i had the same problem with oil leaking too, i tried all kind of stop leak. but only "lucas" oil stop leak worked, haven't leaked since. My 92 Vigor had the same issue. It was initially diagnosed as a leaking oil pan gasket. I brought it to Acura and was advised that the leak came from the oil filter adapter assembly seal and not the oil pan gasket. To access this part, the front differential assembly had to come off along with the return hoses.

You don't need to cut the wires at all, I just got mine installed in 5 minutes with the adapter speaker plug, you can get them from Amazon or eBay for 16 bucks. You save a lot of time and you don't mess up the wire system of your car with the black tape and stuff.

This one I would obtain a repair manual from HAYNES 1-805-498-6703.But you will have to start with a low fuel tank then siphon all remaining gas from it. Disconnect ground on battery. Raise car on jackstands and then drop tank and disconnect all hoses marking them in the process. All fuel injected cars have the fuel pumps in the tank and it will unscrew from top of the fuel tank once you remove tank from vehicle.On an older vehicle I personally would obtain a good used pump from a salvage yard for about $75.00 vs $400.00 new. You are better taking off the engine with the transmission together, I have a 93' Vigor and changed the transmission and it pretty hard, there many bolts that are hard to get; if you need to changed your engine, it will be much easier taking the transmission off while the engine is off the vehicle..
Its definitley the brake stop light switch, located on the brake line. If you follow the brake up you will see a little dewhickey that loos like a compressed pin... this is what controls the brake light from going on or off. It must be loose. Before purchasing a new brake stop light switch try tightening the thing. you can also find it by following these instructions...
1. open the hood
2. look to your left, there is a black plastic triangular box, this is one of your fuse panels
3. take the lid off. under it, you will see a sticker with a 5 digit number, this is your code.
(note) you only get 3 tries to enter the correct code before the stereo system locks.
you can unlock it by disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it again to get another 3 attempts.

Could be the result of a faulty fuel relay. Usually when this happens, the engine will crank but will not start. Just locate the relay in the kick panel and replace it or just resolder the board. Usually theres 1 or 2 cold solder joints causing the problem. Its simply because of the tight area it is in and the lack of ventilation (i'm assuming).
