There are 2 short, flat metal tabs that came with your car, that you slide into the two slots on the front of the radio. This will trigger the release, and the radio will slide straight out.

Easy ! There is one ignition coil FOR EACH SPARK PLUG in this engine- six total You remove the two 10mm nuts holding each coil to the head cover, then the coils just lift right out. The spark plug is down in a well under its coil. You will see the top of the spark plug after that plug's coil is removed. There are three on each side. The drivers side may have a metal brace bar in the way. Unbolt this to get to the back coil and spark plug. Note that these are Platinum plugs and are not cheap. Use only the correct Acura recommended plugs. They are good for 60000 miles under normal use assuming the engine is in good shape. You need a standard deep-well spark plug socket tool to remove and install them. Caution: This engine has aluminum heads. DO NOT cross thread the plugs or you will have a big expensive problem. Also DO NOT remove them while engine is hot. You may want to blow out the dirt from the wells before taking the plugs out too, so nothing gets into the cylinders. Put a drop of oil or anti-seize on the threads of the new plugs. Makes them easier to get out next time.

I have a '98 VW Beetle with a Engine Check Light fault 0341 or Cam Position sensor problem. I have had this problem for about 40,000 miles and at times have tried to fix it.

In responding to your "how to" request let me first say that the Beetle uses the cam position sensor to fine tune the gasoline mixture and spark to real-life driving conditions. In the event the cam position sensor stops working, the computer control system simply reverts to a built-in database of mixture and spark settings. These are just fine but may result in some increased gasoline consumption.

Now for the fix-it suggestions: a faulty cam position sensor is not very common by what I have read. But the cam position sensor fault can be a result of in improperly tensioned or timed, toothed cam belt. In addition, the cam position sensor fault seems to be commonly caused because of frayed or otherwise faulty wiring from the sensor to its' connection into the wiring harness.

To replace the sensor, you must remove the toothed cam belt (loosen the tensioner and pull the belt off of the cam sprocket) and the cam sprocket. The sensor is located behind the sprocket - it is easily replaced. Althought this may seem daunting, the hard part is relocating the cam sprocket correctly to the cam shaft. You see, there is no key or fixed marks to get it back on correctly. I do recommend that you get a repair book to try the yourself. The VW book is somewhat difficult to use and I have never looked at the Haynes manuals.

your problem could be a bad bulb (front or back) or it may be a bad flasher cube which is located usually where your fuse block is. hope this helps. good luck

There are 3 capacitors inside the fan, wired to the pull chain switch. one or all of these will be all melted and derformed. replace the damaged capacitors, the values are written right on them.

these caps are what control the speed of the fan by limiting voltage to the motor.

assuming you have the 3800 3.8L engine the firing order is 1-6-5-4-3-2

On the 98 model, the release is on the side wall by the brake. When it is pulled another release comes out from under the hood. Pull that one towards you and the hood is relased.

I have a 2000 VW Beetle 2.0 and it was the engine speed or crank sensor. The symptom was, I would be driving or idling and the engine would quit. I used my OBD scan tool and it showed the code and the sensor was replaced. The part cost was $125.

ABS is going out I have the same problem right now. lol.

clean the lights (not being sarcastic ) you would be surprised how much dirt comes off them. failing that fit some uprated xenon bulbs around 20 quid they fit straight in no modification required. the fitment you are looking for is H4

Unfortunately, I am stuck with the same problem. I went to the dealer who allowed me to peek at the schematic of the gas door activator. However, when I asked the service manager if I could do this myself, he called a technician who told him it is a tricky repair. In other words, they would rather I pay them untold sums of money to install this $36.00 part.

Well, This is Not Really Correct. All You Need To Do Is Open The Trunk, Pull Off The Hard Plastic Cover With The Crome Strip On It Near The Trunk Latch, Then On The Passenger' Side Of The Trunk Pull Off The Molded Fabric Just From The Rear Near The Tail Light Not The Whole Thing Because If You Do You Will Have To Remove A Metal Hook And This Is Not Required, Then You Will See The Actuator, It Is White With 2 Philips Screws Holding It To A Metal Bracket. Loosen The Screws And Now The Body Of The Actuator Is Free But Wait! The Plunger Is Still Attatched To The Car! Well, If You Look ath The End Of The Actuator You'll See A Metal Shaft Bent Like The Letter "U" At The End Where It Is Inserted In TRhe Round Plunger. Just Line The Bottom Of The "U" With The Slit In The Plastic Clip, Tilt The Actuator Up, Once The Metal Rod Has Come Out Of The Plastic Clip Just Simply Push The End Of The "U" That Is Still In The Plastic Clip Out And You're Done! There are plastic clips that rotate on rear part of headlight under hood that release the assy then the whole thing slides forward out the front of car.
