It only has one. It is located in the exaust manifold in front of the engine. Four cylinder that is. If by chance you have a V6, then it would have two, both located in the exhaust maifolds, on the front, and back of the engine.

Where is the distributor module on a 1988 Chevy Cavalier?
The 1988 cavalier and or jbody cars use a coil pack. You do not have a distributor and if a ignition issue is present replacing one or all coil packs are the answer.I originally stated it could have had a distributor but,was incorrect on my first response. As said if you replace the coil packs unhook your negative battery cable prior to any electrical work to prevent and problems and safety.

How do you remove the starter in order to replace it on a 1991 Chevy Cavalier V6?
My car is a 1991 4 cyl 2.2L, the starter is locate at the front of the engine, near the oil dipstick. I have ramps so I would fit under the car, so I raised the front. Disconect the battery - if you car has one of those GM radios that requires a code to work, please check if you have it handy. Working from trhe to mark and disconnect the wires going to the starter. From underneath the car, remove the bolts that hold the starter, it will slide off and out of the engine, check if you have spacers installed, so you can reinstall the new one as before. My wife helped me, holding the starter as I put the bolts back, then reconnect the wires on the top and the battery cables, adjusted my clock and it was done, no more slow starts anymore. My starter was around $ 100.00 at a local store, it is a compact size very far from my $ 30.00 for my 1984 starter on my pick up c10.
Answeralso, if you're broke like me :) , you can get a starter rebuild kit. the pieces that most often fail on a starter are the brushes inside (electrical contacts which provide current to the [moving] rotor). replacing these is usually pretty easy and once you clean everything else out, it should work like a champ for less than $20, instead of the $100+ you would spend on a new starter. if it is your starter solenoid that failed, that can also be replaced separately from the starter motor, again getting you off cheap! hope this helps! ;)Cavalier 94 No lights on the dash board and it can not start?
I'd have to say your alternator needs replacing. And your battery probably does too. This is a relatively easy job to do yourself. Plus it will save you about $2-300. The mechanics would charge over $300 parts and labor to fix this! If you do decide to take it to a shop, please find one that will put on parts that you purchase yourself from another vendor! And don't take it to a dealer!!! They will rob you, trust me!
Before you decide to fix anything, and if you are able to get your car started, take it to Advance Auto or another parts store and have a battery test done to see if your battery has gone bad or needs a charge. Plus they can run a series of tests on your engine's electrical system to see if the alternator is operating with a proper voltage. If I remember correctly, the voltage for a good alternator should be 12-14 volts. The store should do these tests at no cost to you.
You can find a decent remanufactured alternator for around $80 - $130 at an auto parts store or online. A new battery will run you about $60. You will need a decent socket wrench (ratchet) set to do this, plus a medium-sized breaker bar with either a 14 mm or 9/16" socket to loosen and maneuver the serpentine belt tensioner pulley ( Advance Auto has a belt tensioner tool which they rent out for about $30; you get your money back when you return it). I believe you'll need a 1/2" socket to undo the bolts holding the alternator to its bracket (other socket sizes will be needed for smaller bolts involved...it's trial and error at that point...I can't remember off the top of my head what socket sizes you'll otherwise need). WD-40 comes in handy for loosening up those tight bolts, and you'll almost certainly need some pumice-based hand cleaner...this can be a dirty job!
This job is a relative piece of cake (at least you'll think so once it's all over with). A Chilton manual for your model car is the best reference for repairs I have come across. They run from $15-$30 online (ebay is a great place to look for one!)
The job basically involves removing the serpentine belt from the alternator, removing the alternator bolts, loosening the bolts for the bracket's heat shield and the bracket itself (notice I said "loosen", not "remove"), swiveling the bracket up and away from the alternator. Then you remove the electrical wiring (just 2 cables!) from the alternator, installing your new one, and doing everything I just said in reverse. It's a little more complicated than that (you'll see once you get started) but don't be discouraged...common sense will tell you what to do. Just two things: Only do this work when the engine is completely cold, and make sure that the electrical wires are put back within the heat shield when you put your new alternator on. The wires are very close to the exhaust manifold, which gets extremely hot, and you don't want those wires to melt!)
You can do this!!! This is FUN!!! I bet that if you fix this yourself, you'll be so proud and exhilarated that you'll start to wonder what else you can fix :) Just be safe, above all, and try to have the manual handy and an experienced pair of eyes over your shoulder. Go have at it! Best of luck!
Maybe all of your cylinders aren't firing. Raw fuel is being sprayed into one of the piston cylinders but the spark isn't igniting or the timing is off and it isn't igniting at the right time. The above is correct. Ignition module and coil packs are a reasonable suspicion, as well as poor plug wires or plugs. Dont forget your vacuum hose or PVC hose that is a common problem with hesitation It could also mean that the fuel pressure regulator has failed, pumping raw gas into the engine. Check the injectors. If one looks wet it could be the o-rings have gone bad and all you need to do is replace the o-rings or at worse replace the injector. I agree. I have a Cavalier and had the same problems. I eventually needed to get 2 fuel injectors replaced, as fuel was apparently going into my exhaust.

How do you bypass heater core in 1994 CAVALIER?
On the firewall, engine side, will be 2 hoses held onto the heater core pipes with clamps. Make sure the engine is cool, and get a bypass peice from your local Autozone, or what have you. Unscrew those clamps, and take the hoses off, then put the 2 hoses on the bypass pipe, and clamp back down. Do this only when the engine is cold. You will likely have to have the car up on jackstands, or wheel ramps. Its much easier to access the pipes from under the car. If you are tackling this job, you might just consider replacing the heater core while you are there. Its only about 30 mins more work, and is fairly easy. Best to grab a service manual for detailed instructions on this.

Where is the fuel pump relay located on a 1973 Mercedes 450 sl?
I'm going to assume that the location is the same for a 1973 Mercedes 450 SLC. There is a fuse compartment in the passenger side kick-panel...remove the kick-panel and you'll see several relays. The fuel pump relay is in the upper left. When turning the ignition to the second position you should be able to hear a click from the relay even with the kick-panel in place.
