How do you replace the left front exterior door handle on a 1997 Toyota Camry LE?
Interior door handle replacement.
You will need to remove the entire interior door panel. Fortunately, this is pretty straightforward. You will need a #2 Phillips screwdriver. A flat-blade screwdriver will also be handy.
First, remove the Phillips screw in the middle of the bad door handle. Set it aside. The door handle will not come out. It should, however slide forward about 1/4 of an inch. This is, in part, holding in the door panel. It is tempting to try and remove the handle and replace just this part. However, you won't be able to reinstall the new handle through this hole. Keep going.
The arm rest is a separate piece the that can be pried up from the door handle. Carefully, using a straight blade screwdriver, pry the edge of the arm rest up until it comes loose. There are about six friction fasteners holding it in.
Once the armrest is out, you will find two Phillips screws holding the upper door panel in place. Remove them completely.
Starting at the bottom of the door slip the flat blade of a screw driver between the plastic trim and the metal door. Careful not to mar the paint. The door is held in place by a number of plastic snaps. Carefully pry the panel evenly around it's bottom perimeter until you feel the snaps come out.
The door panel should now be held in only by the top lip that is hooked over the door lock nub and the window frame. Lift the entire door panel up. It should, with a little gentle coaxing, come off. The only remaining connections should be the wires to the window operating switches. There is a connector that can be released if you need to remove this part.
I had the same problem on my 1988 and would have to leave it on. On that motor, there is a heat shield that surrounds the starter and if it is not there, when the motor heats up it will transfer that heat to the starter simulating a bad battery/starter problem. Once it cools down it starts fine. Start looking from there or get a remote starter (like I did) so you can leave it running when you run into somewhere fast. Put new lights on the boat trailer brake ights come on when releasing truck brakeAny ideas?
Make certain that the wiring is connected properly but also, check the ground wire. Don't count on the hitch to be the ground for the trailer. There should be a ground wire that goes to the electrical plug, make certain that it is connected properly.
What would cause a 1995 Camry to not start if it cranks over fine has spark and timing belt is good?
3 components of combustion are spark, fuel and compression. You think you eliminated 2 of them, leaving fuel. Spray starting fluid into the throttle body, then crank it and see if it starts temporarily. If so lack of fuel is right. Check the cold start fuel injector. I have a '91 with same problem. Removed the cold start fuel injector, which was VERY gummed up, sprayed it off with throttle body cleaner, re-installed it, engine started perfectly. You can find this on about the middle of the throttle body housing. It will have a small fuel rail and electrical connector.

Problems with starters of transit vans?
yep bad starters but a lot of the trouble is caused by the two part flywheel which has anti shock springs in it if they are gone it will eat starters but worse can damage the gearbox too the best cure if this is the case ford still sell the old type solid flywheel for the new vans and this cures the problem just google flywheel transit and you will find a lot of sites with unhappy ford transit customers but other than that they don't give much other trouble

What gauge of jumper cables should be used for vans?
It doesn't matter whether you're jump starting a Van, pickup truck or an economy car, always use cables with the largest possible COPPER wire, 00 gauge or larger.
Smaller cables will often provide enough of a boost to help a battery that's just a little low, but the larger cables work best for the more severe situations.
Does a 1986 Ford Van E150 have a Ignition Control Module and an electronic Control Module?
It does have an Ignition Control Module. It is mounted under the distributer cap by 2 screws and has wires plugged into it. they are $40-$60 dollars to buy from your local AutoZone, Napa, or O'Reily Auto Parts stores. Beware: you must remove airbox and hoses to get to the ICM and it is very difficult to get out after that anyhow.
How do you repair the leather on the interior door panel that has pulled away from the panel?
ur gonna have to get it reupholstered bro, i got the same problem.jkeil0506@yahoo.com By removing the door panel and you can get at it from the rear to spray adhesive onto the back of the spot that is coming loose by creating a small opening. Then lay the panel flat and apply pressure against the loose spot to reglue it. Or, try heating the spot with a hair dryer and them apply pressure to the spot to re-glue it. Heating it may make the glue re-stick. Use a ziplock bag full of sand to press against a curved spot so equal pressure is applied.

How much would it cost to replace the brake lines on a 93 caviler Z-24?
depends on the shop and everyone should have a shop manual for their vehicle, and the library should have a professional shop manual(wiring diagrams and more detailed info) available in the reference section for FREE....make copies of the right sections, and fix it like a PRO!! good luck Dave :)
Sounds like you need a Chiltons book which you can reference at your local library. They have all the schematics on all vehicles made. When it first started with problems if it cranked without running down the battery, sounds like it was getting enough juice from the electrical system. Sound like more of a gas issue to me. Check the float, butterfly, gas filter anything that has to do with gas getting to the carb. Could be bad fuel pump, too. Something sounds clogged. Give it a tune up too. If there is a way for you to get it to Discount/Advanced auto they do diagnostics for free. Which most places charge for, they hook up a little computer to the fuse systems and get a read out. Get your local phone book out and call around to service stations, I was lucky to find one that did it for free, too. The places that charge for it cost $50-75.00 which is a rip off, according to my mechanic because it takes less then 5 minutes to hook up and get results but you know how that goes. I know you may not be able to start it but if you have AAA or any family members have AAA they may be willing to tow it for free to and from for you to get it looked at...Good luck.
you installed, wrong pump or a defective pump
What is the proper placement of the wires on the starter solenoid of a 1983 Ford Thunderbird?
Looking at the solenoid from the front, and working towards the left, the right terminal will have one wire that goes down to the starter. The little push-on wire (usually red) will be the one that goes next. There may be another little push on, or a couple of wires with terminals- they all get attached to the next small terminal. The last terminal on the left of the solenoid is where the battery wire, and any other accessory wires go.

How do I repair a 1999 F 150 blender door?
Blend Door Problem
Your problem sounds like the common blend door problem on the Ford Expeditions, and Ford Explorer. The door is on a vertical axis and when it breaks, it can swing back and forth randomly giving heat or AC or nothing. The difference on acceleration is the force placed on the door swinging it one direction.
You can check the operation by fully opening the glove box, removing the actuator motor on top of the plenum box and examining the blend door axle. Pictures of the common fail signature are available on the heatertreater.net web site. There are several "free" fixes that mostly are worth what you pay for them. The solution on the web site is solid and proven over hundreds of vehicles and will resolve the problem once and for all.
