Raise the front of the car and look underneath the front facia (bumper). You'll see a plastic cover on the bottom of the car. Located at each side in front of the tires you'll find access doors. Remove the screws. Now you can reach up and behind your front turn signal lights to change the bulbs. You can also get to the mounting screws this way to remove the light housings

Why does your relay for your turn signals just buzz you have replaced it and the hazards just make it buzz to on a 1995 intrepid?

This reply is taken from the Chry repair archives. I had the same problem and tried this repair and it worked. "Most of the time this problemalways occurs right after the battery is replaced, even though there are no other signs of a loose battery cable. The combo flasher is extremely sensative to LOW VOLTAGE. in turn the combo flasher does not have enough energy to cycle and it will BUZZ. Check the battery cables and the auxillary smaller battery cable at the battery as well as the auxillary body ground." "The 1993 & 1994 LH's use a 4 wire flasher. The 1995-1997 LH's use a 5 wire flasher. Be sure you have the correct flasher and thoroughly load test the power and grounds to the flasher. The combo flasher will flash the lights faster than normal if it detects either high resistance or a burned out bulb, this is done by design to alert the customer. The flasher is actually a logic module that detects current flow. This is unlike all of the earlier hazzard and combo flashers of the 1980's where they were simply circuit breakers. When a bulb burnt out, the flasher would not cycle and only the one bulb would light up (not flash)."

Where is the Signal Hazard flasher location on a 1996 Thunderbird?

Should be either on or around close by the fuse box under the dash board. It is a larger round chrome fuse the width of about the size of a half dollar.

In a BA Ford Ute, the flasher unit is typically located in the fuse box, which is found underneath the dashboard on the driver's side. It's usually positioned near the steering column or near the driver's footwell. If you need to replace it, refer to the owner's manual for the specific fuse box layout and identification of the flasher relay.

When do you and do not use hazard lights?

Hazard lights should only ever be used when there is any major issue. Such as the car breaking down, it's simply there to warn oncoming traffic off your vehicle. Many believe it's useful for when you just can't be bothered parking but really.. They should hardly ever be used.

Where is the turn signal relay located on a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo?

I have a 2000 Cherokee sport, and i found mine under the dash on the drivers side. I had to take the panel under the steering wheel off (plastic and metal), then i turned the turn signal on and listen for the relay, pinpointed where it was and replaced it. I do have to say that I was a little frustrated with the location. There is all kinds of room under the dash and they had to tuck it way in the top corner where i could barely get my hands in to replace it. Ultimately I think there will be a time when most people won't be able to work on their own cars. It'll be a sad day!

It's located above the fuse panel, below and to the left of the steering wheel. You'll need to remove the upper and lower dash trim around the steering wheel. In your service manual there should be a fuse and relay diagram, the one you're looking for is the "Flasher" unit. On my 99 Laredo it is at the very top of the unit (in a hard to reach space) third from the left. The relay is about twice the size of the other relays. Try jiggling it around before replacing, in my case it wasnt quite seated properly.

How do you fix a turn signal that stays lit but doesn't blink when lights are on?

Just replace the bulb. They stop blinking when the bulb goes bad.

Usually if a bulb goes bad it will blink rapidly. If it stops blinking entirely or blinks only sometimes your flashing relay may have went out. It's a small box under the steering column usually.

How do you replace HHR front signal light bulb?

Here is what the owner's manual says for our 2008 Chevy HHR says about replacing headlamps. It is a copy-and-paste job from a pdf file.

To replace the headlamp, turn signal, or parking

lamp bulb:

1. Turn the wheel to access the wheel well.

2. Remove the fasteners to access the headlamp and

the turn signal/parking lamp bulbs.

3. Reach in behind the wheel well liner and locate the

bulb to be changed.

4. Turn the bulb socket counterclockwise to remove.

5. Pull the old bulb out of the socket.

6. Install a new bulb.

7. Reverse Steps 1 through 4 to reinstall.

The manual had a diagram that would not copy. It showed three locations where the fasteners are located on the edge of the wheel well in front of the wheel itself. I top fastener was a small hex-head screw. The bottom two were round capped plastic plugs. They did not come out by me pulling on them and prying with a screw driver. I didn't want to mess anything up, so I went online for help.
