How do you replace the front turn signal on a 2002 Jetta?
The headlight assembly contains all the light bulbs on one piece of plastic, but not the turn signal. In order to get to the assembly, you need to remove the battery. Also, there are 2 black plastic covers held on by 4 screws. Remove those screws (philips) and the covers. Behind the headlight assembly you will see a large black piece of plasic with two metal bands over it on each side. These are hard to get off but push them off of the pastic, they snap in place so it can be hard and noisy when they unlatch. This will let you take off the backing of the main headlight. Right beside that backing is a long, rectangular backing that has a plastic snap at the top. You may need a screwdriver or a chisel to pry this latch off, but push down on the plastic latch and pull the backing off. The top of this housing has the turn signal. Pull the entire turn signal housing with the wires just an inch or so. Use a set of pliers to unplug the wiring from the bulb housing. Once that's done, pull the bulb housing out, undo the small metal latches on the side of the bulb, and pull the bulb out. You may need a set of pliers for that. Replace the bulb, the bulb assembly, and plug in the wiring assembly. Once again, pliers may be needed for that. Replace the plastic backing and the main headlight backing. .
Which external sources would you turn to for info relating to access to work?
Classified ads in papers give people access to many available jobs in their area. Also, workforce centers exist in most communities to help people find work.
The first question I would ask is if you were running incandescent or LED lights. If you're running LEDs, and didn't install resistors - or the resistors aren't functioning properly, there's your problem. LEDs take a lot less energy to light up, so to dim the marker lights, the market light circuit needs to have additional resistance added in order for those LEDs to not be fully illuminated.. once they are, they can't get any brighter.
What should you do if the turn signal is clicking erratically?
my 2000 Chevy Van's left turn signal is clicking erratically. What should I do? Check your indicator light bulbs as one may be out. There could be an earthing problem if not the bulb.
If it is only one of the passenger side turn signals, it has either a shorted power lead or an open ground; check the ground first. If both front and rear turn signals are not working, check/replace blinker module.
Hazard signals not working and turn signals not flashing in a 95 Volvo 850 How do you fix?
the relay needs to be replaced. you will find it behind the hazard switch (attached to the switch - a long skinny thing)
I looked forever till someone told me where it was. Even the Volvo parts guy didn't know and Lawrence Volvo of Walnut Creek, CA would not tell me...
How come when I signal right my blinker flashes twice as fast as left?
IT USUALLY MEANS ONE OF YOUR BULBS ON THE RIGHT SIDE ,EITHER FRONT OR REAR ARE BURNT OUT. At least one of the filaments is dying. You need a new bulb. The front bulb, rear bulb, and dash signal lights are connected by a physical timer. How this timer works is that they have two connectors on one side, that has electricity build up. After X milliseconds, enough electricity has been built up, and it arcs across, completing the circuit. This is when all your bulbs blinks. However since one of your bulbs have been "burned out", the electricity that SHOULD have been used to power the bulb, goes straight to the timer, and builds up the electricity faster resulting in a faster number of arcs, which is why you see more "blinks".
How do you change a signal relay in a reanult clio?
if you look under and behind dash drivers side you will see it it is silver and just pulls out ,fitting is easey.
This is not a typical thing to occur. Most likely there could be either a turn signal bulb out or the relay is starting to die. Besides the noise, you may notice the turn signal is going on and off really fast. Otherwise, there might be a wire pinched and shorting out in the steering column. I'd take it to a ford dealer if possible.
make sure the bulb is good take the bulb out of the otherside and install it in the driver side. if it still does not work then chck the ground and power do this with a twelve volt test light, you can purchase one at any hardware store. good luck
How do you replace a front turn signal on a 2003 Corvette?
First turn the headlamps to the on position. Then turn the switch back one click to the parking light position. Take a 13mm wrench and remove the hood stop. From there you work blind, feel your way to the socket and push the lock tab in and rotate the socket. Pull the bulb straight out of the socket. If it burns out again in a few weeks check if the housing is cracked from heat. If it is then driving in the rain will drip onto the hot light bulb and it will be out again shortly. You can seal up the housing with some RTV smeared over the crack. Good Luck, Dave

How do you replace the rear blinker light on a Taurus?

If your hood suddenly flies up you should turn on your hazard lights and continue driving?
Stop and pull over as quickly and safely as you can
Where is the location of the turn signal flasher in a 1990 Dodge Dynasty?
at the very top of underneath the dashboard above the fuse panel in the glove box if it's the same as a '91. drove me crazy. had to remove the glove box compartment to get my arm up in there to remove it. .
AnswerOn the pass. side beside the glove box (when open) there is the fuse box. above or beside the fuse box is the relays for the turn & hazard signals. You may have to remove the glove compartment all the way over to the ash tray that whole assembly comes out look up where the glove compartment used to be. You will see the relays. Use your owners manual it will point you to the flasher relay.
If your turn signal is not flashing, replacing the flasher or relay might not fix it. Especially if one side flashes and the other doesn't, there is probably a short or corroded wire somewhere in the circuit. Refer to a wiring diagram to test with a test light. Good Luck.

If only one turn signal is the problem and it is flashing really fast, it's a bulb. If neither works and the fuse is okay, if the 1990 is like my 1991 you can't see the relays. Once you've removed the dash from glove box to ashtray, look above the fuse block and follow the red wires. Reach above the wires and then feel downwards toward the back of the car. The relays are installed by being pushed down and are not visible. Again, if like my 1991, the owner's manual says you can push the relay block up and out and drop it down for easier access. Hope this saves the hours of frustration I spent thinking the relays were installed front to back or upwards and were visible.
Does the horn relay affect the turn signals?
No, but the turn signal relay has a direct effect on the turn signals.
What is signal signal conditioning and why do you need it?
In electronics, signal conditioning means manipulating an analogue signal in such a way that it meets the requirements of the next stage for further processing. Most common use is in analog-to-digital converters.
In control engineering applications, it is common to have a sensing stage (which consists of a sensor), a signal conditioning stage (where usually amplification of the signal is done) and a processing stage (normally carried out by an ADC and a micro-controller). Operational amplifiers (op-amps) are commonly employed to carry out the amplification of the signal in the signal conditioning stage.
So, a signal conditioning circuit includes a logarithmic signal compression circuit for compressing wide dynamic range input signals to a dynamic range which is a predetermined portion of the dynamic range of an output utilization apparatus. There is provided, additionally, means for detecting the presence of the high level signals and superimposing a signal representative of the high level signals on the compressed signals to provide a combined output signal which, while compressed to the range of the output utilization apparatus, contains definable low level and high level signals from a wide dynamic range input signal. The horn ring inside the steering column is made of Nylon, or a derivitve of plastic from almost the same type- it gets old after awhile, and eventually breaks. So what you have here is the turn signal cancel parts in the column have broken off, and no longer make contact with the trigger- another piece of plastic that is surrounding the steering shaft.
How to replace turn signal relay for your 1998 ford f-150 truck?
The turn signal relay is located on the driver side by the fuse box it is just plugged in like a fuse you just unplugged and insert the new one.
When a driver holds their left arm straight out the window it means he will?
. . . be making a left turn.
Check all the bulbs, front and back. If they are good then it is probably the flasher, which is usually a round plug in part under the dash, either in the fuse area or under the passenger side.
