Where does the vacuum modulator hose go on a 1981 Chevy C10 with a 305 and 4 barrel carburetor?
It needs to be attached to a full time vacuum source such as a port on the intake manifold.
What size engines are big blocks?
In Chevy and GMC vehicles, the "big block" refers to a larger displacement engine. These engines can include the 396ci, 409ci, 427ci, 454ci, 502ci etc... Simply a larger dispacement does not always define an engine as being a big block. In some cases GM has made engines with 400ci of displacement which are considered small blocks.

Can antifreeze be red in color?
Antifreeze is typically green, but the newer stuff is "gold". If you're getting red liquid leaking from the radiator it's probably the transmission coolant line.
What is the timing mark for BTDC degree for 1987 Chrysler lebaron?
The timing should be set to 12 degrees. First you must fully warm up the engine and then disconnect the coolant temp sensor in the thermostat housing. On the back of the engine (Drivers Side) you will see a rectangular hole to see the timing marks. The hole will have 0 near the front of the car (towards the radiator, and 20 near the back of the car ( towards the firewall).
Now loosen the bolt at the base of the distributor (13mm) and rotate the dist. slowly until the groove in the window on the fly wheel reaches the 12 degree mark. Tighten the distributor back down, and reconnect the coolant temp sensor.
Disconnect the negative cable on the battery to erase the codes set by disconnecting the coolant temp sensor.
You should be good to go now! Hope this helps.

Can you put a 1993 Chevy 700r4 transmission in a 1989 Chevy?
The correct answer is a resounding MAYBE. It depends on what vehicle the 1993 is. Camaro, Caprice, corvette, firebird and yukons all got the 700r4 in 1993. Astros, Blazers, Suburbans, c&k 1500, and G series (vans) all got the 700r4 (aka 4L60) until 1992. in 1993 the 4l60e and 4L80e were introduced. They WILL NOT WORK IN A TRUCK BUILT BEFORE 1993. The 700r4 (4L60) is a vacuum shifted gearbox, the 4L60E & 4L80E are ELECTRONICALLY shifted (hence the "E"). The primitive "computer" used up until 1992 WILL NOT support the Electronic shift.

How do you put a Serpentine Belt on a 1998 Olds Cutlass Supreme?
Not knowing what engine you have in your Olds, most engines will have the "Mapping" of the belt located somewhere under the hood. On my two Olds, they are located on the valve cover. When you purchase a new belt for your car the cardboard holder for the belt will display several diagrams based upon the engine that the belt will fit..... you out.
#1,if this is in a truck, though a 305 is not necessarily a horrible engine,it has a much weaker bottom end then most 350s. Therefore for a truck engine,or any stressed application,I would recommend the 350 over the 305,altogether separate from the power issue.
350 tbi & 305 tbi are the same weather 2 or 4 barrels

How do you fix a stuck push rod on fuel pump on 1980 Camaro?
Pull the fuel pump off and remove the lower two bolts that hold the cover plate to the block. Slide out the push rod and figure out why it's stuck.
If it's just a little sludge, you should be able to clean things up enough to get the push rod to move freely. Also, roll the push rod over a flat surface to make sure it's not bent.
What causes run on in the carburetor?
It's usually because there's too much timing for the fuel available, but some of the 70's era carbs had an anti-dieseling solenoid that would drop the idle speed below normal to make sure the engine stopped.
There is the possibility the battery could blowup. You can damage the complete electrical system.
