How do you remove the dash on a 1996 caprice?

To remove the dash locate the 7mm hex screws that hold the lower edge of the dash to the car. Remove all visible screws. Pull out the ashtray and remove four more 7mm Hex screws and then unplug the little light assembly. Remove the ashtray drawer. Put the parking brake on, turn the key to on, and move the shift lever down to L1. Remove the two 7mm hex screws that hold the black instrument cover on, these are located at the top of the instrument cluster. After this has been removed, see another hex screw on the left wall inside the instrument cluster. Remove it as well. The rest of the dash snaps out but you must pull straight towards yourself and do not rock or twist the dash panel . It will snap out. It is very easy to break the little plastic nibs that hold the dash panel on.

Where is a camshaft position sensor located on a 2002 SL 1?

Where is a camshaft position sensor located on a 2002 Cadillac deville?

Not sure why the question was answered by a question for a different car but:

1. The camshaft position sensor for a Saturn S-series does not exist. The PCM may throw a trouble code for improper camshaft timing, or a faulty camshaft sensor when the electronic ignition module has malfunctioned. Saturn uses a dummy camshaft pulse generated by the ignition module to fool the PCM into thinking it has a cam sensor. The camshaft sensor circuit fails most often, resulting in poor performance, and trouble code indicators.

2. The camshaft position sensor for a 2002 cadillac deville is located on the driver side of the front bank cylinder head. If this were a cadilliac question form, i would have included a picture.

How do you replace the water pump on a 1997 Ford Taurus 3.0L V6?

See "Related Questions" below for more about Taurus/Sable waterpumps
There are two models of the 3.0 they put in the 97 Taurus. A 3.0 OHV Vulcan and a 3.0 DOHC Duratec. In order to even gain access to the water pump you must first remove the accessories above it. IE alternator. It is an involved job. Plan at least 4 hours if you are new to mechanics. Then continue onto....

First loosen the 4 bolts on the pulley on the water pump, then remove the belt, tensioner and idler pulley. You will be able to get to all the bolts (some larger 10mm and some smaller 8mm) Install reverse of removal, not to hard to do just remember to drain the coolant. Not as easy to get to though.

How do you install a heater core in a 2000 dodge durango?

This is alot of work. The entire dash assembly must be removed from the vehicle. Need to disconnect battery first, drain coolant, discharge A/C (should be recovered). Once dash is removed you need to take out the heater core and evaporator box out of the vehicle. Remove the top of box to gain access to the heater core.

My tilt wheel is stuck 2002 durango?

I have the same problem. If you take off the shroud that covers the column(3 screws) & the panel just under the steering wheel(3 screws & 3 snap connectors) you can clearly see the cable that when you move the tilt wheel lever it moves. My cable was broken at the end that connects to the tooth mechanism. Good luck finding the part. I suggest junk yard. I was able to release the gears & set the wheel in the straight possition. If that don't please the wife I will be heading to the junk yard. One other note. To remove the tilt wheel lever: Grab the lever & pull toward rear of vehicle at the same time pushing slightly inward. Good luck.

What does the instrumental pannel that looks like a horseshoe with an exclamation point inside it mean on a 2007 dodge durango?

That is probably an indicator that you have low air pressure in one of your tires. Put some air in your tires one at a time and see if it goes off. Check your manual for exact tire pressure, but from my understanding truck tires are usually 30-40 psi.

What will cause 99 durango engine stop running while driving?

It's probably a bad Powertrain Control Module (Main Computer). This is a note from one of my previous posts;

Have you noticed the odometer display saying NO BU5? This actually means "no Bus", a communication term for a data route. It is saying that the dashboard sub-computer is not communicating with the main computer (PCM) which is located on the passenger side of the engine compartment, bolted just above the wheel well area. Check the 3 connectors to see if they are plugged in all the way. If they are, your PCM is probably bad (mine lasted 90k miles). This is something you can't replace yourself because the new one must be programmed with the mileage and VIN and other info by MOPAR before it's installed. Be careful, because when the PCM fails, your money pit (Durango) will start to suddenly stall at the worst times (Freeway, Boat launch, stop light on a one lane road) and not restart until you disconnect the battery for 10 minutes and then reconnect.

Good luck! The dealer charged me $800 to replace mine. $500 for the part and $300 to diagnose the problem. And I told them it was a bad PCM when I brought it in.

P.S. Even if it's not giving the odometer indication, suspect the PCM. I didn't notice the "NO BU5" indication right away when the thing would kill on the highway.

UPDATE: PCM's are now available on ebay, and they can be programmed by the seller. You'll save lots of money over the dealer.

How do you change the license plate bulb on a 2006 Hyundai Sonata?

There are two rectangular plastic lens above the license plate. They are held in place by spring clips, located on the narrow side of the lens. They cannot be seen until you remove the lens.

To remove the lens, insert a flat tip screw driver (covered with electrical tape) on either of the narrow sides, pry the lens out slightly, and then push in the direction the screw driver is already facing. If you correctly engaged the clip with the screwdriver, you will have compressed the clip, and now you can continue to pry with the screwdriver. The lens will now pop out. It's a bit like picking a lock. Once you see how it works, it's very easy to do it again.

Once the lens is out, turn counterclockwise on the bulb holder (sometimes they are pretty snug) to remove it from the lens. The bulb pulls straight out of its socket; no turning.
