What causes a 1993 buick lesabre not to start after replacing the starter?

My suggestion is to make sure that you have a good connection between your starter and your battery. Is the starter even functioning? If not, it is probably a bad starter, a bad battery, a bad fusible link for the starter, a blown fuse, or just a bad connection. Vauxhall zafira alarm keeps going off how can i disconnect alarm?

It won't fix the cause, but to shut the thing up, turn to page 184 in the operators manual.. find the fuse map.. there should be 5 rows of 9 fuses... all colour coded.. top left, nearest the big fuses (which I have ignored) is fuse 6, to fuse 14 at the other end of the row.. 15 is under 6, going to 23, and so on. Pull out #13 <5amp>(top row second in from right) Pull #15 <5amp>(second row, furthest left Pull out #21.. <5amp>immediately under where #13 was Pull #32 third row, furthest right (20amp) This will neutralise the alarm, but keep the central locking.. DON'T leave the fuses in the car.. take them inside, and contact the garage at a more socialble hour.. this wil allow you to drive the car, saving a small fortune in pick up fees.

How do you operate a 1991 Cadillac Sedan Deville 4.9 liter factory alarm system without the remote?

To enter a locked 1991 cadillac without a remote, simply use the key to unlock either front door lock. If all is working properly, the system will disarm. Arm /Disarm switches are integral with the front door lock cylinder and interior door lock switches. The system will automatically arm when using the inside electric door lock switch to lock all the doors.

Why would the car roof light not work after you had an alarm installed?

Answer

Sure it could be, but not necessarily. Maybe the bulb burned out. Maybe the fuse blew? If your incapable of checking these out, take it back to the alarm installer and nicely explain what happened and they will probably take care of it even if they didn't cause it. Certainly don't accuse them since it may not be related.

Answer

WHENEVER INSTALLING ALARM SYSTEMS ONE OF THE FIRST STEPS THAT THE INSTALLER SHOULD TAKE IS TO DISABLE THE DOME LIGHT DURING THE INSTALLATION. IT CAN TAKE SEVERAL HOURS TO COMPLETE THE INSTALLATION AND YOU HAVE THE CAR DOOR OPENED TRIGGERING THE DOME LIGHT TO TURN ON. THE LIGHT CAN DRAIN YOUR BATTERY. THIS CAN EITHER BE DONE BY REMOVING THE FUSE FROM THE FUSE PANEL OR BY REMOVING THE BULB FROM THE DOME LIGHT SOCKET. THE ALARM IS USUALLY SPLICED INTO THE DOME LIGHT SINCE ANYTIME A DOOR IS OPENED THE DOME LIGHT IS TRIGGERED TO COME ON. THIS MAKES IT EASY TO ALERT THE SYSTEM THAT THE VEHICLE DOOR IS OPENED. DANO

When the alarm is installed, they splice into the dome light wiring as the last person said. This way when the door is opened and the dome light comes on the electric current acts as a trigger to set off the alarm. However when the doors are opened, they close a circuit on the negative side of the dome light. There is 12 volt power running to the light at all times. So the alarm has to be wired in on the negative side of the dome light as well. When they do this, only one wire running from the neg side is needed. It is possible that the installer cut the wire and wired the alarm in series and not parallel. What this means is that the alarm has been included in the electrical path for the dome light instead of just using the current.

How do you program a astrostart model 2100 remote starter key fob?

Reprogram AstroStart 2106u.

Open hood. Place key in the ignition and turn to the RUN position. Apply the brakes once. You now have 10 seconds to turn the key from the RUN to the OFF position 3 times. If this sequence is correctly carried out, the control module flashes parking lights (4 flashes). You may then proceed to the next step. Press the "KEY" button on the new remote control. When access code of new remote control is memorized, the control module will confirm with flashing parking lights (1 flash). Repeat the above procedures for each remote control that has to be programmed (up to 4 remotes). Apply the brakes. Done!
