If you changed the thermostat flushed the heater core and the hoses to the core get hot why would you only get warm air in a 95 Chrysler Concord?

On some cars there is a door that opens and lets cold air through the heater core thence giving warm to the interior of the car. Something in the operation of this door is apparently off. It could be as simple as an adjustment on the temp. control switch, but some doors are operated by air or electricity.

Where is heater core located on 1994 Dodge Dakota 39 and do you need to dismount it to flush it?

Answer

It is located under the dash on the passenger side. You do not need to remove to flush.

the heater core is under the dash in the center the a/c core is on the passenger side

U pinch your nose close your mouh and try to force air out of u that's what I do

How do you fix heater in ba falcon?

To fix the heater in a BA Falcon, first, check the coolant level and ensure there are no leaks in the cooling system. Inspect the heater core for blockages or damage; if it's clogged, you may need to flush it or replace it. Also, examine the thermostat and heater control valve to ensure they are functioning correctly. If these components are fine, the issue might be with the climate control system or electrical connections, which may require further diagnosis.

Why with the heater on does the Chevy Impala blow cold air thru the driver side vent while hot air blows thru the passenger side vent?

you probably have a faulty drivers side temp door actuator

OR

The problem you have is the GM heater control unit has lost it's calibration, which can happen from time to time. The way to reset it is, start your car and turn your heater off, and shut off the car, pull out the keys. Then with vehicle off, disconnect the battery, (or batteries if two). Let sit for 10 minutes, then re-connect battery. Get in and start the engine, DON'T touch anything, let the heater control unit re-calibrate for at least 40 seconds, (by the clock), then try turning on the heater. Usually problem over, ! Note: make sure the radio is turned off before disconnecting the battery and if this does not solve the problem, chances are that the vent accumulator has gone bad. It's common for the gears in the accumulator to crack and seized, if your luck it's just to reset or just to lubricate the gears. Good luck Let sit for 10 minutes, then re-connect battery. Why does a cars temperature gauge go up when the motor has been turned off?

When a car is turn off the water stops circulating, but heat is still being conducted from the warm engine into the water. Aslo warm water rises and the temperatue sender unit is usually placed near the op of the eingine. This causes the temp to rise slightly after turning the engine off

Ford Taurus 2000 heater not blowing warm air?

if you have already replaced the thermostat ,try replacing the heating core . it's located under the passanger side dash .

There are a number of other things to investigate before going to the major under-taking of the heater core.

See "Related Questions" below for a comprehensive trouble-shooting guide to Taurus/Sable heating problems.

97 jeep wrangler heater gets luke warm already replaced thermostat any ideas?

Check the fluid level in your radiator. A low level can cause this. If you have checked your fluid level and everything is still not OK, then I suggest you change your heater block, it may be blocked or damaged.

I agree it is probably the heater core. It is located behind the dash on the passenger side. This means it will be a fairly long process( removing the dash assembly, etc.). High labor cost at a shop for a $100 part. There are numerous guides online if you feel up to the task.( Google search: how to replace a heater core in a jeep wrangler) probably a weekend project.

Why would the heater on a 1998 Mercury Mountaineer blow only cold air?

Worst case:SOunds like your heater core could be blocked. If it never blows warm air then I suspect it is blocked. Antifreeze flows through the heater core like a miniature radiator. There is usually an inlet tube and outlet tube. If your heater core has corroded due to lack of maintenance on the cooling system, then no water will flow through the heater core.

Best case:Or you may have a switch that will not allow the hot water to enter the heater core. I would check the switch first. Some switches work off of vacuum, some work from mechanical means with levers and some are electric. A door or flap sould open to allow the hot air to come into the cabin. If that flap or door is not opening, then that may be your problem.

Ford added a heater valve in 02. This is a vacuum actuated valve that cuts off flow of coolant through the heater core when max AC is requested. Your model should just have coolant flowing directly into the core at all times. A simple check of the flow is to feel both heater hoses going into the firewall from a cold start. The hoses should warm up at about the same rate and get uncomfortably hot. This is a good indication that heat is getting into the passenger compartment.

If it appears that the core is getting hot, the next suspect is the blend door. This door diverts some or all of the air flow through the heater core and commonly fails on the Mountaineer/Explorer/Ranger/Mazda pickup...all of which use the same plenum box. The door is on a vertical axis and has a pervasive problem with the the plastic connection to the motor breaking. The door can swing back and forth randomly or wedge in a strange position, killing heat and AC efficiency. This is an expensive dealer repair, but there is an aftermarket repair kit from HeaterTreater that will address and solve the problem. Complete diagnostic information and diagrams are available.

Check the blend door motor. Remove glove box, there's a plastic case/box motor 3"X4" in there. If the plug-in is lose and wiggles around re-soder. I had this problem and now works (replaced the blend door also) Check out Heater Theater for sure...

Why would car heater work but the defroster not clear the windows?

The heater is set on recirculate the air of the cabin. Set it on normal (from outside the car)

You have to move a button on the console to take air from outside the car or else the air will be too moist from all the humidity that accumulates in the cabin.

Also the engine temperature must be hot enough. I usually run my car at least 5 minutes driving it downtown before it is hot, during cold winter days.

Why doesnt my heater blow hot air in my chevy truck?

Low on coolant.

Bad thermostat.

Plugged heater core.

Temp blend door inop.

Why is antifreeze blowing out through the rad cap and overflow of my 1990 Nissan Pathfinder while cold air is blowing from heater Bad thermostat or water pump?

Bad news, sounds like a head gasket. The coolant is blown out because the exaust is going into the water passage. The heater is cold because there is not enough water to reach it. Your temp. gauge should be hot very quickly. Take the radiator cap off, stand back, and crank the motor. If water shoots out, it's a headgasket, cracked head, or cracked block.

Why would a car heater blow hot when the gauge reads cold and vice-versa?

Someone has either reversed the wires on the temperature gauge or damaged the wires from the engine to the gauge and spliced them back backwards. It is a simple reverse of polarity.

First, check your thermostat, your car may actually be overheating slightly due to the thermostat sticking. If it sticks then no anti-freeze flows through the heater core(providing the cab with heat), which will cause overheating. If it eventually opens, allowing flow, and cooling off the fluid/engine (gauge drops) then fluid flows again giving you anti-freeze through the heater core and heat pours out. Check it by removing it and putting it in a pan of water and boiling the water with a thermometer in the pan (try to hold them both off the pan surface with tongs, it may screw up your reading), watch close for the temp at which it opens, should be 180F, but check for your car.

Second step would be to check your water pump, low flow from a water pump could also cause the same problems.

After those two, "you're on your own kid"

Why does my 2004 Monte Carlo heater blow cold air?

Low coolant?

Bad thermostat?

Heater control cable not adjusted properly?

Heater core airbound?

Heater core plugged?

Heating hoses are hot yet you are not getting heat into car what should you do?

your heater core could be plugged check to see if the two hoses coming from the firewall of the car are hot if the top one is hot and one is not the core is plugged
