How do you reset the maintenance required light on a 2010 Toyota Sienna?
It is easy... Just press and hold the odometer button on the dash and then turn the key to the on position and watch the dashes in the odometer display slowly disappear. Then release the button and you are good to go!
The above answer didn't work on my 2010 Toyota Sienna and neither did the instructions on page 442 of the owner's manual that came with my 2010 Toyota Sienna. This is what did work: Start car and bring up odometer display on left of wheel (not Trip A or Trip B). Turn car off. Hold down odometer button. Turn key to on position without starting car. Wait for maintenance light to blink and go out. Release odometer button and turn key to off position.
Dealer changed oil and always forgets to reset the "maintenance required" light.

How do you reset the maintenance light on a 2004 Toyota RAV4?
For my 2006 Rav4, it has changed just a bit. The technique is the same, however, you apply it to the Trip A odometer instead of the actual mileage odometer.
I ran into the same problem with our '04 Toyota Rav4. I came across this website on reset the light. It mentions that "it may result in damage to your car's engine." How, I don't know. I'm thinking about trying to reset it as shown on this website, not sure yet. See for yourself. Cut and paste this link into your browser. Let me know what you think. Please reply.

This answer really is no help at all - go back to another poster's question "How do you reset the "Maintenance Required light on a 2004 Rav4" and you get the directions that work - they worked for me! Just continue to keep the odometer button pushed in until the light resets.
Turn ignition to the on position, depress the odometer selection button until it reads the total mileage. Then turn ignition off, whilst in off position depress odo button again, whilst maintaining button depressed turn ignition to the on position, the mileage will then change to read ------, then count down to -, then 000000, then back to the driven mileage. The light should then be extinguished. Refer to handbook pages 114-117.
Go to your Toyota dealership to avoid problems later on. You never know if you try to do it yourself and you end up making the situation worse. Let them look it over and reset it for you if necessary. That way, if they mess up they have to fix it.
Work for the Toyota Corolla 2005 as well. I reset the Maintenance Required light on my car by following the same instructions on this website for the RAV4. Turn ignition on to see odometer reading, set odometer to actual mileage, turn ignition off, depress odometer button and hold it while turning ignition on again. It will reset to 00000 and then to actual mileage. Maintenance required light will go off.
The maintenance light is really just an, as my dad calls them, "idiot light". It's meant to go off every 5,000 miles, and is a prompt to get your oil changed. If you have the oil changed somewhere besides the dealer, they probably won't remember to reset the light. (And the dealer doesn't always remember either, but if THEY don't, I bring it back and make them reset it just because they should know better, dag nab it!) If you record the mileage when you reset it, you'll see that it starts flashing a couple of hundred miles before the 5,000 mile marker, and then stays lit once you've hit 5,000 miles. My understanding is that it is NOT tied to any system, the way the check engine light is.
This method also works for 2009 Toyota Corolla (I have the S type). The way I did what by selecting the Trip A or 1, not the ODO (or total number of miles). But after this procedure the light is gone. My understanding is that this light is only to remind the driver that the oil change is due. I think most of the drivers do not need these type of annoying reminders.
You have 60K on your car and it is running just fine but your check engine light came on.?
Most likely it is a dirty or malunctioning oxygen sensor located on the manifold.
Check engine light came on 1991 Toyota passeo?
There is a small black box under the hood located by the driver side strut tower. The black box (diagnostic box) is only about one inch by 2 inches. If you open the cover to the box you will see a few rows of electrical connectors and on the underside of the "diagnostic box" cover there should be a sticker with a letter and possibly a number that identifys all of those electrical connectors in the box. Take a paper clip and bend it into a "U" shape. Take the paper clip and connect the electrical connector "T1" to "E1" (look at the sticker under the cover). Its possible they may be labeled slightly different, like "Te" or "Te1" or "E". Get a pen and paper and sit in the driver seat of the car. Turn the ignition key to "run" (thats where the dash lights up and the buzzer for ignition and door being open are beeping. DO NOT START ENGINE at this time. You should see the "Service Engine Soon" light start flashing. If not flashing you need to go reconnect the paperclip again. the number of flashes indicates which code it is and what the fault is. For example if you see "flash, flash"....flash, flash, flash" That is code 23. All of the codes will be 2 digits. You should see the same code flash 3 times before the next code is displayed (there may be only one code or lots of them). Then you need to find out what the code means (what the problem is) by either searching online, buying a repair manual for your car and look up the code or call the auto parts store and ask them. You may want to try clearing the codes as described below and if the light doesn't come back on Yipee it's fixed. If you think you have fixed the fault (made the repair) you can reset (clear out the codes) in the computer by removing EFI 15 amp fuse from fuse panel in the engine compartment for 30 seconds. Use the paperclip and jumper the connectors mentioned above, the turn the key to run (NOT START)and if the computer is cleared of all codes the "Service engine soon" light will just do a "flash, flash, flash, flash, flash, flash" with no pause in between. If you get the "flash, flash....flash, flash, flash" then you need to remove EFI 15 amp fuse for a while longer to clear the codes from the computer. Turn off the key and remove the paper clip, Start up the engine and if the light stays out, you have fixed your problem. If the light comes back on you will need to do the paper clip trick again and see what the code is this time. It maybe the same old code(s) or a new code. Good Luck!!

Where is the pcv valve located on a 1998 Pontiac Sunfire 2.2L?
the 2.2 engine of 1998 and up don't have PVC
AnswerI recently replaced a valve cover gasket on a 98 sunfire, and was looking for the pcv valve. I could not find, even looking in a chilton manual. Eventually I called GM, and that is when I found out they are built in to the valve cover there is nothing to replace. The Elbow that comes out of the top of the valve cover hooks right into the air box. That is what I originally thought was the PVC.How to replace the rotors on a 1998 Ford Mustang?

How to change light bulb on air conditioning panel and speedometer?
It depends on what year your ML is.But if is has 3 separate knobs, (for the a/c control)and not "wheels" then the knobs just pull staight off,and the bulb is behind the knob. I think that just thecenter knob has a bulb behind it, but not sure?
Instrument cluster bulbs are a little tougher.you need to removed all the plasitc covers around the instrumentcluster, lower ones just pop off with a plastic wedge, then theblack cover that goes all the way around the i.c. has 2 tabs at thebottom. You need to pull the tabs outward and slide down to releasethe tabs.
then the i.c. has 2 8mm bolts on the bottom side and 2 phillipsscrews on the top side.

What is P0755 shift solenoid B malfunction IN A 1998 Toyota Camry with 77000 miles on it?
2003 rave4 solenoid malfunction
Your car should adjust to the proper gear it needs when travelling uphill. Usually you need to turn the overdrive off or shift to a lower drive gear when going downhill or towing. That will use the engine to slow the car instead of your brakes. That way they don't overheat to the point of not working.
