Replace the bleeder valve. On vehicles equipped with a bleeder valve it is imperative you use the bleeder to remove trapped air. No other procedure will remove all the trapped air. On cars without a bleeder, you simply remove the radiator cap and start the engine. Watch until all air bubbles have escaped. This will not be sufficient on your car. Failure to remove all trapped air, will lead to a hot spot and possible engine damage.

If you use plain water, below 32 degrees the coolant and engine block will freeze. Anti freeze also allow coolant to reach a higher temperature, ( plain water boils at 212 degrees F ) before boiling.

In a 1988-1994 Chevy/GMC truck, replacing the heater core involves disconnecting the coolant hoses at the lower passenger side of the firewall from the engine compartment. Then remove the bottom cover off of the vent system on the passenger side (this will be directly above and slightly to the left of the passengers feet if they were sitting in the truck). There are at least 4 screws (possibly more) that secure this cover; be sure and remove all of these screws before trying to take it off. With the cover off, you will see the heater core directly above the cover. There is one retaining clip that is screwed into the ducting towards the top of the heater core. Putting everything back together is as simple as reversing these steps. Be sure to top off your coolant after you're done (while running, you'll need to clear the air out of the coolant system).

Under the drivers side dash you will find a wire bundle already installed. Untape it. It includes- Red, Blue, White, Orange, lite blue w/white chaser.

Small orange should be connected to red from controller Then under the hood, pull fuse cover.

Between it and drivers fender is another red wire w/ ring connector

bundled.

Untape it and connect it to + Battery connection.

There is another red wire between fuse block and engine

don't confuse this wire. This isn't used for brake controllers. After that wire up your round 7 connector if not already supplied.

First check the fuses then check your blower fan then check the blend door and blend door actuator and then the control panel

DO UNE hook the negative side first and hook it up last when going back with the new one. don't touch the positive side with the negative side. hooked up

Under the vehicle on one side of the transmission, normally the driver's side, you will find 2 separate plugs. One on the lower side to drain the transmission. Another one on the upper side to fill it. Remove the upper plug, and if fluid runs out it is full. Also if you stick your finger in the hole and touch fluid, it is full. Add lube until it runs out the fill hole.

A whole lot. K10 is a half ton, and all the running gear is small and lite.

The K20 is a 3/4 ton and everything about it is heavy and tough.

My Stratus is having the exact same issue, so I was wondering if you had figured out what causes the mysterious leak by any chance? Any hints would be very appreciated!

You can get excessive pressure by running straight water in the system. Antifreeze also provides boil-over protection. Run a 50:50 mix. Don't mix red (GM) with green...it causes sediment to clog the radiator.

To remove the blower motor you will have to remove the glove box first since the blower motor is located behind it. Once the glove box is out of the way you can remove the bolts holding the blower in place. You need to remove the cooling hose that is connected to it as well as the wiring harness, and may need to remove the side panel and kick plate. Once the bolts are removed you can pull the motor out towards the glove box. Reverse the procedure to install the new motor.

The best way to identify your motor is to use the casting numbers on the drivers side rear of the block, behind the cylender head. The cylender head casting numbers may help too, they are located under the valve cover.

The timing for a 2.8 V6 is typically 100 BTDC.

The deep notch on the timing gauge is 0* or TDC. Each peak on the gauge is 4* thereafter. There are three slots or grooves on the harmonic balancer. One for each pair of cylinders. One of these timing marks are wider than the other two. That is the timing mark for cylinders 1 and 4.
