Use a digital volt meter to determine the pin arrangement. On the new sensor, Two will be from the heater in the sensor. Set the meter to low OHMS and probe two wires at a time till you get 3.0-5.5 ohms(1.6l TFI engines) or 10.0-15.0 ohms in 1.6L MFI engines. That's the heating element circuit wires that will be connected to the voltage and ground from the ECM. The other wires are the sensor ground, and the sensor output.

This may help, my OEM O2 sensor pigtail is as follows-

blue=sensor ground

white=sensor output

blacks=+B (voltage from ECM) and Heater Ground, it should not matter which

With the key off, disconnect the O2 connnector from the harness near the firewall. Turn key to "on" position without starting car. Set volt meter to 10 or 20 volt DC range. ground black (-)neg. probe to engine and probe connector at the harnesss with the positive lead to find (+b) 12v from the ECM.

The sound you are hearing is a relay clicking on and off. If your turn signals work fine then its probably not that one. While you can hear the clicking remove the relays one by one until the sound stops and that will tell you which system is affected. In my case the low and intermittent setting for my wipers did not work and the switch was turned on without my noticing it so the wiper relay clicked constantly without the wipers going. I did not realize that it was the problem until I bumped the switch into the proper off position and the sound stopped.

beyond the obvious

Jump power directly to the starter solenoid. Be absolutely certain the vehicle is not in gear if you do this, though.

# Disconnect negative battery cable # Drain the cooling system if coolant is pretty new save it # compress the hose clamps with pliers and slide them away from radiator then detach the radiator hoses from fittings # Disconnect the reservoir hose from the radiator filler neck # Remove the bolts that attach the fan bracket and shroud assembly to the radiator and leanthe shroud toward the engine # If the car is equipped with an automatic transaxle diconnect the cooler lines from the radiator # Plug the lines and fittings # Remove the radiator mounting bolts # Carefully lift radiator out # Installing is reverse

your car may be leaking coolant into the engine, i.e your head gasket may be bad

191 K maybe it just wants to retire and hit the boneyard in the sky.

I just bought one and turns out it has the same problem. It could possibly be 3 things, 1. The cooling fan relay in the fuse box 2. The cooling fan switch located on back right side of engine block, right where the radiator hose is attached to the engine. 3. The fan motor itself. I just found out mine is the motor and i'd like to know is it replaceable by someone who is not a mechanic and doing it at home?

With the key in the off position, press and hold the mileage reset button. Continue to hold the button in, and turn the key into the accessory position. Hold button in until 'Maint Req'd' light goes out (about 5-10 seconds).

4 to 5 quarts.

If it turns over slowly like a dead battery it could be a bad starter
It if turns over normally, but hard starting, could be fuel injectors leaking

The MAF sensor is always located in the air duct between the air filter and the throttle body.

Belts need replacing or ajusting. They are slipping on the pulley.

Actually its the 'GVWR' or Gross Vehicle Weight Rating. Most U.S. cars have a placard (sticker) with this information. It is located typically either in the driver's side door or doorframe, owners manual, or also may be present on another sticker immediately under the hood near the radiator, although that sticker more typically contains information about the size of the motor, various fluid capacities, etc.

Get a test light and find out where the power is not coming through. Check the fuse, relay and resistor pack located on the evaporator case.

HI, The best thing to do is check the basic issues that could affect starting. You have already changed the plugs, wires and fuel filter. Have you cleaned the fuel injectors with a pint or two of commercial fuel injection cleaner? Dirty, clogged fuel injectors do not give a fine spray of fuel, preventing the engine from starting easily. When the engine is cold it will missfire and stumble. When it is warm it will run better with dirty injectors, but your fuel mileage will be poor. Also, consider a new air filter. Other, more expensive issues are replacements of fuel injectors, mass air flow sensor, and other sensors that measure and regulate the air/fuel mixture, etc. hope this helpsH

turn key on but do not start engine.then try to put shift to neutral.if this doesnt work you have a problem

if it does work ,you can then start engine and the lockout switch should reset

There are some screws on the door panel. One in the hand rail, one behind the door handle and one on the inside of the door next to the mirror. After removing the screws the door panel will remove with some force the door panel is clipped in. Make sure not to pull too hard, you have to unclip the wireing harness that controls the windows door locks etc. After you have removed the wireing harness,s and the door panel is completely off you can then remove the front speakers by taking the srcews out.

The 4 cylinder has a timing chain that will last the life of the engine.

The V6 has a timing belt that must be replace every 110,000 miles.
