How do you replace the radiator in your 2003 Kia Sorento?
Did mine last week. Firstly, undo the two wiring harnesses for the two cooling fans and then undo the two top bolts at the top that hold the plastic fan cowling to the radiator. Undo all the hoses that are attached to the top of the radiator. Lift the cowling (with fans attached) out making sure not to damage the fragile radiator fins when removing or installing. Now the trickier bit. The transmission cooler which is in front and to the bottom of the radiator and bolted to the radiator with two screws on either side need to be removed next. For some reason nobody will ever know (if you know tell me to put me out of my misery) one of the two small rubber hose that come from transmission cooler goes into a separate chamber in the bottom of the radiator. Another small hose takes it back to the engine. These two hoses need to be cleaned, removed and immediately plugged so you do not lose all your tranny fluid. Expect the tranny fluid in the radiator to come out on the floor, so cover it. As soon as you start the engine all air in the transmission lines as well as the bottom of the new radiator will be gone so you don't have to do anything further.
Just a couple of things......
Don't bend 8 year old radiator hoses any more than you absolutely have to.
Don't forget to top up the transmission fluid as per the directions with a Dextron 3 type fluid..
Be as absolutely clean as you can with the transmission hoses and the plugs you use to plug them.

What coolant do you use to fill a car radiator?
Varies form car to car. Please ask a new question with year, make, model, and engine size.
You have to use the coolant reservoir. You'll notice it's marked as a pressure cap. If it's loose, you'll notice as your temp guage will keep going up and down instead of being steady. Many vehicles do not have a cap ON THE RADIATOR, but instead have a pressure cap on the coolant reservoir. I don't own a Buick Skylark and haven't worked on one, so I can only guess with you.
Can radiator leak trans. fluid?
if you have an automatic transmission there should be cooling lines going to the radiator to cool the transmission fluid the lines could be leaking or the tank could be leaking

Where is the coolant drain plug in a 97 Mazda Protege?
There is usually one on the bottom of the radiator.
Possible AnswerI have gone to the dealer and the chief mechanic said that there is no drain plug on the 1997 Mazda protege. Sounds sketchy to me, but I can't find it either.***Many (most I think) cars have two drains in the cooling system -- one on the bottom of the radiator and one on the engine block. You normally open both when changing the coolant because the coolant won't drain out of the block very well if you don't. I expect that the dealer and chief mechanic were answering the question "Where is engine block coolant drain plug?" I have just been crawling around under my 2002 Protege which I think has much the same engine as the 1997. Damned if I can find a drain plug on the block. Based on what you were told, I'm going to proceed on the assumption that there isn't one*** vtcodger
How do you flush the radiator on 2000 Chevy Malibu?
On the Chevy Malibu 2000, it is tricky to flush your radiator. It appears there is no drain plug at all, but there is. You have to look in front of your radiator on the drivers side, close to the very bottom of the front right-side of the radiator. You will see a little white protruding cylindrical plastic mechanism , which you need a square bit to fit in and twist it, to drain your radiator.
I just flushed mine after replacing intake gaskets, drain radiator, when empty put a garden hose in coolant tank and flush until clear. add coolant flush, and flush some more. when system is clean, you can close drain plug on radiator add coolant bring up to proper level.
Yep, that is where it is, turn it one quarter turn quarter clockwise ( lefty lucy ). Mine stuck in, it pulls out about 1 half inch. Once drained push it back in and one quarter turn to right.

Can you use stop leak on the radiator of your 1994 jaguar xj6?
Yes. Suggest using "Bars Leak" Anything else may plug up your radiator. Yes, but recognize that stop-leak in any form will only stop the problem temporarily. As the radiator heats and cools it also expands and contracts. Sooner or later, the stop-leak will fail. And it will probably be sooner than later.
Where is the radiator drain plug for a 2003 Pontiac Montana?
I just changed mine, so I can tell you exactly where it is without guessing. It is located on the driver's side, bottom rear corner of the left side radiator tank. It is a plastic plug with a keyed end enabling you to turn. If it has not been opened, might require pliars. It was easiest to reach mine by laying down on ground, left side, facing or looking forward in front of car. Reach arm into wheel well, around frame(my hand is not too large), feel around. Turn slowly when opening for the first time, it is sticky and you don't want to break. I just got rid of that Dex-Cool in time. I suggest everyone do the same.
