How do you install after market radio on 1994 lhs with factory amplifier?
you put in the radio like normal then you have to go into the trunk and to the left behind the carpet there is an infinity amp you would use a phase tester and find all your speaker wires and bypass the amp from input harness to output harness thats the best way but you can also just hook up the blue amp turn on wires when your installing the radio although doing it this way the speakers might sound distorted at higher listening levels hope that helps you have a good day.

You cant. Timing is controlled my crankshaft position sensor and other sensors that monitor air flow and engine load. The PCM is ultimatley responsible for timing control by reading sensor input values.

How do you replace the water pump on a 1995 Ford Escort?
get a haynes repair manual great step by step instructions and pix. Also, to replace the water pump will involve removing the timing belt cover and you need to follow the instructions in the manuals to setting the timing belt on these cars.
AnswerIt is a do it yourself job.As a tip, you can remove the timing cover without unbolting the engine mount. Plastic is flexible. Reinserting it is kind of tricky so pay attention sa you remove the timing cover.
Also to note, removing that damper bolt is tricky. Have an assistant tap the starter (not literally) as you hold a long torque bar the bolt, and against the ground or boards stacked up from the ground. The bolt is held in place while the crank turns clockwise... the effect of which will be turning the bolt counter clockwise and loosening it.
I can't say this enough... but before you release the tensioner, (and that's another tricky story) insert the damper bolt back in with the damper and GENTLY turn the engine so that both cam and crank marks align with the marks on the oil pan and cam-cover... basically at top dead center.
As apart of reinstalling pushing the timingbelt tensioner back is tricky, but you'll need to use a small diameter, extended length socket, placing it against the BASE that holds the wheel. Never push against the tensioner wheel itself as you risk damaging it. Use a crow-bar to wedge against the socket and the block, forcing the socket against the base and the tensioner pull back.
AnswerIt would be easier to preset the timing belt tensioner in the release position before you install the new waterpump... but just incase you run into a situation where that wasn't forseen(because it certainly isn't in the Haynes manual)
that little trick is how you resolve it.
It is located behind the timing belt. what you need to do is remove the cover for the belt. mark the location of the belt with a white paint marker on the cam sheeve (cog, pulley, and crank sheeve to avoid later timing issues. remove the bolt that is for the timing belt spring tensioner and remove it. I found it necessary to pry the engine up just a little bit with a jack for clearance. remove old pump and reinstall new one. place belt on and loosely install spring tensioner. being sure belt lines and cogs are in correct position, use pry bar to put a good amount of tension on belt and tighten bolt. reinstall sheild. it is important to avoid belt damage and later timing issues. if you need any thing else let me know ~keith

What is the average expected mileage for a 2002 buick rendezvous?
SUV's have a shorter lifespan so a ballpark figure would be 125,000 to 180,00 miles because of the 4-wheel drive option. This means more wear-and-tear and 4WD's are costly to maintain. If it's used with alot of miles, my first question is not how long it will last, but how many miles has it been since the timing chain/belt has been replaced. You will have one or the other and the average lifespan is 75,000+ before it breaks. If the belt or chain does break then it will cost you a good chunk of change to have it replaced. Some cases are worse than others because of what's called an "interference head issue" in some engines. When the timing goes out of synch then major parts start running into each other and you could wind up replacing the valves, pistons, heads, or even worse... the whole engine. This is one of the moments that it pays to stay ahead of the game and fork out the money to fix something that ain't broke.

My 2003 Volvo wont start after a crash?
Ford may own Volvo but they have nothing to do with the design and building. There is no inertia switch on a Volvo. If it was a frontal collision you may have damage to the ECU's that are mounted at the right front of the car. As suggested below, see a dealer or qualified repair facility. Many Fords have an inertia switch that disables the fuel injection system in a crash. Since Ford owns Volvo, your car may have this also. In Fords they are mounted on the firewall under the dash. It's a small black box about 1" square with a red post sticking out of it. Push the red post in to reset it. If you can't find it, I suggest having the car towed to a dealer to reset it and also check for hidden damage to the car. Good luck.
What do you mean by "not all the way starting the car"? If you mean thsat it sputters or tries to start, but does not....welll lets go to basics....these three things must happen or your car will not start.....among others, less likely...
you must have...fuel, air, and spark.....compression is also very important, but assumed unless you had some "catastrophic occurrence"...
Timing is crucial, but again lets ask the question, did you have some kind of .....errr, catastrophe....leading to this issue....if so then you can bet complications abound, right....
I am not an ASE mechanic with 50 grand in tools, but for the most part, you don't need to be either.....mostly this is logical, reasonable deduction, and yes a few tools, in particular an electrical meter, would be handy.
firstly, some modern vehicles will require you to either prime or bleed the air out of your sysytem, after you replace a fuel pump, filter, etc....or run out of gas.....I am going to ask you, at the risk of YOU sounding stupid...you DO have gas, right???? (i can count at least a dozen times when i have "fixed" a car, that needed gas)....
O kay, assuming you have gas, and you have "burped the air out of or primed your fuel delivery system( there is a bicycle type valve on most fuel delivery rails on fuel injected vehicles that when depressed, will allow you to "burp" air out of the system....).
By the way....always, not sometimes, ALWAYS have a fire extinquisher handy, right there beside you when you are messin with high pressure, late model fuel injection, or any type of fuel delivery system.....it gets ugly quicker than you can imagine.
Next we go to spark.....easy test....pull a spark plug wire, ground it with any kind of metal shaft.....geez, do we really have to explain this???
Air, lets assume you do not have a mongoose sleeping in your airbox.....check your air passageway....did you go four wheelin in mud up to your armpit? Gee, your air filter may be clogged.....enough, already.....check it, fix it, for gods sake change it every millenium.
You mentioned all these new parts....why? what prompted you to just assume you needed all this new stuff? was your car crying because you had not spent any money on it in ten years.....there are easier ways to make her happy...
Most people will replace, lets say, the battery first when their car won't start, not thinking it may be a dead cell in the battery, a cable or lack of good ground....this is a good time to ask, do you have a good ground( and power, 12 V) to ALL of your systems, in particular your fuel and spark(distributor) systems? Did you inadvertantly loosen or disconnect something in all of this part replacing you did????This is a great time to introduce the multimeter, electrical tester into our diagnoses.....knowing how to use this simple tool can help you avoid replacing your transmission when your radio won't work....
Ok, that should be more than enough to get you on your way to a proper diagnoses......If not, just keep replacing parts, they will still tow it away when you are finished, and i can have all those new parts that i find at the junkyard on your car.....sorrry, it happens a lot....be smarter than than that!

To adjust the rear brakes you take off the wheel.
Take the 2 Phillips head screws out of the brake drum.
Insert two 13mm bolts into the brake drum and turn them clockwise.
Tighten the bolts down while tapping the drum on the side with a hammer.
After getting the drum off you release the pressure on the parking brake adjuster.
Adjust the brakes until the drums go on with a little bit of friction.
If the back drum brakes aren't adjusted tight enough the brake pedal wil go down too far.
