I Have a 1997 Eclipse GS. There are two small speakers on the front dash near the windsheild. These speakers are 4 inches. The ones in the door are 5 1/4 because I actually took it apart and measured the speakers. The ones in the back or side panel are 6 1/2.

Try adjusting the clutch. Never downshift to slow down, press the clutch and use the brake to slow down it will save your engine and clutch. Downshift to pass or to rapidly speed up but be sure to have the revs up higher than when you were in the higher gear.

An Automotive Water Pump That Is Bad Will Leak Out The Shaft Where The Pulley Goes. Or The Shaft Will Break Off. Otherwise You Have A Different Problem. Your car will overheat or not even start. You will smell antifreeze and or notice you have to put in alot of fluids. You will see leakage under the pump or around inside of engine compartment. Buy a new one that has a lifetime guarantee and you will rest easier.

You should be able to pull your e-brake up ONE click on these cars. This should turn off day-time running lights without actually setting the e-brake at all.

The starter has 2 post on it. A big one and a little one. The only thing that goes on the big post is the +hot+ battery cable and the kind of big wire leading to the Alternator. All of the other little ones go on the little post. Cavaliers had a recall on this area, a relay was added to stop the ignition switch from melting and possibly catching fire while you sleep. One rule of thumb...If the wire dont reach, it dont go there.

It will growl steadily louder as you travel down the road.

The fusible links on my '89 Z24 are located at the starter solenoid where the end of the positive battery cable attaches to the large terminal. There may be a fusible link near the positive battery cable in the 10 gauge wire (not the heavy gauge one). Good luck.

Check for a broken wire in one of the cluster of plugs on top of the left wheelwell.

Have you checked the plug-in connection fo the crankshaft position sensor located behind the A/C Pwr. steering bracket? A new sensor costs about $150. A fault code would show up if it was bad.

There probably are many causes, but the one which I have observed several times, and therefore seems most common, is abnormal tortional stress caused by misalignment of the starter to the flywheel. It is very important that the axis [centerline] of the starter shaft be precisely perpendicular to the face of the flywheel. If the starter is misaligned, the uneven loading of the teeth of the starter gear,and the gear teeth on the flywheel will cause abnormal wear on the flywheel and starter drive gear teeth, and excessive excentric loading on the starter bearings and commutater. The TBF [time before failure] depends on the seriousness of the abnormal loading and wear, and in severe cases, failure of the starter can occur within hours of use.

Heads off a 454 engine will not fit a 305 engine A 454 is a big block and a 305 is a small block. Even if they did fit it would probably run poorly due to low compression because the combustion chambers on the the 454 heads are larger than the ones on the 305 heads

The high idle of your engine is probably the cause of the "Buzzing" you hear from the passenger side of the car. (Dash rattling against windshield or some other plastic) You can either try to adjust the idle yourself if you know how, or have a friend or mechanic do it for you.

Your neighbours cat was running across the road as the cat was being chased by a sworm of barking bee's. The cat was only on a one track mind and that was RUN, when the cat crossed the road as you were nearing your driveway. The cat has been stuck in your air filter housing after being flipped up into the motor by the tires, then it was bounced around like a pin ball machine by your Fan. As the Barking bees had caught up to the cat by then, they were also in the hood area. after being bounced all around, like a five dollar prize , the cat gained momentum again and pulled off the airfilter housing hose and crawled into it, thinking it would escape the barking bees. since the cat it now stuck in there and feeding on the bees that got in there before the cat did and ar enow just crunchies, the other Barking bees are taking turns peeing on the cats ass as it is stuck in there. So, The "BUZZING" you hear is the barking bees making fun of the cat that is stuck in the air filter housing, and the "rattling against the windshield" you hear is the dam cat KNOCKING ON THE WINDOW saying, YOU big meanie...let me out, and take me home

its located right in the fuse box on the driverside dasboard. its the only black box type fuse in the panel Just know that when you remove this, you will have only one headlight working and an annoying DRL light on your gauge cluster. Unless you know the jump sequence...

The front speakers (door)are 6-1/2" round and the rear shelf speakers are 6"x8" rectangular. Pioneer make "exact match" speakers for this car, nice speakers and very reasonably priced. Rob. robj1@msn.com

If you are talking about the stock Tachometer, the connectors are in the Large white connector block at the top rear of the instrument panel. If you are installing an after market tachometer, you should be able to tie into the same wiring harness.

Note: The dash is a Brick wall to get through. Don't try to Houdini your fingers up behind the dash. They may disappear forever, or you may have to call 911 to get unstuck. There ain't no way to get back there. Save yourself time and frustration. Take it apart.

Although the "350" model name indicates a 3.5L engine, only the E350 is a 3.5L. The S350 is a 3.7L V6. Why would the larger engine have 27 fewer horsepower than the smaller? The 3.7L is tuned for refinement and more low end torque -- a better match for the S-class.

yes it will its an exact match trust me i molded the instrument panels and clusters for them for 5 yrs they were made in upper sandusky, Ohio and they are for the cavalier or sunfire

The #1 problem with these vehicles is a weak fuel pump; yours may be starting to fail. Have it tested.

First take the plastic cover off by popping the plastic button out(make sure that you pop just the very top part of the button with a flat-head screwdriver, then pull the button out) then take the bolts off that connect the headlights. Then pull the headlight out to the side as far as it will go, then use a wrench, not sure what size, to remove the metal bolts on the plastic screws. Then remove the side marker light and twist the plastic part out and pull out the bad bulb, put the new one in and just go backwards from how you took it out to put the marker back in.

A SERVICE light usually means that something besides what would cause a code is wrong with your car. It could be something as simple as having a headlight out (which would also cause your DRL light on your dash to blink when you take the car out of park, you need an oil change, or a loose/improperly fitting gas cap. Check these simple things first before you spend tons of money at a shop. They would love to take your money and pretend to try to pull a code off your car knowing full well that this isn't the problem and they aren't going to find anything.

Also, when you've made sure that your gas cap is tight and all of your lights work properly, if the light doesn't go off right away, unhook the battery to reset the computer. If the light stays off great, if it doesn't then you may have to take it in to have it looked at.

There are only three mounting points. Next to the coolant fill bottle,underneeth the engine by the timing chain housing, and on the drivers side of the transmission by the left front wheel.

I was found guilty of 'failure to signal a turn" in NY many years ago for not signaling 100 ft before making a turn.

The most common cause of rough idling would be a bad or clogged fuel injector. Also look for the hose on your EGR valve. They tend to come off in hot weather. If the hose comes off the engine will definitely run rough. I had to put a small hose clamp on mine to keep it from comming off.
