What will the church have to offer me?

Does it follow the teachings of Jesus Christ?

Is it called "The Church of Jesus Christ" or by some other name.

If you feel that you are satisfied with the church of your choice, then you have to asked for God's forgiveness for all of your sins and covenant with Him not to ever repeat them again.

You must covenant to serve Him with all of your might mind and strength by keeping the commandments, not only in action but by your very thoughts.

Seek the Holy Spirit to guide and direct your life.

Read and pray about the scriptures to have confirmed to you by the power of the Holy Ghost that they are true.

Get to know your saviour.

If after you feel that the Lord has forgiven you your sins, and you feel that you can commit your life to the service of your God, then you are ready for baptism.

Baptism is so that you can be a member of a church, it does not save you but is the first step to your salvation.

Baptism is an outward sign of what is in your heart. It can be a church ritual but it is more important for what it means to you, and between you and God. It can be used as a time of rededication in your life to God. Gal. 2:20 is a good scripture for this.
