Ford E-150 Van

There are actually two fuse boxes.

One inside under the dash lefthand side near the steering column.

It's covered by a plastic cap.

The other - power distribution box - is located in the engine compartment

left side under/beside the battery. It's also covered by a plastic lid

A likely cause is the brake pedal switch. It is on the brake pedal shaft. The switch must close when you step on the brake to shift the transmission from Park to other gears. The switch itself can be bad and must be replaced or one or more wires to the switch may be broken. My 1997 Ford Thunderbird would not shift out of Park until I found a broken wire and reconnected it. The entire switch can be removed to remove small broken wires from the switch that cannot be reconnected. Longer wires can then be inserted into the switch in order to splice the switch wires to the car wires. The correct size Crimp connectors and a Crimping tool would be good for a wire splice. Wrap the splice with rubber tape, not vinyl plastic tape. DISCONNECT THE NEGATICE GROUND CABLE TO THE BATTERY BEFORE DOING THE WORK. RECONNECT AFTER THE SPLICE IS COMPLETE.

I've found that the rear brakes generally wear out twice as fast as the front brakes, probably because they are half the size. The rear disk brakes are integrated with the emergency brake. This means that you will need a special tool to screw the brake cylinder back into the caliper once you've installed the new brake pads. Note that the cheap-o cube things don't have the right size, but you can get the good brake caliper kit kit through the loan-a-tool program at your neighborhood autoparts store. Step by step you do the following: Remove the rear wheel and clean the rotor and brake assembly with brake cleaner. Brake pads contain asbestos so you want to remove as much brake dust as possible before working on them and take precautions to avoid breathing in any brake dust. Remove the 2 bolts holding the brake caliper on, then slide off the caliper. Support the caliper by hanging it off a wire so that you don't stress the brake lines. Remove the old brake pads. Make sure your new brake pads came with clips before getting rid of the old ones. Remove the screw holding the rotor in place. I found that for my Jetta there was just enough room to replace the rotor without removing the brake caliper mount. I had to remove the mount for the front brakes. If you do have to remove the caliper mount, you'll need an 8 or 9 mm hex wrench if you don't have one in your toolbox. Install the new rotor. With the special brake caliper tool, turn and push the cylinder to just about flush with the caliper. Install the new brake bads. Slide the caliper into place over the brake pads and bolt it back in place. Put your wheel back on.

There is no fuse for the compressor itself, if the compressor is not working, the low pressure switch has activated and there is not enough refrigerant in the system. Have your AC system serviced by a good shop or your local Chrysler dealer.

Worked for me was to hold the clock button (clk) and while holding that use another hand to adjust the time, seek adjusts the hour and tune adjusts the minutes.

no such thing. running the car unignited on "on" will prime the system and remove air, water, and will renew pressure. remove fuel pump fuse under driver's side dash and turning car "on" will drain fuel pressure. battery kill for one minute will reset ecu. these are all the things you can do to cause fuel system to revert to "default" settings.

The owners manual has a section on fuses, including pictures of the fuse box in the drivers area and the fuse box under the hood. The fuse box cover usually has a diagram on it. Aftermarket repair manuals ie. Hayne's Clymer's Mitchell's Auto repair manuals are available for about $15.00 Hope this helps.

Fuel pump, which is located under the intake, is upside down. Be care not to damage spacer plate. From there you will see the pump.

Under the hood, drivers side, beside the brake boost canister, you will notice the wiring harness going into the firewall (kind of behind the oil fill tube). Remove the wiring harness by loosening the one large bolt. This harness is bolted to the ECU. Once the harness is out of the way, you remove the two captive screws which hold the plastic flange on the firewall, which holds the ECU in place. The whole thing slides forward into the engine compartment, it's mounted upright.
