Where is the block heater cord on a 2000 Pontiac Bonneville?
Mine was zip-tied and stuck behind one of the headlights. It seems that it was never used so I would check there first. I found it changing a bulb. Didn't know what it was at first since I'm still young & dumb.
Where is the starter on 1999 Town and Country limited van?
I just found this out this evening! It is located on the front of the engine near where the engine and transmission come together. It is under what I believed to be the exhaust manifold.
Possible yes, probable no. What is most likely happened is he told her the CV boots in both front axles are torn/broke/exposed. This is easily identifiable by excessive grease on the inside of your front rims if it's the outer CV boots. The best solution is to have the axle replaced, but a less costly option is to have the boot replaced. The labor hours are the same but parts cost are cheaper. The con of doing a CV boot replacement is that you don't know what dirt has gotten into the CV joint that could cause failure down the road. Even if they clean the CV joint there is no way of seeing how badly damaged the bearings in the CV joint are. So axle replacement is more expensive but also offers more peace of mind. hope that helps
NO. The tire is an inch bigger around than the rim....
How do you replace the spark plugs on a Ford contour V6?
Luckily, all spark plugs are available without removing the intake manifold. Tools you will need are:
ratchet set6"-9" extention 3/8" drive (6" with an added 3" drive will work just as good)sparkplug socket
First start out by removing the black plastic cover over the front intake manifold, there are three cap screws that you must remove using your ratchet set. This will expose three of the six spark plugs and respective wires.
Next, follow the spark plug wires back to where they attach to the coilpack, note the other three spark plug locations just under and forward of this coilpack, there are your other three spark plugs.
It should be pretty much self explanitory from here on out, but just remember it is easiest to do one wire and plug at a time, so as to match up the wire with the correct size and avoid dealing with the possibility of matching up the coilpack with the wrong spark plug, then your car will definitely not want to run.
Hope this helps, let me know if you need more help.

What is fuse for 2005 ford escape auxiliary power point?
You said,
F14 in the engine compartment fuse box - also referred to as "PWR 1"
isn't that nice of Ford not to make it clear in the manual?
Thanks for the answer, however,
It got me close, but actually on my 2005 Escape it is fuse F12. In my manual, it labels to the console device in the picture as the "auxiliary power source". Makes sense. In the fuse block diagram (in this same manual), they label fuse F12 "power point". I thought that was a Microsoft product. ;-) Those wacky Ford folks... Anyway, I could see the fuse was blown when I removed it, so problem solved.
How do you enable the daytime running lights in a 2006 Ford Escape Limited?
On my 2005 just turn the light switch all the way clockwise when looking at the end of the lever on the stock( the left hand lever).
What is the proper gas to put in a Ford Escape 2008?
According to the 2008 Ford Escape Owner Guide :
Both the 2.3 liter four cylinder engine and the 3.0 V6 are designed to use :
( " regular " unleaded gasoline , 87 octane )
Trouble code P0316 means: Misfire in the First 1000 Revolutions
That light may indicate there is a problem with your ABS system. I do not own an Altima but some dashes have an ABS light and some don't. If yours has an ABS light in the dash then please disregard my reply. The only other reason a brake light may be on is if the piston in the master cylinder goes down too far and hits an electrical conection that tells you you may have fluid loss such as a caliper leaking but you said the brake fluid is full unless your master cylinder is failing
because the light is the indicator that the transmission has locked into place, if it doesnt then the transmission will give you hell...
Why does the over drive off light flashes in your 95 Lincoln town car?
Had it happen on mine, right before the shifting to 2nd gear went out. I think the trans is setup to flash the OD light as an indication of some troubles.
ISTR the transmission shop owner saying one could tell by when the flashing occurred, or maybe the sequence of flashing, as to what the error was.
In my case I had about 110,000 miles on the trans...shop said his pickup (with same trans) also went out the same way at around 115,000 miles.
I ended up with a very expensive rebuild, but the shop made some major changes (like by putting in a sprag unit for 2nd gear control, revalving shift points, etc.) and the car now runs with seemingly sharper shifts and more power transmitted.
Good luck! (how many miles on your trans? if between 100K and 120K, you might have same problem...it's pretty common.)
How does the front wheels lock in on a 1996 GMC 4x4?
If it doesn't have manually locking hubs on the front wheels, It means it's a "constantly" locked front 4x4. You don't have to lock them, they already are.
Where is the exterior temperature sensor on a 2002 bravada?
It's on the driver side. Behind the grill.
What does it mean when your over drive light flases on and off?
It means you have a transmission electronic control fault
Your brakes need bleeding. And if you have antilock brakes, you should take it to a shop to bleed them. It takes special tools to bleed antilock brakes. If you have regular brakes you can bleed them yourself. Could go into further detail but would take too long to explain. Refer to a repair manual.
Note: bleeding antilock brakes without first disconnecting the sensor will damage the sensor and the antilock function will no longer work (learned the hard way, unfortunately).
The Rims will fit as long as they are the same number of studs and puting 17 inch rims on will not screw up your speedo as long as the tires you use have the same outside diamiter. If they are the tires that came with the original 2007 silverado they will be the same outside diamiter as your 16" wheels and tires
You can also adjust for larger tires on the speedometer with a hypertech controller.
How do you engage 4 wheel drive on a 2010 Ford Escape?
I was looking at the 2010 Ford Escape Owner Guide and it shows :
" the 4 W D system is always active and requires no driver input "
Why does the brake warning light stay on on a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GT but brakes seem fine?
There could be an issue with the anti lock brakes if it equipped with them. It could also be that the brake fluid is low or the switch for the emergency brake is broken.
