possibly a blown oil ring, pull cy and check rings. ANSWER: Rather then pulling the cylinder, you can do a compression test on both cylinders and compare them to what the factory says they should be at. If you have low compression in one cylinder and oil coming out of the exhaust, most likely then you have a bad oil control ring on the piston.

Located behind the intake manifold on the drivers side. Very hard spot to get to.

This is a serious issue and should be looked at by an experienced mechanic immediately. There are a number of things that could be wrong. Especially if someone worked on it that did not do the work correctly.

Pcv valve is on the bottom sides of the intake plenum. Look under it by both strut tower locations and you should see two lower hoses that run right thru it. It screws right under the plenum...

Hello I hope I can help, I've been try to find My Tempeture sensor and I came across the PCV valve It's located on the top of the engine on the passenger side. If you change your spark plug wires you go right by it when you send the rear wires to the back. It located in the back side of the engine on the passenger side. You'll need a light. It's there OK! be positive.

On six cylinder 5.8 liter, at back of engine in rear of intake manifold, very hard to see.

Under the hood on the left-hand (drivers side) valve cover. It's mounted in a rubber grommet towards the rear.The crankcase vent hose is plugged into it.

It is stuck in a rubber hose and pushed into the top rear drivers side valve cover.

On a 1993 Buick Regal 3.1L, the PCV valve is located on the intake manifold. It is situated underneath the MAP sensor.

The pcv valve is located behind the clip that holds the by-pass radiator hose below the intake manifold. This valve is in one of the poorest places they could have put it, very difficult to get to to change a $4.16 part. Once you find your pcv valve, good luck getting it out!

This could be caused by a clogged PCV valve, worn internal seals, or worn valve guides. A clogged PCV valve will pressurize the engine internally, which force oil past important seals into the exhaust stream. Likewise with worn seals, oil simply leaks out. Worn valve guides makes it possible for oil to seep down the exhaust valve into the exhaust stream.

It is located on the driver rocker cover rear. It is a fixed orifice type (0.125inch) and does not seem to be removable.

It's in a hose that goes in the top back side of the drivers side valve cover.

High crankcase pressure usually would be caused by clogged oil journals in the engine. There are passages through out the engine allowing gasses to escape from it.

Older Ford Trucks actually had a vent tube that stuck out of the bottom of the engine to release this pressure. Burned valves and bad lifters and/or push rods can cause this also.

Generally a tear down would be necessary to pin point the problem.

If the vacuum hose connected to the PCV valve was disconnected, it would idle poorly if at all, otherwise, no.

it is in the back of vavle cover on firewall side. you can't see it unless you remove the intake plenum.

Have the codes read.

exhaust valve lead is where the exhaust has a continuous outward pressure to allow the carrott chassis to congregate a new rivet on the downward cylinder.

As to the question, I understand "lead" to refer to the start of the valve opening before top dead centre but I stand to be corrected by someone more knowledgeable on car engine design.

Remove the plastic cover that is mounted over top of engine. [4 screws] The PCV is on the left side rear, mounted horizontally [when you are facing engine] Very easy to remove.

I have a 2001 Deville. The PCV Value is under the cover ( this is the one with the cadillac emblem on it ) that is across the top of the engine. It is located at the back left of the engine. You must remove the two plastic nuts that are at the front of the panel...left and right center front. Then up and forward. There is a small black metal piece at the center back of the silver panel top ( this is the one with the cadillac emblem on it ) that hold it at the back center. Hope this is helpful. You know that shaft that the pistons are connected to in the engine? Yeah, that's a crankcase.

According to a Nissan forum , it is located behind the alternator, above the oil filter.

It's also important to check the PCV filter, which is a rectangular piece of mesh located inside the air filter housing. I can get plugged, reducing the airflow to the PCV valve, or (easily) go missing when changing the air filter.
