Why doesnt the heater on your 1999 Chevrolet suburban work?

Could be: Low coolant in the radiator - or - thermostat stuck open - or - heater core plugged.

What causes the AC Heater blower on a 1990 Le Baron to work intermittently Sometimes works great then will shut off and not work for a while?

First thing to check would be all your connections..make sure you have a good clean ground... if all your connections are good then i would say your blower motor is overheating and shuting down(replace it)

When your heater works but does not blow any air what could the problem be?

Does blower operate at all? If not it could be blower motor, fuse/fusible link, faulty switch, blower resistor pack...sorry not enough info for much more help than that (model, year, just heat not working...or a/c also?)

Why does heater blow cold at idle only blows hot air when accelerating temperature gauge shows normal Chevrolet Impala 2008?

If the coolant level is okay, I would suspect a restricted heater core. Try flushing the heater core.

What could cause an electronic heater from a 94 Lincoln Continental from working only on the defrost position?

This is a great answer but I would like to add to it. the part that goes bad on several Lincoln conti's that cause this problem is called a "blend door actuator" I'm not sure if I spelled it correctly but the purpose of this unit is to control switching from defrost to vent and so on. the part is about 25-35 at every junk yard and a bad idea to buy without some sort of warranty, they almost all go bad eventually. A new one from the Lincoln dealership is 89.75 from all three of the Lincoln parts places in my area. My guess would be its the same price nation wide. the service book calls for 1.2 hours of labor time to replace it. a good shop could install it and only charge you about 200.00 after tax. I .

Answereven though the system is electronic, the air directional controls are still vacuum operated. Defrost is the systems default position, in the event of a loss of vacuum. Most likely, there is a loss of vacuum supply to the heater control system.

Also, the doors that open and close to direct the air flow are controlled by metal vacuum solenoids where the vacuum tubes plug into. Possibly, one of these soleniods has lost its vacuum seal and is not functioning. To visualize them, you open the glove box door and drop the g-box door all the way down by pushing in on the stop-tabs on either side of the glove box itself. then you can see the air flow phlenum (box) and the three solenoids. Also, check to see if one of the vacuum hoses has just come loose.

Why does your heater only blow through the defrost vent on your 1994 Ford F150?

Idk know but mine does it when i start off from a red light or stop sign and as soon as i let off the gas or it changes gears (automatic) it comes through the vents like normal.

I just had that same problem..I took it in to have it fixed and they replaced the blower motor resistor and that seems to have fixed the problem

Why wont your heater change from feet to defrost but blows out hot air still?

most likely your heater controls run via vacuum lines. cracked or broken lines could cause this.

Why doesn't your 1989 ford ranger xlt heater get hot even though you just put in a new thermostat and it is full of antifreeze?

Check both the supply and return heater hoses from engine to heater for blockage or clogging: remove them and flush. Also check the inlet and outlet pipes on the engine and heater core for gunk buildup and leakage.

What causes an '03 Impala dual climate control temp not to change just for the driver's side but the passenger's side works just fine?

The heater temperature sensor is probably disconnected. The ground wire is either loose or not connected at all. The sensor may need to be replaced.

What is the reason for a car's heater to work properly one moment and then not work at all the next?

I would check the coolant level first. When the coolant drops below a certain point,Warm coolant that makes the heater work is no longer present and all you get is cold air. If this doesn't work, I'd try a "hotter" thermostat.
