One good and quick way to check it is to pull the vacuum line off of it and see if there is fuel leaking into the vacuum system. If there is, the regulator is bad.

Disconnect the Regal battery. Remove the alternator belt. Disconnect the alternators wiring, then unbolt and remove the alternator. Reverse the procedures for installation.

Mine seems to take 5 quarts of oil for the engine. What is a "tranfer"?

Add coolant to the coolant reservoir tank (a rubber tube runs from the top of the radiator to the coolant tank). The system is designed to automatically purge itself from air and replace it with coolant from the coolant tank. Watch the level of fluid in the tank and make sure you keep it filled to the "full" mark. If there is air in the system, you will notice the coolant level in the tank drop over time as the radiator draws in coolant and purges itself and the rest of the cooling system of air. Expect this to occur over several driving sessions. The cooling system is a sealed system; you can add coolant directly to the radiator when your vehicle is cold (if there is room), but NEVER when it is hot. It's best, however, to be patient by adding coolant to the reservoir tank and letting the system take care of itself.

there is a drain plug and a fill plug on the underside of the transmission. you need to use the fill plug. You can not fill the transmission fluid or check the level, any other way.(it is a ridiculous design, i know.....)

go to autozone.com look under Isuzu repair info, then choose the year and choose "trooper".then look under "fluids" the info will be there.

replace the hydraulic tappets in the rocker arms, valves are non adjustable.

It sure can (depends on the state). It's called perjury of the officer. Same thing goes for your address, make and model of car, any kind of information gotten wrong on the ticket can most likely get it dismissed. You probably lucked out. Errors on traffic tickets occur frequently, and yes it does depend on the State, however, it doesn't always mean that the case would be thrown out. I don't know what state "perjury of an officer" applies to, but there is no such thing in New York for making an error on a traffic ticket. Help me please - engaged clutch - turned key- engine turned over - power and all then died -- restarted - pop and no power as if battery died???? what can I trouble shoot and where to start???? Thanks

1. Get the truck up on ramps and jack stands.. Make sure it's not going anywhere cause neither the e-brake or gears will help you. 2. Disconnect battery.

3. Disconnect the 4wd universal joint and main universal joint. (you will need to move the ebrake cable out of the way so go back into the cab and take the ebrake off.

4. remove the cross member

5. Loosen and remove all the bolts and nuts holding the tranny housing to the engine.

6. Top passenger side will be your last NUT and it's a tuffy. It and the main shaft will hold the tranny up.

7. Position a tranny jack underneath and slide the tranny out.

This is rather simplified but it should get you started just fine.

There are two fuse blocks, one in the engine room on the right side(passenger) towards the front and the other one is in the cab of the vehicle on the left side(driver).

As you open the door the panel on the left on the dash will have to be removed in order to expose the fuse block.

one reason could be the clutch, or pressure plate dont buy any cluthes or cluth kits from autozone!!!!!! could be a blown fuse. fuse has to be working to get out of park. Depends what you mean by "stick". There are two cables involving the shift mechanism. 1. Transmission Shifter cable 2. Park Ignition Key release cable (not sure what it is called) part of shifter thumb release assembly Can you depress the stick shifter release button and have any movement of the shifter? Have you noticed any difficulty in moving shifter over the last several months? (Word of caution here!!! the shifter mounting assembly is made of thin cast white metal. if you have a seized cable and try to pull shifter very hard. It will break ! Requiring a trip the the local wrecker to find this part! 8) Most likely you have a damaged shifter cable that has finally seized. The rubber coating if cut or slashed will allow water inside cable. Rust begins soon after.

Loosen the tensioner pulley. Remove the power steering belt. Remove the power steering hose. Remove the power steering retaining bolts. The power steering pump will come off.

A sprocket don't really have "parts", it's all one piece. I suppose you could talk about the teeth, maybe even tips and troughs, and the axle hole or whatever. But seeing it's all one solid unit it wouldn't be much point.

The flasher is located up under the dash on the drivers side between the steering colum and the kick panel. Be aware there are 2 flashers in this model. they are both the same so the easy way to tell the difference is to turn on the 4way flashers. the one that does not click on and off is the signal flasher. I have a update for the Trooper. I have a 1998 Isuzu Trooper. This model has only 1 Flasher relay. It is located on the left side of the kick panel on the drivers side. It has 2 tabs holding it to the base. It is small about 1" wide and 3/4" tall as you are looking at it. It is right above the fuse panel and the plastic kick panel itself. This model is not under the steering column. I was looking forever under there!

Manual or automatic?

Automatic check under the hood of your vehicle. In most cases there will be two dip-sticks. One for the motor oil and one for the transmission oil.

Manual ...keep looking you will not find one.

On an automatic, there is no dipstick under the hood. The 2001 Isuzu Trooper has two plugs on the transmission pan, itself. The lower plug is the drain plug, used if you are changing the transmission fluid altogether. The "upper plug", in the recessed area closer to the passenger side, is the fluid check plug. If cold starting, allow the engine to run for about two (2) minutes so the engine can warm-up. Using a 3/4" socket with a 1/2" socket-wrench (an extension or swivel may be useful), loosen this upper plug. Unscrew by hand slowly until you see fluid draining from the plug. If no fluid drains by the time the plug is removed, you can do a finger check. Take your finger (preferably with a glove on it) and feel for fluid to be just at the lip of the recess. If it is low, you will need a fluid pump to apply to the proper level. It is a good idea to change your transmission fluid altogether at about 65k miles (as I understand it.) If doing so, change the transmission pan gasket, and the transmission filter as well. This should all come in on package. Hope this helps.

Does it have a mechanical fuel pump? I don't know much about the Isuzu's, but a mechanical fuel pump, the type that was attached to the side of the engine, could develop a type of leak that allowed fuel to be pumped into the engine. Other possibilities would be a leaky injector or a stuck needle/seat (if it's not fuel injected) that leaks into a faulty PCV valve.
