How do you replace the water pump on a 2001 Chrysler Sebring 2.7?
Replacing the water pump on the 2.7 is not and easy thing to do, and if you are not comfortable with resetting your timing it may be better left to your machanic. to replace the water pump you need to remove the both belts and the belt tensioner as well as the harmonic balancer. Once that is removed you need to remove the timing chain cover to get access to the water pump. when the cover is removed you will need to let the pressure out of the main timing tensioner, but make sure that the chain does not skip any teeth or your timing will be out and that could cause major engine damage. after the tensioner has been released of pressure, unbolt the water pump, and make sure as you are taking out the last bolts that the timing chain stays tight on all of the other sprockets, ( the water pump has a sprocket as well). once you remove the water pump clean the area good and install the new pump and gasket. you might be very shocked when you open the timing case as 2.7L are well known to sludge up the oil, if your engine has more than 50-70k miles on it if you are going through this much trouble to do the water pump and you see that your engine inside is sludgy you are smart to bite the bullit and replace the timing chains and tensioners at the same time, I would also do the oilpump as well.

Your reverse lights wont turn on on your 1999 durango?
I would start with checking the fuse for your back up lights if it is good then check bulbs and if they are good then go on to check if your battery is connected.. if your getting power from batt, then see if you are getting power from batt to the fuse. if no then the link between bat and fuse is bad someplace there is a short or a broken connection. if you are getting power to the fuse then check the connection where the bulbs go use a simple meter to check for voltage there. this is where i would start.. if still no go then we can look deeper but im sure you will most likely find your issue by following these steps first

Why would the speedometer not be working on a 1998 Dodge Durango?
There could be several things wrong with your Durango including bad speed sensors, a bad instrument cluster, broken cable or connector, etc. There is a very common problem with Dodge Durango's, however, that causes the speedometer to fail or only begin to work after about 15-20 mph. On my 1999 Durango, the anti-lock brake light was permanently on along with the parking brake light. My speedometer did not work below about 15 mph. I did a serach online and found that lots of people had this same problem and it was due to a faulty rear speed sensor. This sensor is mounted on top of the rear differental and can easily be removed and replaced with a socket wrench. A new one costs about $12. If you are experiencing similar problems I would suggest trying to replace it.
