Where is the motor size stamped on a 350?
Looking at the engine on the left side just behind the water pump on a flat shoulder is the engine code. You will need to give that information to the Chevrolet dealer and he can tell you about it. You can go to one of the book stores and purchase a book.
Car wont start seems to want to try as if theres no gas?
Is there gas in the tank?
Could be dirty fuel injectors.
Could be a failed fuel pump.
What causes a 97 mirage not to start when it gets wet?
Perhaps spark plug wires are porous (due to age) and need to be replaced
05 Dodge diesel cummins 3500 won't start any suggestions?
It is possibly the injection pump. Happened to me. Contaminated fuel can cause it. The pump was replaced along with lift pump. Runs great now--Dodge has the best diesel engine. First, check the fuel pump relay--that happened to me, too. Under the hood, driver's side, plastic snap-off cover.
1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo wont start just clicks?
1st: Clean & tighten all battery connections-start by removing the negative (ground) cable and clean both negative(black) and positive(red), then ensure a tight fit.
2nd: If you're sure the battery is charged and the fittings are tight and still have the "clicking" just look at the starter connections and make sure all connections are clean & tight.
3rd: If the problem still exists the starter solenoid may be defective however, you should do a thorough process of elimination using a manual to pinpoint the problem to make sure you don't miss anything.(these are simple guidelines for a quick & possible remedy)
Why wont my automatic car starter start my car?
wrong key
when using the remote starter the starter does't crank long enough to start the car. Starting the car with the key the car starts five. Could use some help.
fuel pump may be getting tired, fuel filter could be plugged, fuel pressure regulatormight be bad or not getting vacuum. check fuel lines back to the fuel tank and around the engine. sometimes there are plastic lines from a fuel distributor on some of those engines inside the intake manifold going to the injectors that can crack, break, and leak. might be something with that.hope that helps out. good luck.
on my old heater I found that it was installed in a metal shed. When the door was closed I got a boom because there wasn't enought combustion air. I istall screened vents by the front of the heater and now no more problems.
Those screened vents must be of a certain size see the heater mfgr's absolute rule on this - so many sq. in. per btu of heater size and installed one at a high elevation in the room, one at a low elevation and at opposite sides of the room. Have a qualified tech inspect and correct the ignition problem.

Why 1995 Ford Ranger won't start just clicking?
Its Probably your battery. I Happened to my 1996 Ford ranger xlt supercab when i left the lights on at school on day. Hope this helps
Usually in the ign lock cylinder if you have the VATs type key with the resistor in the key. The wires attached to the key lock cylinder often break. If you have the "pass key" type without the little resistor chip then it is different. But it also usually involves removing the key lock cylinder.
Why would a 91 deville not start even after removing and cleaning EGR valve and throttle body?
did you check and clean the air flow meter ,the crankcase breather the idle control valve then the crank shaft sensor ,turn the key do not start it ,take off the fuel cap now can you hear the fuel pump turning ,if no then change the fuel pump relay details found on goggle on were the relay is cost about 20 USD in the UK about £18.
Likely, but no guarantee...
The battery in the Honda car is now too much of a state of discharge to respond to jumping.
If you have an auto battery charger, charging the battery for a while may bring it back again. For a while anyway. Good luck.
Battery is likely toast by now. One can pull it and take it to the local chain parts store and they'll check it for you. And you can see their meters results.
Wal Mart has pretty cheap batteries.PLEASE MAKE SURE THE CONNECTIONS ARE TIGHT
PS any poor connection at the battery or where either of the battery cables go to
need to be secure. If the ground - usually black cable is loose where it attaches to the engine block, or wherever, it can cause no start, no ignition lights and no starter cranking condition too. Same with the + positive usually red battery cable. Good luck, also if you can pop the two tops off the battery, pop them and add water to them and then also put it on slow charge that always does the trick but also remember to make sure the terminals are tight
What happens when car wont start and makes clicking sound?
Check and see if any lights have been left on. If they have then you ran down the battery! You know it is the battery. Has the alternator light been on? If so, you should have taken it in before this!
Usually it is the battery. That is the first thing to check. If you have jumper cables, it is usually easy to get a jump and see if you can get the car started that way. If you can, then, if you did not leave your lights on, you want to go and get the problem fixed.
The next thing that it might be is the starter relay. I can manually trip a starter relay but you can't. If you can not get it started with jumper cables, you need to call someone to fix it for you. Sometimes it is a module. Sometimes I can replace a part in 2 minutes it would take you all day to find.
Try resetting the fuel pump safety switch which is in the trunk. Consult your Owners Manual for the exact location.
Hope this helps! Radioman
I had the same issue and after replacing sensors, regulators, relays, etc. car still wouldn't start! Finally picked up a used pcm/ecm module (electronic control module) at a salvage yard, plugged it in and car started up. Just to test I reconnected the old pcm/ecm and again car wouldn't start. Put back the replacement and car fired up. I've seen on the internet where people did the same as me, replacing fuel pump, sensor, relays, injectors, regulators and their car wouldn't start and they couldn't figure it out so I thought I'd share what worked in my case
Your key could be worn. Try moving your steering wheel while turning the ignition. If the locked steering is in a bind the key will not turn over.
You don't. Mercedes is about the only place that can get it. It takes a couple hours and special tools.
I know. I've had it happen to me on my 190D
Add 1 oz of gas to the carburetor and start right away.
--
I agree with above answer...sort of. I have a '93 VR6 and it does not have a carburator. Maybe spraying starting fluid into the throttle bottle will work, but I would think the fuel pump doesn't need the help on a fuel injected car. But, then again, I'm just a shadetree mechanic.
It is possible that years of dirt have been floating around in the fuel tank and just got sucked into your fuel filter with the last drop of gas, and now your fuel filter is clogged. Besides, nobody ever replaces fuel filters in a timely fashion anyway, so its a good idea to replace the fuel filter and you will probably notice a slight performance improvement. The fuel filter is located on the inside of the frame rail beneath the front door, driver's side I think...easy to find because it has fuel lines attached to both sides. It is aluminum, so silver in color unless its now covered in dirt. The fuel filter is held in place with a clamp with a single bolt to loosen. Mine got rusted together so I removed the two bolts of the bracket and removed the entire bracket to replace the filter. All in all, an easy project if you have a car jack and a safety stand. Make sure the keys are out of the ignition so the fuel pump is NOT energized. There is a little bit of fuel that will spill out (probably on your clothes, if you are like me). The fuel lines are attached by clamps. 10 minute job for a human...30 minutes for a monkey....it took me about 20 minutes. By the way, a fuel filter probably costs $10 or so....one of the better cheap things to do to any car that isn't brand new.
When you try to start my 89 caprice it just clicks what could be the problem?
Check your battery first, its terminal connection and connection leading to the starter.
Can anyone show me a 1997 GMC Jimmy diagram or explain where to locate the coil pack please?
I dont think there is a coil pack. Doesnt it still use a cap and rotor?
It could be one of many potential problems included but not limited to: A faulty park indicator lockout, faulty starter, faulty wiring or connector or a security system that has failed.
Why will car start with jump but sit dead without New battery?
You need to clean the battery post and cable terminals, you are probaly not getting a good connection between the post and terminals.
Answerthe alternater on the car is done for you'll need to install a new one
