Can you program two remote control keys for a 2003 Astro van to work together as one?

I assume you mean you want more than one keyless entry pendant to work the same van. If the pendants are the same make and type, it should be possible. Consult a local Chevy dealer.

You can find out from the manufacturer online how to program them. It has to do with the brand of remote control switch.I've done it before!! good luck

PVC is a type of plumbing pipe, not a valve on your engine. PCV valve would be connected on vaccum hose by intake. If you find it, remove and shake or look for little ball looking thing in bottom. If it makes rattling noise that is your PCV

How much does it normally cost to replace a head gasket in a 92 Chevy Corsica?

the cost will vary, depending on whether you have a 4 cyl. or 6 cyl. engine (one head to do- vs. two heads on a V-6)

If you do much of the labour yourself and get a friend with a troque wrench to help, you should be able to do a 4 cyl. for as little as 400$ (that's even including Milling the head/new head bolts/and some new minor parts that are inexpensive and easier to replace once the head/throttle body/hoses are all unattacthed to do a head gasket job. You can probably get a 4 cyl. done for around 1000$ at a local garage(dealership will be around 1350$) A 6 cyl. done yourself should only be around 500$/local garage around $1100 and a dealership could be as high as 1650$. There are steps to make it cheaper i.e theehad might look okay and a friend or Mechanic might tell you that you do not need to mill the head (or check it for cracks- this depends on the severity of the ehead gasket ---bad leak or blow !!) The reason I know some of this is that I have been through it three times and have been able to keep the cost down by getting a friend's help, and once by doing almost 90% of it myself !!! p.s.-don't forget to get the intake manifold checked for cracks !! good luck!!!!!

Lookng to buy a 94-96 Astro van for about 3000 with about 130K on it What are some problems or defects to look for so as not to get taken?

1. EGR Valve should have been replaced or may need replacing due to carbon build up (if idling funny)

2. Fuel line inside Plenum my be cracked or brittle due to heat. If you smell fuel from inside cabin, this may be the cause. Not too bad of a fix

3. Engine block plug may be leaking from the rear of motor

4. Check alternator

5. Worn Idler arms may cause loose steering wheel.

6. Most likely the ac will not work through the vents and the rear. Cause, I don't know.

7. I bought a 1995 Astro for 1300 with 134K on the odometer...and I still feel like I got taken but if its in good condition and you plan to keep it for awhile then get it.

Why is the left signal light on all the time and blinking really fast on the front yet the rear does not show anything?

Usually if the signal is blinking fast, it means there is a problem with the circuit. Usually this is caused by a lightbulb going out. They've engineered the cars to blink fast to let you know that the bulb might be out, since you usually can't see your own turn signals. I'd try replacing the rear taillight bulb first to see if that fixes the problem.

How can you drain all the transmission fluid from your 2000 Mercury Sable to put all new fluid in as recommended by the maker?

You'll have to take it to a dealership and ask to have a transmission flush. It used not to be possible to get ALL the fluid out unless the transmission was completely removed from the vehicle which could cause other problems if all the outer seals were not replaced. You could get most of it out by draining the pan and the Torque Converter. However, there is no longer a drain plug on most torque converters these days so a flush is just about the only way to do it with the transmission still in the vehicle. It is a fairly new procedure that is now possible thanks to the new flushing machine which hooks up to your cooling lines (the metal tubing that runs from your transmission to your radiator).

Hey Robert==I have been a mechanic for MANY years and as stated, the flushes havent been around very long. I have changed just 4-6 quarts of fluid for many years and have had no ill effects from just changing that much especially if it is done every 30,000 miles. This is MY 2 cents worth. Good luck, Joe

How do you fix the sliding door on a 1995 Dodge Caravan?

I have found that usually the problem is the rollers freeze up on the door. You can take the door off by taking off the trim piece above the track with a phillip screwdriver. Take the door off by removing all the small bolts holding the 3 bracket arms connecting to the door. Clean and grease up the rollers, spray the tracks with WD-40. Reassemble. Done.
