Where is the PCV located on a 1991 Nissan Stanza KA24E engine?

somewhere along the valve cover should be an outlet which feeds back into your intake system. Typically the pcv is located at the valve cover towards the rear (firewall or 4th piston) and is plugged right into the valve cover itself. It usually costs less than $10 and takes less than 5 minutes to replace.

The distributor has a module that sends the current to each spark plug in its firing order. To get to the module one must first remove the ignition rotor. There is a plate that has two screws. The module is located under the plate. The module can be removed and be tested at a local parts store. The module can be purchased at most auto stores. It cost around $100.00.

How do you replace the fuel pump on a 1991 Nissan Stanza and how do you really know if it needs replacement?

Well you need to disconect the fuel pump wires in the trunk they are located in the back of the trunk near the back seat. then u have to drop the gas tank and the fuel pump is located inside the gas tank. good luck with this project. Sorry that's the hard way, if you take out the back seat there is an axcess panel with the wires running thru it. Remove the panel and the pump is right there. Five 8mm bolts and it comes out, super easy all companies should do this. As far as knowing if it needs to be done I would ckeck the plug in the back of the trunk, left hand side up against the seat. If all is good then you should here the pump activate when you try to start the car,you would also smell gas under the hood if it won't fire and its not the pump. You can also pull the fuel line off the fuel filter on the firewall and see if it shoots out fuel when you try to fire the motor. I suggest you get a bud to help if you try this method.

How do you adjust the idle on your 1992 Nissan Stanza?

The idle speed is not adjustable on this car. It has fuel injection, so the computer is responsible for controling the idle speed.

You can adjust it on carburated engines, but not on injected ones. (At least that's the idea. There is a throtle position bolt somewhere around the air intake throttle, but it is highly unrecommended to touch it.) So, look for other causes of bad idling.

M. Scosyrev.

Not so fast ! you can change the air adjustment and it will speed up or slow down the rpm. I saw the Nissan Man do it with a screw driver.YES!!!

The shop manual has a specific procedure to adjust the idle speed.

How do you replace a fuel pump on a 1987 Nissan Stanza gxe sedan?

I have same problem, if it's a fuel injection car, I'm 99% sure it's inside gas tank.....that means dropping gas tank to ground and removing it out the top of tank.........I'm hating this job already,LOL!!! You have to disconnect 2 wire inside trunk first near left of back seat.

1985 Nissan Stanza it is leaking a lot of oil the oil pressure gauge is on zero and wont move and it sounds like the engine is going to fall out of the car What can you do?

Don't start the car, that's what you do. Check oil level before starting, if dipstick is dry, don't start it, add the correct amount of oil, one quart at a time till it registers correctly on dipstick. This is why you have no oil pressure and the sound is probably an engine that has been abused and needs major repairs. Damage already done, sounds like. Have it checked out

How do you replace the water pump on a 1989 Nissan Stanza?

Where is the PCV valve located on a 1988 Nissan Stanza wagon and is it in line on a hose or screwed into the intake manifold?

It's screwed into the intake manifold, toward the left as you're looking from the front of the car. It's not on top, but hard to see, behind the fuel rail assembly. You'll have to peek past #1 and #2 fuel injectors and their attendant hoses and you'll see a hose attached to a threaded fixture on the intake assembly. That's the PCV valve. I've been thinking of replacing mine even though it checks out fine, but not really looking forward to it, since it's in a reasonably inaccessable place. At least the valves are cheap and you only have to replace them every 30,000 miles or so. Best of luck...
