How do i remove a 2004 ford explorer radio?
Pull the cover around the radio and heating system off... start at the top and pry it off. Do this gently but you need to pull pretty hard... It has 6 clips I believe.. 2 on top middle and bottom... then just unscrew the 2 screws at the bottom of the radio and it will slide right out. Just did this on my 2003 Explorer.
Hope that helps!

How do you get the od light to stop flashing on a 95 Explorer Ltd?
There is a problem with the transmission.
Ford has issued a TSB on this problem. Has to do with a transmission oil pump defect and repair procedure. Article No.: 97-22-4 Date: 10/27/97 Transmission - A4LD, 4R44E/4R55E, 5R55E - Torque Converter Slip - Diagnostic Trouble Code (Dtc) 628 Or P0741 Stored In Memory Ford: 1985 to 1993 Mustang 1987 to 1988 Thunderbird Lincoln-Mercury: 1988 Cougar Light Truck: 1985 to 1990 Bronco II 1985 to 1997 Ranger 1987 to 1997 Aerostar 1991 to 1997 Explorer ISSUE: Some vehicles may experience excessive torque converter slippage, torque converter not engaging, or Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) 628 or P0714 stored in memory. This may be caused by damage to the fluid pump support seal and/or to the groove on the pump where the seal is located. ACTION: Inspect the fluid pump seal for damage. Refer to the following Service Procedure for details. SERVICE PROCEDURE: 1. Follow normal diagnostic procedures as listed in the appropriate Service Manual. 2. Inspect the fluid pump support for damage. If damaged, also inspect the fluid pump support seal groove on the pump. 3. If the groove is damaged, replace the pump. 4. If the groove is not damaged, replace the fluid pump support seal with a redesigned Seal (F77Z-7L323-AA). Refer to Figure 1. 5. Do not replace the torque converter unless it is damaged or fails the criteria listed in the appropriate Service Manual and/or refer to TSB 96-26-12. This is something I recommend having a Ford Dealer do since they have the experience with the job.

I have the same problem, it is probably the sending unit on the fuel pump, it is a common problem I've been told!
The pump is in the fuel tank and can be quite pricey, most places just replace the fuel pump as the sending unit is attached already and comes as one unit, however they do sell it separately.
Good Luck
How do you know if you have a ohv or sohc in a 98 ford explorer 2 door NOT A 4X4 sport SUV?
The SOHC engine is usually labeled as such. I really can't describe the visual difference in this format, but you can always look it up by finding the 8th digit in your VIN number and asking your local auto parts store. The 8th digit is the engine code number.
How can you disable the immobilizer system on a Rover 400?
you can't. simple as that. but if i'm taking you up right and you are genuinely having problems with the immobiliser then i'd reccommend you use a second and last higher digit to sort the problem out for good. just say your code is 3545 don't enter it, but instead enter 3646 and you should here a click from the drivers side engine. thats it. it worked for me and i never had a problem since. by the way if you don't know the original keycode then you won't be able to up the second and last digit accordingly so will not work. hope this helps.
I have the same issue with my 99 TJ. After a ton of searching, I came across a technical service bulletin (NHTSA #606058, Service bulletin #081599, Replacement bulletin #082098) about the problem. There is an electrical component that is failing. I called the dealership and they told me it's about 200 bucks to fix.
I had the same problem on my 99 jeep wrangler. Although I had mine fixed while under warranty, a temporary fix is to give an open handed smack to the top left of the dashboard. I say open handed because you want to smack fairly firmly but not break anything. Use this until you can afford to fix it properly.
The problem is a loose (poorly designed) connector under the dash, smacking it jars it and reestablishes the connection till the next time it comes loose.
