Why was there an orchestra present in the book Night by Elie Wiesel?
The orchestra in the book Night by Elie Wiesel was comprised of fellow prisoners in Auschwitz playing music as the rest marched to their forced labor assignments. This was meant to create a false sense of normalcy and cover up the atrocities happening in the camp.
What is the theme in the story The Lightning Thief?
Perseus "Percy" Jackson is a fictional character in rick-riordan'sCamp Half-Blood book series, appearing as the title-role-2and narrator in the first series, percy-jackson-the-olympians, and a protanogist in the second series, the-heroes-of-olympus. At the start of the first series, Percy is introduced as a troubled twelve-year-old diagnosed with both attention-deficit-hyperactivity-disorderand dyslexia. After getting attacked at school, he is escorted to Camp Half-Blood, a secret camp built to train and protect Greek demigod. At camp, Percy learns that his father is poseidon, the god of the sea, and is thus a child mentioned in the Great Prophecy, a prophecythat was given by the oracleseventy years ago. Throughout the series, Percy embarks on several questto save his friends and the Olympian gods of mount-olympus.
Percy Jackson is a twelve year old boy diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia, who has been expelled from several schools. On a trip with his mother, his friend Grover, revealed to be a satyr, urgently tells Percy's mother that Percy must go to a certain camp. As they drive towards camp, they are attacked by a Minotaur which grabs Percy's mother. She dissolves into a golden shower of light, while Grover and Percy narrowly escape.................... (another way)
Percy wakes up and discovers that he has arrived in Camp Half-Blood, a secretive training ground for demigods. Thereafter, Percy is moved into the Hermes cabin under the care of Luke, the Cabin counselor. During a Capture the Flag game, Percy is attacked by the children of Ares. He heals when he steps into the adjoining river and is revealed as the son of Poseidon when Poseidon's trident appears above his head. Poseidon had broken an oath taken with Hades and Zeus after World War 2 of not having any more children since they were too powerful. Percy is then granted a quest to find Zeus's master bolt which Chiron believes Hades has stolen. However, Zeus, who discovered Poseidon had broken his oath, believes Poseidon had Percy steal the bolt. Percy, who has ten days before summer solstice to find the bolt, is given magic shoes by Luke before leaving. Percy, accompanied by Annabeth and Grover, decide to travel west to reach the entrance to the Underworld in Los Angeles. They encounter several Greek monsters, and also the war god, Ares, who tells Percy that his mother is alive. As they approach the pit of Tartarus, Luke's shoes try to pull Grover into it, but he manages to slip free his hooves. Percy confronts Hades who also believes Percy stole the Master Bolt as well as his Helm of Darkness. Percy realizes that Ares has tricked him when he discovers the bolt in his backpack. He flees from the Underworld, forced to leave his mother. Percy then fights and defeats Ares by hurting the god's heel. Ares gives Percy the Helm of Darkness which Percy returns to Hades. Percy reaches New York City to give the master bolt to Zeus at the top of Empire State Building where Olympus is now located. Zeus accepts the master bolt and thereafter Percy returns to camp, after learning that his mother is alive. He meets Luke, who reveals that he stole the bolt for Kronos. He calls out a poisonous scorpion which stings and nearly kills Percy. Chiron cures him and Percy leaves to attend another school found by his mother.
I think the theme of this story is friendship, courageousness, and treachery.

People comfort Mrs. Schachter by saying they do not believe her because her visions of fire and destruction on the train are too horrific for them to accept as reality. They try to deny her visions in order to maintain their own sense of hope and sanity in the face of the impending danger. Ultimately, this denial is a coping mechanism to avoid facing the harsh truth of their situation.

Was your abuser really that bad if you feel worse without him?
Abusers are bad. Period. It is common for someone who has been abused to feel lonely when the abuser becomes absent, but it is because of the stress of change. If you feel yourself running back to your abuser, get help. The situation will only escalate otherwise.
Who is responsible for insuring a teenager from a divorced home?
The teenager needs to be listed on the vehicle that he/she drives. They also need to be listed as a driver in the parents household where they live. The insurance company should not charge an extra premium for both households, only the one with the actual vehicle the teenager drives should charge a higher premium.
You may have a problem as some insurance companies do not want to insure a vehicle that is out of an owners care, custody or control. The best way is if the child is over 18 to put the vehicle in the tenagers name. If they are not 18 or older I would advise putting the vehicle in the name of the parent the teenager is living with.
Call your agent and he should be able to advise you.

You want to write your bad and happy moments you want to write about your pet parrot how do you?
Nobody can tell you what to write - you must write what is in your own heart and mind. Copying what someone else has written leads to dull, boring writing that is not going to help you learn how to write better. It is also known as plagiarism, and if you publish the writing you copy, you can be sued.

Dear Dr. More,
I am writing to request a letter of recommendation. I hope that you remember me. My name is Eliza Doolittle, and I was a student in four of your classes: HIST 314, Spring 1993; HIST 448, Fall 1994; HIST 432, Winter 1994; and HIST 449, Spring 1994.
My final class project for HIST 449, History of Medicine, was a 30 page paper entitled,
"Medical History: The Germ Theory Enlightens a Dark Medical Past." My paper received an A
from you, and it was published in the college journal, Prism, that year. At the time, you
suggested that I might consider a career in the writing or publishing fields.
Well, the time has come for me to follow your suggestions. I have applied for an editorial
position with the McGovern/Hill Publishing Company in Chicago. The company has asked me to
supply them with three letters of recommendation. I would appreciate it if you could write one
for me.
McGraw/Hill wishes to know the conditions under which you knew me, your understanding of my
aptitude for writing, my qualifications to edit the work of others, my leadership abilities,
and anything else you feel pertinent. I have enclosed a copy of my resume to help you write the
letter.
McGraw/Hill would like the letter by the end of the month as I have an interview scheduled for
the first week of February. If you would, please send it to the following person and address:

What are the advantages and disadvantages of interviews?
Hmmm, the advantages of an interview is that it seems to tell the interviewer a lot more about you than by filling in forms, because a form has set questions and you can't really say what you want on it. Another advantage is that you can really show the interviewer how you are really like, and the questions tend to be a bit more relaxed in some parts.
Now for the disadvantages. The disadvantage is that sometimes the interviewer might just ask a question that is only one-sided, making it only to have one answer to it. Also the interviewer sees you, so you have to make sure you dress will, smell good and look happy. And especially don't fidget because as said, the interviewer will see all this. So that is why it is important to be as proper as possible in an interview, one wrong move or a stutter on your words will lower your chances of getting the job you want.
Advantages of using an Interview
· If the respondent lacks reading skills to answer a questionnaire.
· Are useful for untangling complex topics.
· The Interviewer can probe deeper into a response given by an interviewee.
· Interviews produce a higher response rate.
Disadvantages of using an Interview
· The interviewer can affect the data if he/she is not consistent.
· It is very time consuming.
· It is not used for a large number of people.
· The Interviewer may be biased and ask closed questions.
This has happened to me and what i did was i always put in, scheduling conflicts. Like if you can only work X amount of hours or if they change your schedule without telling you. Just remember that by law, when calling a reference, the reference is not allowed to disclose how much you made or if you were terminated or not. Employers aren't to ask and if they do, the reference is not allowed to tell. Hope this helps.
