whic is your problem with the sliding door? I have a old sil 99 and I need to change all completely motor and mechanism, I got in a yonke here on Mexico.

The Windstar engines are equipped with a timing chain. No scheduled replacement is necessary.

Generally timing chains are only changed on very high-mileage motors if they are being rebuilt or refreshed. In most cases by the time the engine is due for a timing chain change, it could use a rebuild anyway. you should not have to do any maintenance to the timing chain because its internal and lubed by ''splash'' oiling though internal oil gallies in the engine block. the cam should also be the same.

OBD II scanner ( on board diagnostics) it will give you engine and other codes, you can buy them at Autozone for $20.00 to 150.00

The system it self detects a problem. From the wiring to the alarm horn to the module. But on mine I found that one of the reverse sensors were bad. It had a small chip in it. Went to Ebay and got one for about $35 and replaced it (or just interchange it until the light goes out). No tools to remove it just open up the flexable tabs with your fingers and pull it threw the back. hope this helps you.

I had this problem today on my 99' F-150. The dealership told me to remove the key from the ignition and wait for 15 minutes. Then attemp to start the truck as normal. After two attemps it worked. If this did not work I would have to have the truck towed in and have both Keys and the module worked on,

You can get a wiring kit at most auto parts store for your year of van.you need to take the the rear tail lights out and just unplug and plug in the new wires leads and hide a few wires under the trim. I did mine and was real easy.wire kit has step by step so it was no problem.guess it took me around a hour to do it.Got mine at autozone.

Start the car..it will go dead. LEAVE the key on, until the theft system light on the dash stops flashing( 10 mins.) and just stays lit.Turn the key off.You are good to go.

That happens when the abs computer detects a malfunction with a wheel speed sensor or the abs computer fails. You need to have the system checked for codes with a scan tool.

Pop the plastic covers off around the steering. you will see a contact that is making the noise, add some grease to the contact. I think it's for power to the horn.

there isn't a speed pulse on the new dodge vehicles, you have to use an aftermarket gererator. like the soundgate CAN VSS works via the CAN system

I had the same problem on my 2001 windstar , behind the radio there is a part called blend door actuator , got it at advance autoparts , about 60 dollars , took about 30 minutes to change out , plastic gears were stripped , that's what makes clicking sound , now my heat works great, Jerry from Orlando

If it's not the actuator motor, the actual blend door may be broken. This is a very common problem in the Windstars. Typically the dash must be disassembled and the plenum box removed to access the blend door. I tried another method with the heatertreater. It involved removing the glovebox and making an incision in the plenum box to replace the blend door. It saves a lot of time, check your actuator motor to see if it has the stripped gear issue first.

They're all about standard {interchanged parts}, especially around that year, but because of that it should be almost 16 gallons (15.75}. I know that the 89 Olds Cutlass {Cruiser} has that size as do several others I've ran across.
