It could be the headlight switch, It has the dimmer inside it.

on my 1992 I had the same problem it drove me nuts. but there 2 fuses for it. the other one was for the warning buzzard it also says that it is for that so check and see if that is it.

The easiest most inexpensive way to have brake lights and turn signals with an RV is to wire your RV plug at the rear of your tractor OFF your taillights. An RV's turn/stop lights are wired TOGETHER, sharing the same hot wire. Where as a semi trailer is wired with three separate hot wires. One each for L and R turn, and a third and separate wire for brake light(S)2. The only other way to adapt a semi trailer plug to RV is with a converter box. I've never priced one, but understand them to be expensive. I do commercial 'Towaway' w/ semi-tractor as profession and have had and seen multiple tractors wired as I just described to you. The only other advise I would give, would be to run your wires thru a weather sealed junction box ahead of where your female plug is wired on the rear of your tractor. I have seen some setups where they just tapped into tail light wiring w/out junction box and corrosion became a BIG issue after a short period of time ,especially if you run in an area where chemicals and salt are used in winter months.

If you are talking hybrid, a small gas engine drives a generator that charges the batteries that drive the electric motors for the wheels. For small trips, just the battery is used and can be recharged at home. For extended trips, the gas engine runs to keep the batteries charges. As the gas engine runs at a constant rate, the emissions and fuel usage can be greatly reduced compared to a conventional car/engine.

If you are talking a battery electric car, the function remains the same except there is no gas engine to keep the batteries charged when it is not plugged in.

Locomotives on a train operate in a similar way as a hybrid. A big diesel engine turns a generator that supplies electrical power to the drive motors connected to the traction wheels on the rails. The engineer controls the electric power to the drive wheels instead of the diesel engine directly.

might be an issue with the security sensor in the ignition switch. try leaving key on for at least 10 mins, then try to start. this is really only a temporary fix. may stop working completely. Should have it checked at a dealer. switch may need replalcing

The fuse box in newer cars, is located in the engine compartment. The fuse box and older cars is located beneath the dashboard. The dashboard light fuse will be in the fuse box.

The location of the drivers seat adjustment fuse is dependent upon the year, make, and model of the automobile. In most cases the fuse will be in the fuse box. Many times there is a diagram and listing of each fuse on the inside cover of the fuse box.

im not sure if theyre the same in the us and uk, but in the us there is a wheel switch thinger to the right of the sunroof open/close control, which is located to the right of the steering wheel, it controls the brightness of all lights wired to it

Depending on what year, and possible model, it could be a little or a lot different. I have a 2005 Equinox LT. If you take a flat screw driver and pry it up under the plastic below the shifter, there is a series of clips that hold the console surrond on.

Once you get it off you need to put the key into the ignition and turn to the run (not start the car, but just before you crank the engine). This is so you can place the car in drive, but please put the emergency brake on just in case. now you can take the clip out where the windows plug in where you pried up and a couple other clips for the other console functions. Here you need and socket set to take out the four screws holding it in. then slide the unit towards you and there is 2 or 3 plugs into the back. The antenna is kinda wierd looking like it hsouldn't come out, but just give it a good yank. And there you go, just go backwards to install. (I know, I went backwards) If you are having trouble getting a CD player to work that wasn't original to the car, then you probably need an unlcok code that a Chevy dealer can give you with a receipt for it or maybe it is broken. If you want to convert 24v AC into 12v Ac, it's simple. Just get a transformer to convert 24 volts into 12 volts. This is called a stepdown transformer.

If you want to convert 24v DC into 12v DC, it's more complicated. First you have to change the 24v DC into 24v AC by a switching converter that changes DC into AC. Then you would use a stepdown transformer as in the former example. Once the 24v AC is converted to 12v AC, then you use a rectifier bridge to change the 12v AC into 12v DC.

remove the large plastic shield under the steering wheel-something like 8 screws. The blinker is near the steering column.

The oil pressure light can not be reset. The cause of it being on must be repaired. It stays in when the oil pressure is low or there is a sensor malfunction.

the ecm is the cars electronic control module and the pcm is the cars powertrain control module. the ecm controls the ignition and fuel injection system so that when you get close to the speed your cars original tires are safety rated for, your ecm will shut down fuel injection and ignition prcessses until you return to the safe speed. the pcm is a cars powertrain control module. it stops your engine rpms from reaching critical levels. both are computers in your car that enable you to drive safely, and just like any other computer they can be modified, most service to your car now requires the mechanic to diagnose your car like a doctor by plugging into these computers to see whats wrong.

my 93 sl2 does the same thing. the "center" of the ignition sticks "in" (depressed) when removing key. i always just "pop" it out and the alarm stops.
