The difference between min and max is, the min means the minimum amount of oil you can have in your engine, max means the max amount of oil you can have without causing overflow of the oil. You want it in between so when your engine gets hot and your oil expands a little bit it won't over flow your oil filter or dipstick, plus too much over the max level and you could cause oil filter problems, which then in turn can ruin your engine.

On the manual transmission the dip stick is also the speedometer cable mount. When you remove the cable from the back side which is between the motor and firewall you will see the dots on the housing that holds the speedo gear. This is also where you refill the trans. I think it is easiest to just drain the trans and put the recommended amount it takes to fill it.

I have a 1994 ford aspire, just cleaned the EGR valve last week. it is located just to the left of the #1 fuel injector and the passenger side of the fuel rail.

This problem could be attributed to a malfunctioning Idle Air Control (IAC) Valve. This device consists of a temperature-controlled idle air bypass valve and an electrically actuated solenoid to control the flow of coolant through the device in order to regulate idle speed. I know the valve is supposed to admit idle air when cold and divert it when hot, unless the solenoid is activated by the PCM. I assume correct operation lowers the temperature by limiting the flow of hot coolant through the valve once the engine is warm and under load. A wax pellet is used for thermostatic control of the air flow, and can be checked on the car by attempting to blow air through the inlet off the main air intake using a hairdryer and ice to artificially heat and cool. Electrical problems could occcur either with the solenoid or insufficient voltage from the PCM. I believe it is supposed to be at least 11 volts. The PCM is supposed to respond to loads caused by the transmission, power steering, lighting and climate control systems based on the positions of their individual switches and relays, so that any one of these could present a problem as well. The valve is mounted adjacent to the throttle body using four studs and nuts and cleaned with a solvent safe for coated throttle bodies, as well as the throttle body itself once the valve is removed. The solenoid is the cylindrical component attached to the valve body using one center-pinned Torx and three Phillips screws. Having said all this, I have found that taking the above steps may not lead to a solution of every idle problem, but nearly always results in improved driveability of the car.

if you look under the back seat there is a rectangular plate held down by 4 screws... under that is a circular plate held down by three scews... this gives you access to the gas tank and the fuel pump.......there it is

I have a 1994 fwd escourt that had similar problems. It turned out to be a broken shifting link inside the tranny. It aslo set me back 1500.00 because the part had to be removed and welded. Hope this help

According to the Haynes Repair Manual the firing order for all Aspire 1.3 liter engines is 1-3-4-2. This is the usual firing order for most 4 cylinder engines.

drain the oil out, look for cap that says motor oil. put the right amount of oil into it. turn it on and make sure no oil is leaking. let set for a little bit and check oil.

take out 3 screws on the bottom of the steering coullum then the bolt on either side of the coullum that holds it up after it drops down the switch is right there easy to get to
