Why are your brake lights on your fiesta mk3 always on how can you stop this?
It's nothing to do with the parking brake. If you follow the brake pedal up behind the dash you with find a switch thats pushed on when when you press the brake, this will be stuck and will need easing off, i used grease on mine. I had the same problem

Had the same problem on a 94. Behind the brake pedal there's a small switch that triggers the brake lights when it's pushed on. Sometimes the plastic(might be rubber) piece gets old and breaks causing the brake lights to say on at all times. Honestly, I stuck some double sided tape and a quarter on there because no one carried a replacement and I just never got around to going to the junk yard. It's been that way for about 3 years now and I've still not had the problem again lol. Good luck.

find the fuse ,if not that then ck to see if you have power to bulbs with a 12 volt light tester if you do have power then then ck your ground wire for contanuity if not your bulbs are bad , if not ck wire connections ,good luck
Its probably a blown head gasket. Ford rangers are natorious for blowing head gaskets. Check to see if there is oil in your water if you even have any water left. But if there is a blown head gasket in that spot it would allow water to get into the cylinder and of course make it not run correctly because as we all know WATER DOESN'T BURN. And if your trcuk blows water or alot of steam out the exaust that would be a result of a blown head gasket. If that isn't the case than it could be some stupid problem like the spark plug isn't tightened all the way or the valves cover is leaking because it's not tighted all the way either. Fill your truck up with gas. Set you milage to 000000. Then drive you truck till for a while. Then fill your truck up again and write down the milage. Look in the manual for the size of you gas tank. Look at the gas gauge for the pos. Then you can do the math to find out your MPG and from there you can find how far you can go on a tank of gas.
