The cause 95% of the time is worn bronze contacts in the starter, itself. Buy a new set from you dealer, open up the starter, pull out the old contacts, and bolt 'er back together. My son and I have done this on 3 or 4 of our various pickups, and it has worked every time.

How do you remove the front and rear speakers on a 1992 Toyota Corolla?

I am in the process of the same thing. What I have found out so far is. Remove the three plastic screw type plugs from the rear board, then remove the third break lite, next remove the two seat covers on each side of the fold down seats, (have not figured that out yet), next unbolt the two seat belts from the side, next there are several black clamps inside the trunk that hold in the rear carpeted panel that you will need to pry sightly loose for the panel to slide out and over the speakers. Now tell me how to remove the two side cousions? KJS3964@juno.com

Try to use Toyota speaker adapter plugs so you don't need to cut wires and mess the electric system up. You can get them from Ebay or Amazon.

Hi, I just finished replacing both front and back speakers in my 92 Corolla. This answer is right up to removing the rear brake light. The side cushions are held on by a piece of metal and are easily removed by lifting the cushion up and then towards you. You also do not need to remove the seat belts as long as you don't mind putting a little more muscle into taking the rear board out. I just bent the edges enough to get it past, there was no damaging the board involved. As far as the wiring goes, the speakers I took out used adapter plugs, but the ones I put in were from a Hyundai Accent (exact same speakers, different plug) and I just cut the wires a soldered the wires together. As long as you do it right (hook up the positive to the positive and the negative to the negative...very easy to tell, the negatives all have a black line on them!) it's impossible to mess the electrical system up by cutting the wires!

As far as the front goes, on the driver's side there are four screws you need to take out to get the panel off (panel under the steering wheel). On the top of the panel there are two screws for the panel you need to take off and two more that are for the upper panel, you'll understand when you take a look. The front speakers are inside plastic mounts, so you have to take the mount off with the three screws holding it, and then take the speaker out of the plastic mount. Again, the front speakers are hooked up with plugs, but soldering is as good a connection as you can make, just be sure to tape over the exposed wire to prevent shorting out or any other problems. On the passenger side you have to open the glove box to get to all the screws and I believe there are a total of 5 screws on that side. But from there it is the same as the driver's side. The front is easier than the back but it's way harder to find replacement speakers for the front because they're smaller and uncommon.

What would cause a 1996 Toyota T100 to stall when it is put into drive?

There could be a few reasons why your truck would stall like that. 1)Check your spark plugs and wires 2)Your mass air flow sensor may be dirty or going out and needs to be replaced 3)Check your butterfly valve and your intake manifold, they could be dirty or have alot of build ups. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with your spark plugs.

How do I install a speedometer cable for a 1989 Ford Festiva?

Unscrew the speedo at the gearbox. I've been able to remove the other end from the back of the instrument cluster without removing the cluster from the car. Using a torch, find the speedo cable and follow it to the back of the cluster. Put your "cigarette smoking" fingers on top of the clip which remains the cale and use your thumb on the bottom and push up. The cable should unclip from the cluster. Pull cable through firewall whichever way looks easiest. To install get anoth person to help you. While one person feed the cable onto the back of the instrument cluster, get the other person to turn the inner cable to align the cable into the cluster, cos the cable is square at both ends. Clip in and screw the other end into the gearbox. Done. If you are just replacing the inner cable , you can can remove the cable at the tranny and pull it out , and slide the new one right in , less than a 10 min job , just make sure to lube it well when installing the new one of the old one , that is the biggest problem , they get dry and chirp and squeal and speedo needle jumps .

How many miles does a 1995 Toyota T 100 get?

I have a 1995 T100 with the 4-cyl., 2.7 engine and 5-speed manualtransmission. When driven locally, the truck averages 20-21 MPG when not using the air conditioner. Running the air conditioning reduces fuel economy by 1 to1.5 MPG. On trips, the truck averages 24-25 MPG, with 26-MPG being the best ever obtained. The truck currently has 211,000 miles on the odometer and uses oil at the rate of about one-quart every 5000 miles (if it were allowed to go that long).

How do you replace the head on a 22R engine?

Replacing a head on an engine is a very complicated task. Most likely, any answer you would get here would not be enough information for you, unless it was a book in length. You should go purchase a manual for that, either a Chilton's manual, or Haynes. Your best bet is to take the vehicle to a shop.

How do you replace a speedometer cable on 1998 Toyota T100?

I have a 1996 t100 it should be similar. It took me 45 minutes. so don't worry , you can do it. First take off the dash panel under the steering wheel, it will hang there attached to wires, like four 10mm bolts. Then take off the the trim plate around the speedo, should be 2 screws, you might have to tilt steering wheel or put in gear to make room to get it out. 4 screws and you have the speedo console out, reach behind and pop off old speedo cable. pull down dash and push through floor board hole. under truck it has 3 hooks that hold in place undo those. on the passenger side the cable continues into a heat shroud, take that off three nuts hold it in place. two hooks hold the cable in place under the shroud. unscrew end of speedo cable attached to tranny. attach new cable and follow instruction in reverse up and back into the cab.

Good luck

Will 1994 4runner front seat fit a 1995 t100?

no, at least not if your T100 has the 60/40 bench. The 4runner seat mounts are closer together than the mounting holes on the T100. I put a 97 4runner drivers seat in my 96 T100, but it required lots of cutting drilling and a handful of grade 8 bolts. Can be done, just not straightforward.
