Where is the fuel reset switch on a 1996 Ford Explorer?

Check your owner's manual you should find it there. If you don't have one you might want to check the trunk by the brake light assembly.

AnswerIt is located on the passenger side in the corner where the kick panel meets the firewall. You may have to move the carpet back to get to it. Make sure you check the connection at the bottom of it. The clip is broke on mine and it keeps coming unplugged if someone stretches out.

All turn signals stoped working on a Ford Explorer 2000 Sport?

This just happened with my 2001... the turn signals on mine only work when the steering wheel is in the most upright position... It's either the multi-purpose switch that needs replacing, the connector or the wiring harness... I was told that because I adjusted my steering wheel each time I got in the truck that I caused the problem... nice, huh?

Answer

The wiring to the brake lights and turn signals are postioned badly right under the tilt steering mechanism...using the tilt steering will eventually cut the wire...i had the same problem in my '01 Sport...in my opinion, it should have been a recall but i researched and it wasn't listed...hope this helps

If the radio fuses have been changed on a 1997 Corolla and the radio still does not work, check to make sure the radio is not set to the CD or Tape player mode. It is also possible that the radio is not working because the speakers are not hooked up properly.

1997 Ford Explorer What is the number for the fuse that controls the four wheel drive?

There is not actually one fuse in the system. The 4X4 is actually controlled by a computer module called a GEM(Generic Electronic Module). The GEM feeds from 3 fuses at the interier fuse panel, fuse numbers 10, 20, and 28. If there was a blown fuse, however, I would expect you to have some other stuff not working, that is also controlled by the GEM, like the windshield wipers, door ajar light, or chime, power windows if it has them. Unless you have some other stuff not working, I doubt you have a blown fuse.

How can you fix your blend door in a 05 explorer?

Blend Door Problem

Your problem sounds like the common blend door problem on the Ford Expeditions, and Ford Explorer. The door is on a vertical axis and when it breaks, it can swing back and forth randomly giving heat or AC or nothing. The difference on acceleration is the force placed on the door swinging it one direction.

You can check the operation by fully opening the glove box, removing the actuator motor on top of the plenum box and examining the blend door axle (the actuator is under the unit on top of the hump behind the flexible black plastic cover. It is on top of the unit, behind the glove box in the 2002 F-350 though). Pictures of the common fail signature are available on the Related Links below. There are several "free" fixes that mostly are worth what you pay for them. The solution on the web site is solid and proven over hundreds of vehicles and will resolve the problem once and for all.
