How much does it cost to have a new clutch fitted to a 96 Mazda 323?
The labor time for replacing the clutch is 5.2 hours or about $100. The parts including the clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing are about $110. There may be additional costs if the flywheel needs to be resurfaced.
Where to put the water in the Mazda 323 engine?
In the radiator. 50/50 mix water & anti-freeze. (Note: anti-freeze is a strange name, because that stuff also helps keep your motor from overheating.)
Where can you find a fuse box diagram for a 1991 Mazda 323?
You can find the 1991 Mazda 323 fuse box diagram at your local Mazda dealership. You can also find the fuse box diagram on the inside cover of the fuse box.
How do you remove the front wheel of a Mazda 323 1987?
Jack the car up on the side the wheel is on, grab the L shaped spanner thing, undo the nuts (4 of them) take the wheel off.
Make sure to jam things against the ground wheels so the car doesn't roll.
If you have hub-caps, they should just pull off. Cheap ones may break. If the hub-caps have bolts on them, then you have to take the wheel off first. Otherwise you need to take the hub-caps off first.
Why does your steering wheel sound when you turn?
If this is for a 1989 Mazda 323 with high miles (kilometers) and the sound is a creaking or rubbing sound, chances are good your front struts are worn out and will need to be replaced. If it is more like a grinding sound, it may either be the steering rack or coupling knuckle (U-joint). I suspect the former, because this happened on my car. Replacing the struts, plus lubricating the spring perches with Silicone grease cured the problem. Cheers Malcolm
Where can you find a fuse box diagram for a 1993 Mazda 323?

Wipers and Heator Fan do not work on Mazda 323?
It could be the ignition switch. The ignition switch (for a 1986 323, at least) has two "On" terminals, one of which controls most things, and the second for the wiper motor, blower motor and AC, and the radiator fan. For some reason (wear, a bad spring, or something), the switch stops making reliable contact with the second terminal. Try wiggling the key and see if wipers come on.
Check Fuses? Check Fuses? Check Fuses? Check Fuses?
This could be one of several problems. First, I am assuming that you have already done a full tune-up and replaced the fuel filter. Second, you can check the fuel pressure at the fuel filter outlet, normal is 40 PSIG, max is about 80 PSIG. Third it could be faulty fuel injectors (either dirty/plugged or coils have high resistance); probably not likely as my 323 has over 200,000 miles on the original injectors. Lastly it could be your Oxygen sensor. That last item has happened to me twice; it feels like an ignition miss, but is actually the O2 sensor telling the computer to send less fuel, hence the ignition miss and stalling. If your car has over 125,000 miles (200,000 kms) you should change the O2 sensor; the part costs about $50.00. Good Luck Malcolm
Where is the windshield wiper relay on a 1993 Mazda 323?
Under the dashboard on the driver's side. If you lie on your back on the driver's side and look straight up just to the side of the fuse panel, you will see a row of wires running into the relays. Several relays are lined up on a stamped, sheet-metal bracket. The wiper relay is one of middle relays (mine was black).
knocking is probably a rocker but might be a rod, sounds like its time for a master rebuild kit First check if the motor pulley. Located at the lowest part of the engine, when the v-belt runs. check if this is not loose. For poor compression, check timing on the car an a possiblilty for new spark plugs
Where is the thermostat located on a 1990 Mazda 323?
== == It's located within the thermostat housing, to the right side of the engine... follow the large rubber tube coming from the radiator and it shall lead you to the housing, which is held in place by two bolts. Warning: if you take the housing off, to replace the thermostat, be gentle with the thermoswitch, and it is also very fiddly to have the thermostat centralised on the housing when you bolt it back on.
Could buy your new plugs to make sure your size is correct. Then you might have to go and get a deep socket of that size and the extension will just fit(but not click)into the top of the socket if you hold it right.Or grind down the fat socket!
it starts but the oil light stay on
White smoke is usually an indication of coolant in the combustion chamber. If you are loosing coolant, have the cooling system pressure tested. http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker?UseCase=S001&UserAction=viewSimpleDiagInfo&Parameters=info
You have a leak. Look around on the driveway and try to determine if you have an external leak as opposed to an internal leak. If you see no coolant on the ground, suspect a blown head gasket. Do not continue to drive this car in this condition. If it does indeed have a blown head gasket, serious engine damage will occur. The sound you hear is the engine overheating. This is a killer for modern aluminum engines. Have this repaired ASAP, and stop driving it until you do. Check your exhaust for white smoke. Chances are good you have a blown head gasket and coolant is leaking into the engine
How do you turn of the green light near the engine starter where you put your key?
This one has me scratching my head. My 1989 323 LX has a small ORANGE light that comes on which I open the door; the purpsoe is to provide some illumination the ignition lock so you see to put your key in. The light automatically turns off after 30 seconds or if you start the car. Does your key ligth stay on after you've started the car? Cheers Malcolm
