What does a P 1345 diagnostic code mean on a 1996 Mazda 626?

My '96 Mazda 626 broke its harmonic balancer. With it broken, it would start and run fine. I replaced the balancer and belts and tried to start it. After much cranking, it started but died and wouldn't start again. My scanner indicated code P1345 "Manufacturer controlled ignition system or misfire." It also had a code P0302 "Cylinder 2 misfire." That tells us what the code means, but what does it really mean? Where does the problem lie? Help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The EGR is on the back half of the motor. pull the throttlebody off and you can get to it. There is one electrical connector and 2 fuel lines, also an exhaust line. everything will come off easily, except for the exhaust line. the part will cost between $250 and $500. dont clean it up, just replace it. its a lot of work to do to just find out that its really bad.

Where is A Mazda 626 starter?

On a typical 4-cylinder 626, the starter motor is located on the lower end of the engine, to the right of the transaxle (removal would require raising the vehicle and properly securing it with appropriate jack stands). On a typical v6 626, the starter motor is located beneath the throttle position sensor, knock sensor, distributor, and other electrical connectors that interfere with the proper removal. acc083
