VW Vanagon

The Westfalia camper is custom-made at the factory. Conversion of a standard Vanagon requires removing the welds from the roof of and existing camper and moving that entire roof to the vanagon, not just the fiberglass camper top. This requires a high level of skill and experience that most people don't posess. It also requires a complete donor vehicle. The interior must be moved over as well as hols cut into the side of the "new" camper to allow for the hook-ups/fill-ups on the driver side.

after unbolting and disconnecting the wires slide the starter out by the front tire.

Left hand side below intake manifold remove the two bell housing bolts that hold starter in place. Bell housing bolts come off easiest from below truck you will be best to use a wobbly 14mm socket and at least a 12" extension. I had my tranny off several times now.

round silver relay can the size of a quarter mounted in a socket right on the main fuse block under the dash beside the steering column. how do you replace the turn signal flasher on a 2000 maxima

There is a large round chrome fuse called "The Flasher Unit". It is located next to or close by the fuse box down by the drivers feet, or there might be a fuse in the fuse box,the fuse box is labeled.

The turn signal flasher is under the dashboard mounted on the lower corner of the fuse panel.

to replace the switch u will need the key to the old ignition switch. its as simple as getting a t15 bits to take off the steering colum and unscrewing the switch i think the bit size is t25 and you need a special bit with a hole in the center of it. you take off the steering wheel column covers.

The turn signal flasher on a 1977 Ford custom truck is behind the instrument panel. The instrument panel is located to the right of the steering wheel.

They are supposed to be replaced every 60,000 miles and are located underneath the chassis by the catalytic converters

Under the dash on divers side you have to kinda lay on your head to get to it. should be silver in color and round.

It's not a signal flasher.. It's Lighting Control Module. Located to the RIGHT of the steering column by the temp/ashtray assembly.. Under, what I assume would be the kick panel.. (mine's been taken off due to retired squad)

Hi ,I have found valueable information as regards the weights etc ,, taken from a Volkswagen Manual ,,it suggests an unladen weight of 1495 kgs / with a vehicle capacity weight of 755 kgs ,and a gross vehicle weight of 2250 kgs ,,

behind the cigarette lighter...just pull(gently)off the driver's side panel that's to the left of the cigarette lighter and you can stick your fingers in there and pull it out. It's called a combination flasher.

Most 90's era vehicle had the turn signal flashed located at/in the fuse box - under the dash on the drivers side...

Easy. Look under the driver side under the van. There will be a triangular piece that is the container. Drop that down. On the side will be the pump that fits into a slot on the container. Pull the hose, pull the wires. Replace and reinstall. Done.
