Check the Belt Tensioner All engines use an automatic drive belt tensioner. On the 7.5L engine, there are two belts; one uses the automatic tensioner, while the alternator belt requires periodic tensioning. On all belts using an automatic tensioner, no adjustment is necessary because the tensioner adjusts for belt wear. To adjust the tension on the 7,5L engine alternator belt, loosen the adjusting bolts and rotate the alternator until the proper tension is on the drive belt and tighten the adjusting bolts. It is recommended that the belt tension indicator mark be inspected with the engine OFF at 60,000 mile (96,000 km) intervals. If the wear indicator mark is out of specification, the drive belt is worn or an incorrect drive belt has been installed. The 4.6L, 5.4L, 6.8L, all have one belt and one belt tensioner. Look at the diagram on top of the radiator or somewhere in the engine compartment. Also, Check your alternator

May be the oil sending unit in the oil pan. 97? it could be external. Yes, it is the oil pressure sending unit. Easy and inexpensive part to get fixed.

I had the same problem on my '97 Stratus with the 2.5l V-6. I replaced the oil pressure switch ($16 from NAPA), cleaned up the connector to the switch and the problem was solved. The switch is located just above the oil filter and you'll have to remove the filter to get to it. On a 4 cylinder it is on the rear of the block, to the left of center.

if you mean WHERE are the 2007 jetta warning lights.. they are on the dash board... near the air conditioning vent. just push the red triangle button.

Replace the cruise control deactivater switch which simply screws into the top of the master brake cylinder. Costs less than $20 and everything will run properly again! there is no deactivater switch on the master brake cylinder on a 2003 ford f-250

hello, their are 3 fuse bosxes as of my knowledge 2 under the hood in the upper r&l corrner and one under rear left seat. its behind the floor lite very tricky and clever

It could be a problem that is showing up intermittently. Most of those types of problems are stored in the computer, so you could probably borrow, rent or buy an OBD2 code scanner that would tell you what's going on. Check with your local auto parts retailer. They can often give you a little assistance on those types of issues, especially if you could go in during an off-peak time. Good luck.

The number one reason the "Check Guages" light comes on is for you to check the guages. It is almost always because your temperature guage is reading really high and when you start off,the temp goes down and the light goes out. Another is the oil pressure guage. If it goes low while ideling such as at a stop light, the "Check Guages" light comes on and goes out when you start off again and the oil pressure goes up.

Automatically comes on as a reminder to 'service' the engine (i.e.- oil change/filter/etc)

I have a 76' Malibu and almost the whole time I have had it the gen light is on except when I just put a new alternator in it. Then the light would go out for a while, but always came back on after a while. What I found out was there is a Diode that goes bad in the alternator and causes the light to come on. Soon you have to get a new alternator.

Sounds like your ground source is weak, the gauges don't work with the lights on because the illumination circuit is using all or most of the ground, I ran into the same problem on the identical vehicle. Restore a proper ground to the cluster and it may cure it. (I put a separate ground lead from the dash to the ground circuit on the back of the cluster).

overdrive is turned off. This is usually controlled by a button on the shifter knob. Press it to turn of the overdrive, push it again to turn it back on.

It could be that the oil pressure switch has failed and caused the oil lamp to come on,this is common and easy to fix.Initially though,check the oil level,and if low, top it up to max. You don't state what car or engine but the lamp means low oil pressure and a big bill if you continue to drive without investigation. Some cars when servicing is poor,will by-pass a blocking oil filter and trigger a warning,you may just need an oil and filter change?

Get to a shop quick.

It has to be about 2 qts. low for the light to come on.

The ABS and Brake lights stay on when the Abs computer has detected a malfunction and set a trouble code. You need to have the system checked for codes.

You should be able to check the codes yourself. Get in the Durango, shut the doors and put key into the ignition. Turn the key as if you are starting the truck but stop at the accessories or power on position. ( the position right before it turns over) you need to do this quickly 3 times back and forth and end in the power on position. Your computer on the dash will flash all codes that it has detected. Then go to

OBD-codes.com and look them up.

Tire pressure warning light.

bad interior light dimmer switch or a poor ground. burnt out lights.

It is an alarm light.

turn ignition switch on but dont start. disconnect the negetive battery terminal then reconnect it

The fuse box is under the kick panel on the passenger's side, by where your right foot would be. Once the kick panel is removed, you must remove the fuse box cover, by lifting the tab at the bottom of the rectangular box. Once removed, you can use the diagram on the cover to locate the desired fuse (also shown in the owner's manual) and replace it.

The 2007 F150 owners manual states the fuse panel is under the right - hand side

of the instrument panel. Remove the trim panel and fuse box cover to access the

fuses.

It is the check transaxle light...your trasmission has issues and is probably going to lock into second gear for safety if its serious.

Generally, that means that the ABS computer has detected a fault somewhere in the system. Quite often it's a wheel sensor, but it can also be the module. To accurately determine what's going on you'll have to connect the ABS to a code reader. Note that this probably isn't the same code reader that you would use for your engine. You may need to go to a brake shop or the dealer to scan the ABS module. Unfortunately, many shops are staffed by people who have no business working on cars. Their solution often is to just replace parts until it starts working, then to charge you for all of the parts that they replaced and give you a long bill, claiming that they were all bad. I don't trust most shops, but don't get me started on that one. most of the time when the light goes on , is a problem with the modulator. go to a servise station and have them use a scan tool and you would just go from there.

there is a speed sensor on the side of the trans, where the cable used to be. unplug the wires and replace the speed sensor. pretty simple to do.
