Several things could be going on, so I will try to help, though more info is actually needed. The first thing that I can think of is if the battery is too weak the symptom may be that the engine does not actually spin over while trying to start the vehicle, but you will hear a rapid clicking noise coming from the starter relay when the key is turned to the start position. If this is not it, then I need to know more, like, does the engine actually spin over? is the clicking occurring with the key turned on or off? Stuff like that.

If you are positive its 2 & 3 , and you know the coils are good , check the crank/cam angle sensor . I had this problem with 1 & 4 cyl. I WAS NOT able to test the cam sensor at home , myself. So I replaced it with a working one from a friends car . Cured . Bought one from junk yard next day , they are VERY expensive.

The fuse block itself is labeled as to what each fuse is for, however most fuses do double duty for 2 or more items not listed on the block. If you reach up at the back of the block there is a release lever that allows the fuse block to swing down for easier viewing. For those items not marked I often wind up taking out each fuse one at a time and determine which one is blown and replace it. Replace fuses with a fuse of the proper value.

If you have a Chilton manual it has a description of the fuse block in it.

I worked at a tire/ wheel shop for 6 years. Have a '99 Contour v6. A flathead screw driver should work just fine. Find the notch on the edge of the center cap, stick the screwdriver in and pry it a little and it will pop right off and expose the lugs. I like to put my index finger between the screwdriver and wheel so not to scratch anything, plus it's better leverage.

Changing the oil is pretty much a straight forward procedure.Except with the 3.0 liter engine.The oil filter is next to the positive cable of the starter.This is not good.You must disconnect the battery before you attempt to unscrew the oil filter and remove it.If you remove the filter without disconnecting battery,it will arc off of the positive end and catch fire.This is from experience!

Lift both rear tires off the ground with your transmission in neutral turn one wheel in a forward direction, if the other goes in the same direction you have a locking differential, if it turns in the opposite direction you don't.

Instead of asking people you don't know for info that might be wrong, go to Auto-Zone and spend $20 on Haynes manual #36071 which covers 1993 to 2008 Rangers and Mazda B-series truck repair.

check to see if it's still in time and have the compression checked, if these four are correct it has to run. time, fuel compression and spark. hope it helps

The range of fluctuations can be from .1volt to .9volts. A digital voltmeter will usually average these voltages to about .45 volt. Lower voltages indicate a lean mixture and higher voltages indicate a rich mixture. A scan tool or oscilloscope is necessary to see acurate live voltage changs on an oxygen sensor.
