remove screw holding the trim around the door handle. remove trim piece around the door handle. pop out the clear red plastic piece and remove the bolt behind it. there is one more bolt, im pretty sure under the door handle. the rest of the door panel is held on by pushin style clips. remember to disconnect the wiring harnesses

The problem is two-fold; first, the the new bearing cone (cup) may not have fully seated; second, the retaining nut may have loosened.
Get the car up on jack stands, release the parki\ggn brake and pop the bearing nut access cap. Next tighten the nut while rotating the road wheel until the wheel no longer turns. Back the nut off until the wheel spins freely. Grad the wheel top and bottom and push in and out until a small amount of play is felt.
Using a centre or drift punch, deform the raised shoulder on the bearing nut so that the metal forms a U shap in the square alignment notch of the stub axle.
Replace the bearing dust cap and road test the car.

Open the rear hatch and look at the side that needs replaced. Along the lens cover you will see 2 screws that hold the lens assembly to the rear hatch frame. Remove these and the lens assembly will come loose(make sure to have your bulb ready to put in) and be careful not to let it fall. The large connection will be the multi purpose light that is blown, remove this and pull bulb out of socket and replace.

On these vehicles its an entire bearing hub assembly.I just recently did this on my wifes 2002 rendezvous and it wasnt as bad as i thought.Jack up the vehicle remove the wheel.Remove the break caliper bolts and swing the caliper off to the side.Then remove the two bolts that hold on the bracket that the caliper bolts to.Next remove the center axle nut. Then look on the back where the axle goes through the hub,you will see three bolts in a triangular pattern remove the bolts un plug the ABS sensors and and pull the entire wheel hub assembly.The whole process took me about 2 hours.

The source of the problem with my Rendezvous was related to corrosion of connectors, primarily at the two wire bundle connections under the front wheel wells - which cost over $700 to replace/repair. Once at settings, use seek or scan button to scroll through menu. Once on subject you want hit number one preset button then dsp button to reset or change setting. To answer the question that's easier . what they did is extend the warranty for the front wheel bearing to 5 year 60,000 miles. that's what they did on my 02 i don't know about other years. the best thing is to contact Buick give them your vin number and they can tell you . I received a letter from Buick which told me about the warranty.i think they will reimburse you for repairs you have done but once again contact Buick its not considered a recall. only other recall for a 02 rendezvous was the rear hatch latch. easiest is to call the dealer and the other answer though good information does not help, being the front wheel bearing is not a recall.
