How do you flush a radiator on a 1996 Mitsubishi Galant?
Hey Kala== First drain the radiator and dispose of the coolant properly.Follow the radiator hose to the engine. There you will find the thermostat housing. Take the thermostat out and stick the housing back on temporarily. Take the upper rad hose off at the radiator. Stick the garden hose in the top of the radiator and start the engine and let it idle. Water will comeout the upper hose. Let it run until it runs perfiectly clear. Shut the engine off and drain the radiator and reinstall the thermostat withthe spring toward the engine and a new gasket. Fill the radiator with coolant and you should have about a 50/50 mix by the time the water left in the block gets mixed in. goodluckJoe
How to flush radiator in a 92 Camry?
You can best flush the radiator on your 1992 Camry by taking it to a shop that has the proper equipment to do a complete fluid exchange while the car is at operating temperture. You cannot do a complete flush if the car engine is cold, because the thermostat blocks passages in the engine block. Flushing the radiator alone by removing the lower hose, recovering and disposing of the old coolant, and refilling is only part of the system.

How can i stop radiator coolant leaks?
If the hoses are all tight, Then the radiator must be leaking.
REPLACE RADIATOR
Yes you can.
On this model you should have the coolant tank on the passenger side inside fender wall. The cap is there, and the hose runs into the rad. The easiest way to do the job. With engine cold, remove the lower rad. hose from the rad. Open the coolant refill cap, let it drain. A good flush would not hurt. Remove one of the heater hose's at the fire wall, does not matter which one, just try not to damage the hose or pipe. Insert a garden hose in the heater hose and let it flow, then insert it into the heater core metal line and let it flow. You will clean the heater core and the engine block and rad. this way. When this is done, put the heater hose back on, but do not tighten it just yet. You will need at least 2 gallons of coolant. There will still be some water in the engine so use pure, fill the rad. tank as much as possible with the engine off. This done, now start the engine and open the heater to full inside the car. The coolant will start to circulate so keep adding coolant into the rad. tank till it is full. Once the thermostat opens more coolant will be needed so keep it topped up. Once this is all done, engine at operating temp. slowly open the heater hose slightly to let the air out. Do this several times till both hoses become hot. Yes, coolant will come out also, that's ok. Just top up the rad. tank. Try not to breath in the fumes, the coolant will drop onto the exhaust and cause smoke. Job done, tighten hose clamps, check for leaks.

It could be water pump, leaky radiator, hoses, head gasket, or just about anywhere else that the coolant circulates. You'll need to get under and find out where it's leaking.
Can vinegar be used to flush a radiator?
I want to try it myself on an old truck, there is no reason it would not work, the only thing to watch for is large pieces of calcium scale breaking off and lodging into the radiator passages. my plan is to drain the system and add 1 small bottle of CLR then vinegar to fill it the rest of the way up, run the engine with the heater on max until the engine gets to full operating temp then shut it off --*and let the vehicle just sit overnight with the mixture in the block then in the morning(don't do this step, see note at bottom)*-- start the vehicle again and get the it back up to temp then shutdown, cooloff and undo the bottom radiator hose and drain out the garbage. Rinse out the rad with a garden hose then put the bottom cooling hose back on, fill the system with plain water, run the engine again then shutdown and disconnect the bottom hose again to let the rinse water out. Now reconnect the bottom hose and refill with a 50/50 mix of distilled water and antifreeze (or just buy the premix stuff). The system should be squeaky clean.
Note- I am planning on performing this on an OLDER vehicle that is off manufacturers warranty (rusty 1986 f-150), if your vehicle is still under warranty ask you dealership what the best plan of action is.
UPDATE!!!- After some internet searching I have found that the vinegar will work but you do not want to let it soak overnight. Just put the vinegar and CLR in the rad and go for a long drive. Don't leave the mixture in the engine for any longer than 2 hours but give it at least 1 hour for it to break down the crud.

Why is your 93 Skylark overheating and radiator fan stop running?
you have relay switches that act like a type of fuse, when the relay switch goes out, your fans will not kick on. you can replace it (about $100), or drive and continue to run the heater at all times to get the fans to come on and drop the temp on the car.
With a water cooled bike do I have to add water coolant and water to the radiator or just water?
You should add a 50/50 mix of anti-freeze and water.
How come there is coolant in reservior but not in radiator?
The cooling system needs to be closed tight in order to work properly. If the system is not taking coolant from the reservoir there must be an leak somewhere, possibly a bad radiator cap, leaky radiator, loose hose clamp, leaky water pump, etc. Have the system pressure tested to determine where the problem is.
You need to go to a car parts store, and get a repair manual for your car. They cost about $16.00 Or, go to a Public Library.
