Have the service engine soon (check engine), same thing light scanned to know exactly what is the problem. You may purchase a cheap scan tool at some car shops like Canadian tire and scan the code yourself. Obviously make sure to change the defective parts with good parts and cancel the code afterwards. The check engine light indicates a problem with you engine that may or may not affect the way it runs, the only way to tell is to have the codes read at the dealer or a parts store that will do it for free and use the information gained to affect a repair.

That could be caused by several things: clogged fuel filter, fuel pump going bad, fouled spark plugs, clogged air filter, dirty throttle body

Could be several reasons - simplest one is that the gas cap was not screwed down tightly enough. Make sure the cap is tightened down and then drive the car for a day or two until the computer re-sets itself. If the light doesn't go out then continue looking for other causes having to do with the car's emission system. (i.e. - PCV valve needs cleaning/replacing - one of the hoses is plugged or kinked, etc, etc.

I would be suspicious of the ignition module.Mine had same problem I replaced the plug wires and now all better. I had #2 cylinder misfire reporting on 1998 Ford Escort ZX2. I noted that I could force SES light to flash at high RPM also. (Flashing light indicates misfire in progress. Serious for engine.) Replacement of plugs and wires resolved the issue. This was well overdue, and plugs showed burn damage to electrodes. It also could be your fuel injectors going out. Id change plugs and wires first, and see if it helps. Does it always come on only when you get to 50? Or does it come on when you accelerate, say, going uphill?

If it's on it means the computer has detected a fault with a component. You should get it checked out. If your engine light comes on you need to have your car serviced. An auto parts store or a mechanic can hook your car up to a computer diagnostic machine and tell you exactly what needs to be worked on.

You turn off the check engine light on any vehicle by finding out why it is on and fixing the problem. That light is on because one of the electrical leads going to the engine's computer is saying, "We have a problem." You can hook up the car to a computer and find out what the problem is. You can attach a light down below the dash and count the number of times it blinks and check a chart to get the number and then compare the number to a chart and find the problem. Or, you can cut the wire behind the dash.

You need to repair the problem that set the light and then use an OBD2 scan tool to reset the light. If you do not fix the problem the light will just come back on.

There are pages and pages of things that can cause a check engine light. You need to have it checked with a scantool. Then the code can be diagnosed and repaired.

It could be that your coolant level is low or you have other coolant system problems. Whenever the check engine light is on, use a code scanner to find out why.

cylinder 1 misfire, is probably a bad ignition coil, it plugs into the spark plug as a coil wire unit, if you have a v6 your #1 cylinder will start on the passenger side and #6 will end on the driver side if its a 4 cylinder #1 will be closer to the radiator and 4 will be closer to the front window, bad coil causes loss of power, and just a shakey ride, it can easily be replaced and cost about 30.00 bucks also think about changing your plugs while you're at it.

Your question isn't clear, but I'll offer a few thoughts. There are 2 manifolds, an intake and a exhaust. I'm not sure what you mean by "pan". It is possible that this can set a check engine light if one of the manifolds are cracked. If it is the intake it may be changing the air/fuel mixture or pressure. If it is the exhaust, depending on hte locations of the O2 sensors, it may pick up the wrong O2 content.
