When you say Ground Wire, do you mean at the battery or someplace else? Generally, any metal part of the car is "grounded" and will complete the circuit back to the battery. If you are looking for a ground inside, find a screw that is fastened into METAL, not screwed into plastic. If you have a voltmeter, set the scale to OHMS, and touch one probe to the metal loop where the door latches to the frame (a good ground) and touch the other probe to what you think is a good ground. If the meter beeps, then you are good to go.

Follow the ignition wires to the coils The coils are bolted to the module underneath The module control spark to the spark plugs. It sends the required signal to the coil as to when to fire t then fires and "sends" the spark through the ignition wire to the spark plug

You take out the bottom cushion of the rear seat. Take the access cover off the sheet metal under the seat. Disconnect the fuel and electrical lines. Using a wooden dowel or a brass punch drive the holding ring counter clockwise. Lift out the pump. Caution: Don't use a steel punch to drive the holding ring off. It could cause sparks which could really ruin your day.

Generic instructions and I'm assuming a 5 speed manual trans... Get a Chiltons or similar manual Block front wheels, raise rear, put jack stands. Raise front and put jack stands to give you some room to work. mark drive line with chalk or paint in relation to the front and rear yokes so you can put back the same for balance reasons.Remove drive line(would be good time to replace "U" joints). Remove bolts from cross member. Remove transmission linkage. Remove bolts holding tranny to bell housing. Use a jack to raise tranny off of the cross member and remove cross memberremove tranny. I'd put a new clutch/pressure plate and have fly wheel turned and put in a new throw-out bearing assembly. Assemble in reverse order, fill tranny with appropriate lubricant.

The ign control module is in the air cleaner and is calle the "lean burn system". Your unit is 20 years old and probably needs replacement if you car is running poorly. Do some research on the lean burn system and you will find that it was an over complicated electronic ignition. Mopar has a electric ignition replacemen kit to bypass the LBS. This is an option to replacing the lean burn computer available at NAPA for about $135.00. The replacement is easy fix (about 4 screws and 2 plugs) and will fix your ignition problems, but if you plan on driving the car for a length of time get the conversion kit ($200.00).

1. Open the rear window all of the way.

2. Disconnect a battery cable.

3. Remove the door panel.

4. Take the weather strip off the top the door.

5. Unscrew both retainers. Remove the center channel and division bar.

6. Remove the regulator roller through the large hole in the lift bracket.

7. Tilt the window and remove it from the door.

8. Pull the fixed window out of it's channel.

no it wont fit, it will be shorter and therefore less power [ not mentioning that the conrods of the 1.6 will be of shorter length. and not sure but i think that the pistons wont fit either.

For a Galant:

Open the trunk. Remove the three clips. Take off the trim cover partially. Remove the three light case mounting nuts. Push the white square grommet and remove the light case. Remove the socket assembly and bulb together by turning it counterclockwise. Take off the bulb by turning it counterclockwise while pushing it inward. The outer two bulbs are for the tail light. Use bulb number 2057.

It is mounted on the passenger side firewall by the paaenger glove. It is closest to the LSF fender. Install and beat (tap) on the starer.The vehicle should turn over!

If you mean the car stumbles and dies then you need a tune up. If you mean the car dies "instantly" the Reverse light wire might be interfering with the carburetor shut off solenoid. The Solenoid is also wired to the coil with the reverse light. You should be able to hear a "click" on the carb when you turn the key on and off. With the key on, have some one put the car in reverse and see if you can hear the solenoid click off. Jay, you're really close but not quite. The problem is the reverse-light circuit's shorting to the frame. Maybe one of the wires has the insulation rubbed off and it's touching the frame. When you put the car in reverse, the switch closes, the power from the coil goes to ground and the car dies. The root cause is Volkswagen is running WAY too many things off the side of the coil.
