I have the same problem with a '82 Poweram 150 - It was suggested to me that it could be the engine is improperly connected to the negative terminal on the battery. Take jumper cables and ground one side to the negative terminal, the other clipped to the engine near the distributor. Might do the trick.

if the pump is a electric one than its located by the rear fuel tank, however if its a machanical one than its located under the alternator

Mechanical pump on the front passenger side of the engine.

# 1 on the distributor cap faces to the front ( inline with the center of the engine ) according to the picture in my Chilton repair manual

That is the correct "firing order" , but I believe he wanted to know the "initial timing" setting. I googled it, and came up with 08 degrees BTDC (before top dead center)for a '79 350 Chevy.

That should put you in the ballpark, but experimenting with your timing setting for optimum performance is usually required, especially if the engine isn't completely "stock". Good luck.

Also if you are setting timing for the first time disconnect the vacume advance hose from carb / or manifold then set base timiming at 8 degrees. The advance in H.E.I will set the rest of the advance setting for that year of truck.

you either take the engine out or take the tranny . you got to take flywheel off engine and take a hammer and flathead and pop the old one out . then pop new one in put all back together

I have a 1987 Dodge D100 318 and the fuel pump was at the front of the engine underneath where the air compressor/a'c pump is at. looking at the front of the truck it is on the lower left side almost directly behind radiator

The 1989 should be fuel injected which will mean the pump is in the tank.

If this is in reference to heater fan speed control, it is typically mounted inside, on the firewall, on the passenger side, under the glove box.

To install weatherstripping on a 1970 Dodge D100 you must at first open the driver door and roll down the window all the way. Stating at one end of the weatherstripping, pull off the stripping with your hands. If you are having trouble swab some acetone inside of the stripping to help release it. Clean the entire area where the weatherstripping once was with a swab and acetone. Make sure to get all of the old adhesive off of the car. Apply a line of new adhesive into the groove where the weather stripping will go. Also apply a line of new adhesive onto the part of the weatherstripping that will be pushed into the groove. Push the weatherstripping firmly into the groove on the door and hold it there for 10 minutes. Repeat steps one through five on the other door.

The head bolt torque for the Dodge 6 cylinder and V-8 engines is 50 ft. lbs. torque. If it is a diesel engine, the torque is 90.4 ft. lbs. Tighten the bolts by working from the center out, and alternating side to side. This prevents warping of the head.

The grill comes off with 6 Phillips head screws and the proper sized hand and arm can reach under the hood to manually pull the locking lever. My cable is still seized so I will have to replace it but the hood release can be bypassed.
