Where is the throttle body on a 1995 Oldsmobile Aurora?

It sets on top of the intake manifold and between the air snorkel. If you follow the air snorkel from the air filter box to the engine, you'll find a large hose clamp securing the snorkel to a cast metal part. That is the throttle body.

Change the breaker under rear seat next to battery. Also check to see if there are broken wires inside the boot between the driver door and car body. The boot can be pulled back off the door and slid a little into the body to see wires and repair if needed.

What happens when regular fuel is used in a 1997 Oldsmobile Aurora instead of recommended premium fuel?

I've been a gear-head (racer, collector, etc..)all my life and have never really known different fuels to cause a problem, other than pinging, on newer cars. Until now, that is. I had been running the lower octane fuel in the Aurora then decided to begin running premium. After the first two tanks there was a noticeable difference in performance, smoothness, etc. Also, the fuel mileage picked up almost 2mpg. This car is one that definitely needs premium fuel and I'll never put the lower octane stuff back in it.

Answerit will more than likely PING when accellerating under load.if you mix fuel grades it should be ok. i run reg. all the time.no problem.

How long will it take to change a altinator on a 95 aurora Oldsmobile?

If all goes well, about 4 hours.

You will need to...

- remove plastic shroud from under engine compartment

- disconnect coolant lines

- remove rad only, not a/c as book says

- remove rad support to get it out, it just slides out

- remove serpentine belt

- remove a brace under engine compartment to let the alternator fall out

- remove alternator

That's about it. You do NOT need to remove the a/c lines and condenser as the manual says. If you remove only the rad and remove the brace from under the motor, you have tons of room to let the alt. fall out the bottom.

I did mine about 3 months ago. It took my father and I about 2.5 hours to do as everything went rather smoothly. If I remember correctly, I think you might also have to remove the oil filter as I think it was right near the alt.

It is not as involved as it looks in the shop manual. It is a little tight so expect to do quite a bit of "fingering" bolts out. I would suggest some cotton gloves dipped in rubber to grip them.

How do you replace crankshaft position sensor on 01 3.5 aurora?

Not very hard. You have to take the starter out (or at least I did). I did the work from underneath the car. Take the battery cable loose. Remove the starter. The crank sensor is held in with one bolt. Take it out, clean everything off, put the new sensor in and plug it in. Make sure the sensor wires are tie-wrapped or otherwise strapped down so they don't vibrate over time and break. Re-install the starter. I have read that you should "calibrate" the sensor but you need a diagnostic connection to the computer to do it. I have not done this on my car and don't seem to have had any issues and it's been 10's of thousands of miles.

Where is the multi-purpose switch for a 1995 olds aurora?

How do you change a brake light in a 2002 Aurora?

You have to do it from inside the trunk. Remove the plastic screws that hold the cargo net in (they should just screw out). Then, pull the plastic trim that was under the plastic screws out to expose the studs that hold the tail lights in (there should be 2-3 studs). Remove any screws if there are any present and the entire taillight assembly should be loose enough to remove. Pull the assembly away from the car, be careful not to short out the cords, and remove the bulbs just like you would any bulb.

Where is the fuel filter located on a 1999 Oldsmobile aurora?

These sensors are located above the oil filter mounting bracket. You will need to drain engine oil. Use 10mm socket with extension to remove the oil filter mounting bracket. Then, use a 10mm socket to remove the bottom CPS, the upper one is more complicated due to AC line is on the way, gently, pull down on the ac line and remove the upper CPS. Be very patient because depending on how clean your car is, stuff falls in your face, wear clear goggles. Remember, this vehicle uses two CPS, so replace both, but if you only have one sensor on hand, replace the upper one first and use the best of the twos, for the bottom. Good luck..!
