Why do chimps live in Africa?

Chimps, along with Gorillas, have lived in Africa for millions of years because they are descended from earlier monkey-like primates. Think of it like a family living in one particular state for countless generations. There is obviously something about the state that meets the needs of the family. Likewise, the jungles of central Africa have everything Chimps need. Therefore, they have no reason to leave.

Can you still get a cdl after 1 DUI conviction in the state of Michigan without ever having a cdl license?

As long as you've met the conditions for reinstatement of your licence and driving privilege, you can upgrade to a CDL. However, before you go and do this, you may want to give some thought to it - if that DUI occurred within the last three years, your chances of finding employment as a CDL driver are practically nil. If it happened in the past four to seven years, it will still make things difficult for you. If it happened more than seven years ago, you should be alright.

How do you know if you are antisocial?

A good first clue would be; Do you like people or would you be happier with non-sentient beings?

Do people like you or no?

The main reason sociopaths don't usually seek help from their fellow human beings is that they can'ttrust, rather than that they like being as they are. Plus, they canoften sense exactly what sort of a response any call for help on theirpart is most likely to elicit from professionals and lay folk alike.Sociopaths are not breezing along in paradise. It isn't all a game. It's a truly miserable existence. And it can be made better. It may notbe "curable" yet, but it most certainly isn't as hopeless as so manypeople say. There is therefore nothing to be gained and much to be lostwhen therapists and lay folk try to ostracize sociopaths from the humanrace entirely! Sensationalism and superstition will only preventprogress.

This was written on another question on the same essential topic as this one, by a self-confessed sociopath who was officially diagnosed (other than me!) --

  • Sociopaths, though born that way, are people too. To avoid anentire group of people is absurd. That's like saying, "Since thesepeople have dark skin, everyone should completely avert themselves fromthem." I am a moderate sociopath, and though part of me doesn't want tochange, another does. Many times it is really entertaining to see howstupid people can be, especially when they're so gullible as to believeevery word that mellifluously flows from my lips. Yes, I am parasitic, but even so, there are some people I would like to stop hurting. Ican't find any websites that can provide a way to help my sociopathy.Maybe people like you should stop your self-victimisation and starttrying to actually help people like me! I knew I was a sociopath beforethe age of ten but have only recently had it officially diagnosed. I ameighteen years old now, and I have been lying and destroying others'sanity for a long time. So, please post some helpful tidbits that mighthelp sociopaths resist the sweet urges we get when we encounter weakhuman beings. When you cut us, do we not bleed? When you kill us, do wenot die? Do you honestly think that you're being lied to andmanipulated when we sincerely ask for help. Listen to yourselves! Thisis the internet; ergo, you're safe from our fortified mental grasp.

The essay that follows was written in another answer by anotherself-admitted sociopath, who actually might not be a sociopath. Stillanother person added the brief comment to that effect after her tragic essay.

  • umm... i kindof am one... just so y'all know, it's not so muchfun being one either. i read that sentence up there, "Incapable of realhuman attachment to another." i don't even know what that is, i see it,i approximate it... it's like being outside a door looking through adirty window and watching re-runs of people I've seen in love or withchildren or with friends, and scratching, sometimes banging at theglass to get in and... nothing. I'm fond of people in every sense ofthe word, their little quirks and habits, the way they see life, exceptif they went away it wouldn't bother me much other than finding someoneelse to be fond of. i don't have friends, i only date military menbecause they're ok with only having a girlfriend for a couple monthsand i tell them in advance i won't wait for them... i don't know whatelse to do to limit the damage i inflict on others just as a result ofthem knowing me, short of moving to the mountains... but i still movebetween 2-5 times a year :( it's kindof hard walking around knowingi'll never have what i see making other people so happy and runningwhen i can tell someone is getting close just because i don't want tohurt them more later down the road... i'd like it alot to settle down,i WANT to be able to feel more with people, but it's hard to miss whatyou never had. i want what i THINK it would feel like... it'd be easyto give in and let someone stay because I'm so lonely... but hey, i'vewritten enough, just know i try to be a responsible little sociopath, iwon't ever get married or have kids, i practice safe sex, i won't stayin one city for long... everything you all take for granted i willnever let myself have just because i WANT to take it for granted. beinglike this won't go away so hopefully i can limit the amount of hatethrown my way by limiting my interaction with people, i don't know whatelse to do. and you all might not belive this, but i am sorry, hopefully i can speak for the other people who have damaged your lives.

Comment: The above testimony is clearly not indicative of asociopath because they seem to make efforts to keep from harmingothers, even if it doesn't benefit themselves.

When doing bench presses do you count the weight of the bar as well?

Yes, you count the weight of the bar

Answer:

A lot of bodybuilders, myself included, just talk about what is on the bar in the gym, ie I'm lifting 60 kilo's, not, I'm lifting 67.5, 75 or 85 kilo's, depending on which of the 3 variants I'm on at the time. A lot of your upmarket gyms, don't know the weight of their bars, or even the weight of their stacks, which leaves it to the realm of 'guestimation' at best.

Your 2003 Suzuki RM 250 is bogging out at high revs and you dont know the problem can you help you?

BoggingCould be dirt in the carb, loading or starving for fuel, or possible worn/damaged reeds. Clean and set carb, change to a new NGK BR-7-ES plug, install in-line fuel filter, and inspect reeds. It could also be a simple fix like the gas and oil mixture might be too rich. (as in too much oil)

Why would the newly replaced clutch on a 1997 Isuzu Rodeo not depress without a ton of force and actually feel like it is pushing back at a certain point?

Something is installed incorrectly. Most likely you did not install the "Pull clutch" properly. With a 1997 Rodeo clutch, the release bearing actually snaps into the ring in the clutch, and when the clutch is depressed the release bearing pulls the clutch, rather than the standard "Push clutch" model. So, when you are depressing the pedal, the clutch is not being pulled away, giving you the hard pedal feel. Make sure when installing your release bearing that you remove the small ring from the back of the connector ring on the clutch before you insert the release bearing, and then snap it back on after the release bearing is completely installed or the clutch will not work properly.

How do you make gunpowder?

There are three chemicals needed to make gunpowder. Potassium Nitrate, Charcoal powder, and Sulfur powder. Mix the chemicals following the 75:15:10 ratio of potassium nitrate:charcoal powder: Sulfur powder. Put the mixture in a ball mill and grind for about two hours (make sure to use lead balls, iron ones might spark and blow you up). That's how you make gunpowder.

One thing that I would like to add to this is that you should add a small amount of alcohol to the mixture to further prevent blowing yourself up. water works also but it doesn't evaporate as fast. You can also use a Mortar and Pestle to grind it.

You can get peter salt at a pharmacy. Charcoal is available pretty much anywhere, just stay away from briquettes and focus on natural charcoal. sulfur is a slightly different matter.

Please be sure to check the laws in your state, city, town or country as New York, New Jersey, Conneticuit, Washington D.C. and other United Staes Of America territories require the Non-Licensee has at least a "Low Explosives Manufacturer License" class 28 to 32 if you make your own powders as a hobbie (model rocket, fireworks, etc.)

Per ATF website you must meet certain requirements such as having a magazine to store your explosive powders in. The explosive mixtures cannot be stored in or near a residential dwellings and must be within a certain distance from the dwellings. Your "Magazine" will need to be inspected and you will be interviewed by an ATF officer or an officer for the state or city you are located.

There are fees and a background check. Although per ATF a person can buy and/or own up to 50lb of commercially made black powder however the "Non-Licensee" cannot be a felon or have a history of mental illness.

Any mixtures containing Nitrates, Acids and/or any other chemicals (Listed on the ATF website) that can produce an explosion after being mixed is considered "Manufacturing Explosives" regardless of the amount (even a mole). A "Low Explosive manufacturer" license is required otherwise the person(s) can be charged/prosecuted in accordance to the currect laws in your city/state ("think 911").

Which animal have been taught to use sign language?

Koko (born July 4, 1971) is a female gorilla who, according to Francine "Penny" Patterson, is able to understand more than 1,000 signs based on American Sign Language and understand approximately 2,000 words of spoken English.

The bonobo (a type of ape), Kanzi, who learned to speak using a keyboard with lexigrams, picked up some sign language from watching videos of Koko; Kanzi's researcher, Sue Savage-Rumbaugh, did not realize he could sign until Kanzi began signing to anthropologist Dawn Prince-Hughes, who had previously worked closely with gorillas.

Washoe (c. September 1965 Ellensburg - October 30, 2007) was a female chimpanzee who was the first non-human to learn to communicate using American Sign Language, as part of a research experiment on animal language acquisition.

A few other gorillas and chimpanzees have supposedly learned sign language.

------------------------------------

Of course, they can have no fingers, but dolphins and some whales have been taught to respond to sign language as well.

Conversely, the bonobo (Pan paniscus) is primarily frugivorous, but will also eat leaves or other, smaller mammals.
