The ecu or ecm is located on the passenger side, behind the kick panel, if not there, remove the bottom cover on that side and look up, it has three plugs connected to it and is usually bolted or cliped on to a bracket. you may have to remove the glove box to gain access.

6 Cyl - Under the Air Filter Assembly 4 Cyl - Looking at the engine, it is located on the left side behind the engine. Be aware that this location may require your hands/arms to be dangerously close to the belt pulleys when hooking up. It is a good idea to hook up connection with engine off, then start engine and charge A/C. When charge is complete, turn off engine then disconnect. Safety First! Good luck, I hope this info helps!

I just changed one. I took the lower part of the dash loose. To take the lower part of the dash loose remove 2 nuts on the outside corners of dash and remove a screw in each of the 2 brackets toward the center of the dash. There were 2 bolts that hold the steering wheel to the dash. I removed these bolts and let the steering wheel drop down about an inch so I could pull the dash out a couple inches to get to 2 clips on the rear seat diverter cover (first plastic cover to get to the heater core).

Most likely you have a vacume leak under the dash.Check for lines off or broken.They will harden and crack with excessive heat,such as in the engine compartment.

Most likely there's a leak at the bottom driver-side of the windshield. After the mat dries out, close the windows and concentrate a strong stream of water from a hose, starting with that area. If you see no leak, go on around the windshield a little bit at a time. Water can run from anywhere and drip down behind the cowl. I had the same problem. Two fixes. 1. Leak in the heater core or core in/out flex connectors. (replace it) 2. Blockage in A/C evaporator/condenser drain. (overflows into driver footwell. I had this problem with my 93 Corsica. A buddy with a 91 Beretta showed me it was the same problem that he had. There was a crack in the gutter where it is welded to the firewall as well as dried up sealant between the firewall and wheel well in the engine compartment. Try pulling up the carpet and underlay, in my case the water had come in and was running down the firewall behind the brake pedal but under the underlay. There are four 10mm screws located on the back of the steering wheel that must be removed to lift out the air bag module. Once you have the module out, remove the green tab from the wire harness attached to the air bag. The green tab just pulls out allowing the clip to be unfastened.

on mine i just changed the o2 sensor located in the front by fan

the first thing you should check is your oxygen sensor. kinda looks like the butt end of a spark plug and screws into the top of your exhuast where it comes off the head. in a corsica its usually found right in front of your fan assembly. this was a problem for the corsica i used to own. not very difficult to change nor is it very expensive but boy what a change it made. .

fluid is foamy because fluid level got to low when you fill pump up turn wheel all the way left then right do this several times then let it sit for a while then do again what you are doing is trying to remove the air out of the system this should stop the squaling but you have a bigger problem if it was that low you have a leak that needs to be fixed or you will continue to have the same problems

Bad spark plugs can indeed cause an engine to idle rough. If any of the spark plugs are misfiring or are not producing enough of a spark to ignite the fuel, then not only will the engine idle roughly, it will alwso waste gas. If may seem as though it is running fine when you are driving however, you still may be wasting gas and your pickup may not be as fast as it should.

Do computer check, some parts stores will loan you the computer to check your car. Check for spark at he plugs, pull a wire off one of the plugs and have someone start the car, hold the wire close to the plug, one eighth inch, look for a spark, if no spark, do the same thing at the coil, if no spark follow wires back to battery or jump directly from battery, if nothing, pull coil and have it tested at auto supply. If not electric, check for fuel coming from tank, disconnect fuel line and start car, if no fuel it's probably a bad fuel pump.

It turns out the problem was that a couple of bulbs on the left side were burned out (front left turn signal, one of the rear turn signal/brake light bulbs.) After replacing the rear bulbs, the signal would work, albeit slowly. Once I pulled the front left turn bulb (with the intent of replacing it the next day), the turn signal light went steady-on regardless even without moving the signal indicator arm. That problem also went away when the remaining bad bulb was replaced.

If you mean electrical reset switch, the easiest way to do this; disconnect the negative battery cable for approx. 15 minutes and this will reset your electrical system. If you have a warning light which keeps coming back on, chances are you have a problem with either a sensor or a part. In that situation, you should take your car to a professional mechanic for diagnostic testing if you don't know how to do it.

You must drop the fuel tank in order to replace the fuel pump.

Look at the rocker arm stands[where the rockers bolt down to the head] some are higher.Thats where the long rods go,The low stands are for the short rods. Hope this helps

if you already bolted and torqued the cylinder head,stand right at the passenger side and draw an imaginary line along the six rocker arms.you will notice that three are at the same distance .the three that are closer to the exhaust manifold ,those are the exhaust rocker arms.the exhaust rocher arms are the longer ones.

On 3.1L Engines it is on the front of the engine above the starter mounted in the engine block.

On 2.2L engines it is above the oil filter mounted in the engine block.
