i had a similar problem with my 92 ford escort Lx and it took me about 2 months to figure out that all i needed to do was 2 replace the pcv valve try 2 replace it it worked on mine. I hope this works

On my '88 323, you have to remove and discard the axle spindle nut. Then you can use a brass hammer to help break the drum loose. It should pull right off once you break the dirt and/or rust "seal". Make sure you get a new spindle nut first ($3-5 at a discount parts store), you have to "spike" the nut after it's snugged up to hold it in place, and you can NOT safely reuse the old one.

It depends on the engine id/vin an engine vin 8 which is a 1.8L holds 13.2 gallons and a engine vin J which is a 1.9L holds 11.9 gallons. This information is from Chilton's repair manual.

Remove the luggage compartment rear trim panel.

Have a helper hold the bumper while the bolts are removed.

Remove the retaining nuts and slide the bumper off the set bolts.

Installation is the reverse of removal.

Reach behind the headlight assembly and there is a lock ring. Turn it 1/4 turn counterclockwise and the bulb and holder comes out straight back. Pinch the connector at the holder to release the bulb. CAUTION: Halogen bulbs operate at a very high temerature. They will overheat and blow up if the glass on the bulb is contaminated in any way. Even the oil from your fingertips will make the bulb overheat and blowup in the headlight housing which will then cost you $159. Always clean a new bulb with rubbing alcohol and a clean cloth or paper towel. Never handle a bulb by the glass after cleaning it.

I have a '94 ford escort. To remove the factory radio you need a special tool that inserts into the pairs of holes found on the right and left sides of the radio. Once the tool is inserted, you will hear a "click" and be able to remove the radio. If you can't get the tool, you could try using something that will fit into these holes. You need to be able to insert something at least a few inches inside to disengage the locking mechanism. The locking mechanism is not complicated like a key, it just needs to be depressed to release.

Take the covers off (10 or 11 mm bolts). look for a mark on the cog and on the engine block sometimes thers a hole that you can put a bolt in but not allways. turn with spanner till they line up. drop left side of the engine but put a jack under it b4 you unbolt anything. once dropped jack car up and mark every cog with tip ex then mark the engine so they all line up like the top cog. There should be a TENSION COG in the middle (DRAW A GUIDE SO YOU KNOW HOW THE BELT GOES ROUND THE COGS). loosen the TENSION COG so the belt is loose take belt off if theres any bits bolted to the engine take em off out the way. put new belt on then re tension the belt. you want it a nice snug fit not too loose not to tight that it comes off. put everything back in reverse order jack engine back up bolt it too the car and you're done. if there isn't a tension cog just undo the bottom cog ( 19 or 22 mm i think) take belt off put new 1 on from bottom upwards. leave the top cog till last. put the belt on from the back of car towards you get a spanner on the cog and a blunt flat screwdriver between the belt and the cog and turn push at the same time til it goes on. make sure all the cogs line up with marks b4 you start the engine. YOU'RE DONE ALL IN ALL ABOUT 2-3 HOUR JOB if you've never done it 4!!! gud luck I have the same car so ask me if you get stuck!!

NO...but there is a fuel tank pressure switch that tell your fuel pump when it has the proper pressure to turn the pump off once pressure is achieved.

1. First have the top backside of the engine steam cleaned to keep dirt from entering the injector hole.

2. Remove fuel system pressure.

3. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery.

4. Disconnect the fuel lines and return lines.

5. Disconnect the PCV hose between the intake and the cylinder head cover.

6. Disconnect the vacuum line at the pressure regulaltor.

7. Disconnect the fuel injector wiring harness.\

8. Remove the fuel rail mounting bolts.

9. Carefully remove the fuel rail and injectors with a rocking pul motion.

10. Detatch the fuel rail and injectors by:

Disconnect the electrical connector to the from the individual injectors.

Remove the injector retaining clips.

Carefully pull the injector out of the fuel rail.

Installation.

1. Check the 0 ring for damage and replace if needed.

2. Inspect the plastic cap that covers the end of each injector and replace if needed.

3. Oil the 0 rings with engine oil.

4. Install the injectors in the fuel rail with a light rocking motion.

5. The remainder of the installation steps is the reverse of the removal steps.

Sedan:

1. Remove the retainers from the high mount brake light and lift off the cover.

2. Move the package tray out of the way.

3. Remove the speaker mounting screws.

4. Lift the speaker out and disconnect the electrical connectiions.

5. Installation is the reverse.

Its a good car. Would easily go 200k.

by the set screw on throttle cable

I have noticed on my 1993 Ford Escort wagon that the bottom pin on the front right caliper is loose. Periodically, I'll have to push it back in ~3/4". My wife noticed a ticking noise coming from the wheel and it was because the pin was actually hitting the inside of the rim. My guess: it worked its way out and then got sheared off by the rim.

It is the CV joint within the axle. I would replace it with the entire axle assembly.To save money I would buy a good used axle then bring it to a local garage.
