Your 1993 ford escort will not idle after the motor is warm and have replaced the idle air valve?
Perhaps a vacuum leak, or clogged throttle body. Perhaps just a worn out engine. When you replaced your idle air control valve, did you remove the battery for at least 10 minutes? It will reset the computer, then start the car up with all the accessories on, let it idle for about 5 minutes. It should relearn how to idle. Perhaps that will help.
How can you test the piston rings in a 93 ford escort lx?
The piston rings can be tested by running a compression check on the cylinders. This is done by pulling all the spark plugs and checking the compression through the spark plug holes at starter speed. Compression should be around 100 psi with no cylinder more or less than 15% of the others.
Why does your 1996 escort idle rough but smooth when it is above 3000 revs?
I was having idling problems and found a leaking vacuum hose. My 1.9 had a rubber elbow hose right on top of the engine that had a hole in the bend.

How do you adjust headlights on a 2001 Ford Escort?
Have this done by a professional. You do not have the equipment to do this correctly.
I am pretty sure that it is computer controlled. There is probably an input to the computer that is out of whack. There may be a code stored it the computer that may elude to the problem. If an input like a mass air flow sensor or crankshaft sensor is going bad, it will report false data to the ECM and it will make an incorrect adjustment that will flood or starve the fuel/air mixture causing a stall.
easier, try to clean or maybe change the IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE, located near the throttle body, where the air intake is, it's not difficult, it's attached with 2 bolts, then it's like a pintle with one spring, check the spring shape and replace the unit with a new one, this valve controls the air flow to your engine and if it goes bad , the RPMS are likely to be low and also stalling could occur right away when you start the engine or suddenly too

The white smoke on cold start ups is normal for these trucks due to poor oil circulation on the top end at the valves.I suggest doing a full tune up wires, plugs, rotor, distributor cap,pcv valve, and air filter, fuel filter.I would also suggest removing the air cleaner housing thoroughly clean the carburetor with carburetor cleaner and especially the cables for the choke and throttle(I use brake cleaner on the cables).Lube the cables and choke any moving metal linkage parts with liquid wrench or white lithium grease in a aeresol can.If after doing the above it may be time to remove the exhaust collector below the exhaust manifold and clean it with brake cleaner or soak in muratic acid(use gloves) and let dry.You may have a partcially clogged exhaust collector or catalytic convertor reducing your horsepower.Start simple with the tune up items. And if you decide to to tackle the exhaust work you have to remove the exhaust manifold and disconnect the exhaust pipes underneath and two brackets to remove the collector which only can be installed or removed by disconnecting these items along with the charge air pipes that connect to the air cleaner housing.Hope this does not overwhelm you with information.Tune up should correct along with the carburetor clean up and a new oxygen sensor if way old will not hurt on cost 20 dollars for it on average.
Does a tub overflow valve prevent ALL overflow?
It may not, but it should. The International Residential Code gave this clarification: "Yes. An overflow is required to remove displaced water when a bather enters the bathtub or to protect against accidental flooding resulting from an unattended filling operation."
Most tub drains lead to the same outflow pipe as the bottom drain, so if the pipe has a blockage, it will do no good. Also, the rate of flow of water into the tub can exceed the ability of the over-flow drain to keep up.
