Look in your owner's manual. There will be a page showing all of the dashboard icons and their description.

Compare that picture to what you see when you turn on your ignition key (before starting the engine.) All warning icons on your dash should light up simply to show the operator all light bulbs are ok. Once you start the engine the lights go out if there are no problems.

The codes on a 1994 Sundance are 2 digit codes. Code 3 is not correct.

1 - Check for vacuum leaks in the miles of emission tubing. 2 - I cleaned the dirty wire sensors inside the MAF sensor with carb cleaner, then let them dry for 2 hours (so that the wires, when heating up, would not burn out). I sprayed them heavily. After I reset the codes, I never received the bank 1 and bank 2 lean codes again. This was over a year ago. Good luck. Nobody could help me, not even the dealer, who just wanted to charge me 400 $ for a new MAF (and a private shop that estimated $600 +). If it is your MAF, you can buy a used one on Ebay for about $50 (make certain that it is guaranteed). I hope that your car has a MAF, and that this is the problem. It could be a million other things, like an O2 sensor, but I doubt it, since that would have thrown out its own failure code.

a picture of the engine in red will show up on the right side of dash about half way up mine has been on for a month on and off and have checked everything except for the guy who assembled it please help

You may have to get it checked however, it could just be a short or loose wire.

on the 305 EFI its located direct center underneath the intake plenum. have fun. its a nightmare.
